Amazing diner food that's affordable! Full of regular customers who just keep coming back for more! It has a very family friendly atmosphere! If you go often enough the owners will even start to know you by name! It's my favourite breakfast spot.

Great place. Current owners of 21 years closing May 31st, 2022. Someone said they may reopen under new management. Cross your fingers and hope that the thing that happened at Famous Sam's doesn't happen here (the new owners were not up to snuff).
First time customer at Mel's. We ordered the Hungry Man special but substituted the pancakes for french toast. The owners were very polite and kind. They even have delivered my meal to my car. The portion was very good. The home fries were nicely cooked and crispy (not soggy like other places).
Super friendly staff. Quick turnaround time. Everything was nicely packaged. Great value for the size of portions. A worthy local business to support. Thank you for the delicious breakfast!
We stopped in here on our way back to Barrie and had the BEST breakfast we've had in a long time! They kindy packaged it in a box for us as we were taking it with us. ( Juice too!) Everything was perfect, cooked exactly as requested and there was plenty of food!! Could not have asked for a better meal, and the price was beyond reasonable. Thank you so much π
