Great place. Current owners of 21 years closing May 31st, 2022. Someone said they may reopen under new management. Cross your fingers and hope that the thing that happened at Famous Sam's doesn't happen here (the new owners were not up to snuff).

First time customer at Mel's. We ordered the Hungry Man special but substituted the pancakes for french toast. The owners were very polite and kind. They even have delivered my meal to my car. The portion was very good. The home fries were nicely cooked and crispy (not soggy like other places).

First time eating at this restaurant, the food portion is good, the food is normal, coffee is off, too watery. Service was great. Just when we pay the bill, the front desk just punched in the amount himself, this guy put in $1.85 for each coffee but actually I ordered with combo, should’ve be $1 e

We stopped in here on our way back to Barrie and had the BEST breakfast we've had in a long time! They kindy packaged it in a box for us as we were taking it with us. ( Juice too!) Everything was perfect, cooked exactly as requested and there was plenty of food!! Could not have asked for a better me
