Review Let's Be Frank - Newmarket

The fettuccine alfredo was so disappointing! Completely bland, clearly the chef did not taste the dish before sending it out : ( the wife ate the chicken, which also wasn't that great). HOW COULD THEY CHARGE FOR FOOD LIKE THIS. I DON'T GET THE REVIEWS. The calzone is definitely a go to here...it's worth easily 4 stars. The dough was fresh and the sauce is so tasty. What a waste of money for the pasta though. Paid $37.50 for both, should have gone somewhere else. I would not recommend this place. Sad :(

The food is delicious! It was our first time ever eating here. We’re from the U.S.A and this was the best Italian food we’ve ever had!

Ordered a catered dinner for 40 people and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone raved about the taste and authenticity. Lots of leftovers…yummm!! LBF was also very accommodating when it came to providing meals for several gluten free guests. Always love the Let’s be Frank experience!

The food is amazing. My daughter had an amazing pasta dish for lunch and brought home a lasagna for the family. Best lasagna ever - homemade and authentic Italian.

I don't understand some of the recent reviews as I have been coming here SINCE they opened and have felt costumer service is the main thing that sets this place apart from other places in Newmarket. It is a small family owned business where everyone works their heart out all day and truly do value their costumers. It is a place where customers come in week in week out and the relationship is more than just hi and bye. I have a conversation with the owners and staff all the time and they are always happy and joking around. If anyone is calling them rude or argumentative, that just isn't the case at large, and I am sure we ALL have bad days. I would advise those of you bashing a small family businesses DURING a pandemic that has led to being understaffed and overwork, to re-evaluate yourselves. If you are interested in eating McDonalds, no one is stopping you, I'll stick to Let's Be Frank.

Fresh pizza $10 for small size (6 slices)... Very tasty pasta $14-18... Too bad the lasagna is not vegetarian, so we didn't get to try. Portion is big so we didn't have room for cake which we bought one to take home. Order from the front ,menu above the kitchen , find a table yourself, they bring the food to you. TV repeats tango and dance episodes which is fascinating. Salmon penne has very little salmon but tonnes of favor. Frank special pasta is a little plain but it's good during lent. Rice ball with cheese is super good! Staffs are friendly and welcoming. I saw frozen pasta and lasagna for sale. Will come back if I'm in the area. Very nice decor.

Meals are quick and tasty and well priced. I had sausage and spinach with penne, the noodles nicely al dente. Cafeteria style, order and pay, they bring it to the table. Enjoyable meal!

We bought food from there last night and was so disappointed. There was barely any flavour to the pasta.. their chicken wings were awful! Again no flavour, salt or spices. The portion was not representative of the price as well. Never going there again.

LBF offers a wide selection of Italian food to satisfy you cravings. From Pasta, to Pizza, to Salads, and in between, they have it all. They have a hot table offering Veal, Chicken, Eggplant, Meatballs, and Steak for Sandwiches. They also have Grilled Chicken Breast for Salads. They also run Pasta specials that they make for you. The quality of the good is top notch. They also offer food for catering, to which I have done before, and the food was prepared and delivered at the same high standard as in the store. Everything is very reasonably priced. I have been eating at Let's Be Frank for years. I have never had a bad experience. LBF is hands down the best Italian food in the area! (From an Italian)

Place is pretty casual yet nice. I love the renovations and finally have a lot more eat in places to eat. I always leave that place stuffed full. Great recommend to everyone looking for excellent Italian food

We were driving through Newmarket and trying to think of a place that all 5 of us will enjoy. This was the right choice! Authentic food and amazing prices! We'll be making the hour drive again, just for your delicious food!

We went in tonight for the first time and ordered a thin crust pizza. It was delicious!! We sat at a small table and Sam and staff were very friendly. The place is cozy and clean and a great atmosphere. This is our new Friday night place from now on. What a well kept secret this place has been. It's so close to where we live as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was there yesterday after there new renovations and never have I witnessed such amazing customer service, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. I Would definitely go back, the atmosphere is very peaceful

This is definitely one of our top restaurants! Whenever we're feeling like treating ourselves, we go to Frank's. One meal order for me typically lasts until the next day(great portions!) We've been 5 times now and it's always excellent! Great food, great people, great customer service!

There was no pizza or pasta. I had to eat a salad and bruscetta. Im still hungry. Very disappointed I won't be back.

First time visiting last night, excellent food and service. The food tastes fresh and delicious. Much better quality than many Italian restaurants I've been to. This is so close to my house. It will definitely become one of my go to restaurants. �

The food is great. No skimping here. Soup is full of vegetables, sandwiches are full and pasta is excellent.

The food is really good but the wait time for takeout is horrendous - particularly as they won't take call-ahead orders. As of now I have been cooling my heels for 37 minutes waiting for four sandwiches and an order of spaghetti. Avoid until they sort out their phones, or if you have nothing else to do with your evening!

I really wanted to like it. I went in on a weekday for lunch for some fettuccine Alfredo it was extremely bland and I didn't even finish it.

Best food ever !!!!! Cant't wait for them to re-open. Such nice people.

As average and uninspiring as an Italian restaurant can possibly be. The type office anyone can make. If however you are desperately hungry and don't have the time or inclination to cook...and if this place is en route...then use their take-out. They are good about having orders ready on time

Great, quick dinner.. I stopped in here looking for a good quick dinner and that's exacting what I got. I had the chicken breast sandwich and ask the lady to put whatever she wanted on it. delicious! And the people were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Sadly disappointing. Both the food and the service at this place leave a lot to be desired. My wife and I went in for lunch, and she ordered the chicken limone special. The woman immediately turned away to start making it and ignored me for several minutes. Eventually I ordered a veal sandwich, which was served to me almost immediately. I was 3/4 way done before my wife's meal was ready. Both were disappointing. The veal was very tough, making it difficult in a sandwich. The chicken was tasteless, the vegetables overcooked and the pasta only so-so. At least we didn't break the bank, but we won't be going back. The irony is that the place is surrounded by chain fast food places (McDonald's, Subway and Mr. Sub) and we went in specifically to avoid them.

Amazing!. Amazing food, service, and environment! I've been dining here for almost a year and I've never been disappointed. Seriously delicious food. Their new chicken limone is my favourite! I would recommend this restaurant to all- couples and families!

I took my in laws there for dinner tonight and was very impressed considering my inlaws are Italian and they loved it!!!!! they need a liquor license though it would have bean and nicer experience with wine.....

Horrible experience!. I read good reviews on Let's Be Frank so I decided to check it out. I went on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. You think they would have a fresh hot table for dinner, not the lunch leftovers. There was'nt much to choose from, a bit of old spaghetti or lasagne. I ordered the lasagne. It was the worst I've ever eaten. Most likely because it was sitting all day and the pasta was so overcooked it was horrible. I didn't have any sides because the potatoes and vegtable looked old and squishy. Totally unappealing. They did however make me new garlic bread instead of the old dried up leftovers from lunch. I was too embarrassed to complain but I will never be back.:(

Great vela on a bun. We went to Let's Be Frank and ordered veal on a bun and I was very impressed.ordered the veal on a bun with mushrooms and was pleasantly surprised that it came with two large p ices of veal on a large fresh bun. The price was reasonable and the food fresh. I am from out of town and have returned a few times since just to enjoy the veal. My sister had the chicken parmesan and quite enjoyed it. I will be returning this evening for more!

Don't believe the website. First, let's be frank. This is not a sit down, table service restaurant as the website would have you believe. It is cafeteria style with steam table food. The menu prices on the site are wrong! I don't know if this is really meant to mislead or an error. Don't get me wrong the food tasted great. But, being steam table, the food was NOT hot and some pasta was dried out. When they asked if we wanted cheese on the veal and chicken parmesan, I was shocked. There are no desserts offered and the prices were high for this type of restaurant. Remember, the food was good tasting and if Frank were ever to open a real restaurant. I would gladly patronize it. As it happened, we drove 45 minutes to try this out based on the website for a nice dinner and enjoyed the taste, but not the venue.

Awesome food. Frank's food is fantastic.. The portions sizes are truely representitive of the culture and that little old grandma feeding until you want to explode.. I have eaten at most Italian style restaurants in Newmarket..Some were great but most of them I havent been back in years because the portion sizes were tiny and it all tasted like Rago with Basil.<br/><br/> Frank and his staff are warm and welcoming.. Seriously you cant lose here, I have three restaurants myself and Frank is Fantastic..<br/><br/> Note to Frank.. Take the neg comements with a grain of salt.. 25% are TRUE 25% are people playing critic and 50% are other industry people scared..<br/><br/> Keep up the good work!!! Great food. We are so happy to finally have another Italian option in Newmarket. My husband had the meatball sandwich and said the bun was super fresh and the sandwich wasn't soggy. My panini was great...made to order as I am a vegetarian. Will remember to order the homemade red pepper mayo or pesto on it next time...that was my fault. Can't wait to go back and try the delicious looking pasta and rice ball. The atmosphere is great to!

Delish. This place opened up a few months ago near my house. My boyfriend and brother have been raving about how good it was so I decided to go for lunch and it did live up to all the hype.<br/><br/>I had the chicken entrée which came with pasta and vegetables and my boyfriend had the veal sandwich (which I tried and it was delicious). Will definitely go back for the veal sandwich.<br/><br/>Portions are very generous, reasonably priced, friendly staff/owner. This place is a gem of a lunch spot.

IMPRESSED!!!. I have eaten at lets be franks 3 times now and i'm really impressed with the delicious food and the prices are quite reasonable, good sized servings, warm and friendly service. it really doesn't get much better than this. i can't say enough good about this place. i will say that if you haven't tried it, you are missing out!

Holy veal on a bun!. My quest for the best veal on the bun ends here! <br/>Picture this: two slices of tender, breaded veal cutlets, savoury homemade tomatoe sauce, caramelized onions, mushrooms and beautifully done red and green peppers on a lovely, soft bun (no ouch factor here!). I say this beats St. Lawrence market. Two thumbs up for FLAVOUR! FLAVOUR!<br/>Try it. You'll love it.

DEEEE-LISH!. The rice-ball was absolutely amazing...tasted like it came straight from MY Nonna's kitchen! And the veal sandwich, so moist and tasty...truly delicious!
