Review Sushi Jun - Newmarket

One thing that I always think as the most crucial point when ordering from Sushi Restaurant is the freshness. It shows how they organize ingredients to serve the best quality dishes, and it directly proves their all efforts by the food they serve. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some nice place in Newmarket area for the fresh and flavourful sushi dishes, it's a must-try place. You will notice right away, after having a bite of sushi or sashimi. I've felt the texture is very nice and chewy which means the fishes that were used for those dishes I ordered were literally fresh. No need to worry about fishy smell or weird texture you'd experience when they are not fresh. Since lockdown started again, Sushi Jun is such a good alternative place to order some high quality Sushi Cuisines to celebrate with your people. Oh, and they do some authentic Korean foods as well. Like some typical but really good dishes they have been serving; such as Bulgogi, Galbi, etc. and Japanese Ramen Noodle Soup as well Go check out what they have; you won't regret :)

This place is a Take Out place. This totally reminds me of the Sushi joint I go to in Richmond Hill area back in 2001, wher the only person you can talk to is the person taking your order. Her name is Jenny. This place has been in business for over 15 years. Amazing food for the prices and they give lots of options for authentic Japanese food. Great service and will venture on other items they have on the menu.

Yeah!! Fresh fish for sashimi or sushi at the highest quality you can trust. Especially maki rolls are best in the town. Pick up only. The price was also reasonable but there's some waiting on the weekend. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Great first experience. Food is priced reasonably and very flavorful. I ordered the spicy salmon roll, miso soup, and the gyoza to-go. The salmon tasted fresh with the accompanying creamy wasabi and the non-artificially colored ginger. The miso soup had amazingly deep flavors. The gyoza tasted ok. Great to know I have nice reasonably priced Japanese take out place close to home now.

Overall great customer service and decent sushi but some things didn't seem as fresh as expected. We did order pick up so I'm not sure if they had our order ready earlier than they told us they would (as we picked it up close to the time they told us) but the shrimp and crab tempura seemed as though they were just sitting there for a while and not at all crunchy (we had some in the car expecting the crunch). The avocado in the rolls also didn't seem as fresh as they looked darker, as if they put something on it to prevent it from browning, which I'm not used to seeing when having sushi. The crab in the rolls and tempura, I kind of expected it to be the fake crab but they should specify that in their menu. The sushi was ok but expected more.

Excellent experience! We did take out! Very happy we found this place. Our order was ready pretty quick considering they were super busy that evening (Feb 14th). Portions were big, tastes delicious. We definitely will be back soon

My favorite sushi place in Newmarket! I always order the torched pressed salmon and ebi, Orangeville roll, shrimp tempura and this time with a dynamite roll. Amazing prices, size and quality! Only thing is they are very busy on weekends so make sure you order in advance or you'll wait an hour!

This is a gem of a location. While it’s small and technically has a few seats it has some of the best food we have yet experienced. The owners take their business very seriously and it shows as it runs amazingly well. Pricing is pretty darn good!! If you are looking for high quality food at a good price this is the place. We will be back for sure. The canned beverages are very cold which is always a bonus.
