Review Mandarin Restaurant - Newmarket

It's much better than last time I visited it. The server for our table (Cindy) was amazing. She was very polite and had a big smile all the time. The restaurant was very clean and fully opened this time. The food was good but not the best. The price has gone up to 40$ per person. The server took a picture of us at the end. The greeting at the front desk was very nice. The washrooms are clean and tidy. The location is great and quiet with so many parking lots.

Went to this location for an anniversary, the food was great the service was excellent they are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant provìded gloves for there sanitation station. Also has a cute panda board for some fun pictures. Was a great time and experience.

Staff was attentive and for a buffet it was pretty clean. They provided disposable gloves and lots of sanitation stations in the food service area. In a post pandemic world. I was glad to see that. The food variety was good, but nothing struck me as amazing. I think the variety is the drawing card--because the price is not. The price for two people without drinks is around 90 dollars. I felt it wasn't worth it and the money could have been better spent somewhere else. Personally I felt a little pressure to get my money's worth that I overrate. That's entirely my fault. It will be a long time before we go back.

We have been going to this Mandarin location for several years and have not ever been disappointed. The well trained staff has always been friendly and efficient. We are especially pleased with the food, its variety, consistency and quality. Finally, after two years of take out, we were able to enjoy dining inside again and the food was as good as ever. Excellent safety measures, offering gloves and sanitizer when going to the buffet.

It's not one of the better mandarin I've been to compared to several others I went to. The food is decent but I felt the selection was missing on some things on a Sunday lunch time. The price is somewhat fair but a little on the higher end. The staff were friendly for the most part but not so much compared to other Mandarin locations. You can still not go wrong when it comes to a meal from Mandarin, but there are slightly better locations so it's not quite one you'd go out of your way for.

My brother has severe autism and we’ve been coming here for years and every time we Always get the best care they are so kind and understanding and everything we need they help us this is the best restaurant that we have ever been to and we will continue to go to this restaurant forever I 100% recommend this place they are the sweetest and they’re the most accommodating and they have the best food and the cleanest and sanitary environment!! As someone who has many health struggles it’s scary to eat out especially after Covid but this restaurant succeeds all my requirements for my safety!!

We came here on a Thursday night, the buffet was not available but they had a menu you could order from , most items ranged from 1.99 to 5.99 depending what you ordered, we came here expecting the buffet and this setup threw us off abit , took awhile to eat and to decide what to order , the selection didn't really cover all the bases and there was multiple things that were limited or sold out. Staff was super friendly though and she earned a full tip for sure , in the entire place which is not exactly small by any means it was just us and one other table. I recommend calling ahead to make sure the buffet is available that day , I don't think I would come back for the menu option.

Awesome buffet. Hi I'm from montreal, I'm visiting my friends in newmarket Anderson we decided to eat dinner at the mandarin. I am so overwhelmed of the amount of food they are offering. they have very friendly service and very tasty food especially the crab legs and prime rib. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!! awesome place.

Group of Seven. We reluctantly ventured out to the Mandarin on Canada Day to take advantage of the Free Buffet that was advertised. To our surprise, the line was very reasonable and we were offered bottled water and hand held fans while we waited (They also came by with garbage bags for the clean up). After approx 1.5hrs, we enjoyed an amazing free buffet, compliments of the Mandarin (NewMarket). Despite the free meal, the serving staff were friendly and helpful and constantly refilling the complimentary beverages. We have had several dinners with large groups, at the Mandarin Newmarket location, and are always very pleased with the food and the service. Thank you for the kind gesture today. It is nice to see a business showing their appreciation. We will be back.

Regular buffet food. Very friendly service. Good for the family with younger children since no waiting for food. Bring your own crayons / toys.

Consistent value. My kids (7, and 12) take their mom out to Mandarin every year for Valentine's and mother's day. We have done this for three eyars and always get maximum value. Polite service and very authentic. Also unauthentic items like ice cream, roast and pizza, but for Chinese options they have chicken balls, black bean beef, noodles and hot and sour soup. All you can eat. Kids enjoy ice cream and cookies.

Good service. The food always good, lots of variety. The staff are amazing, first class all the way. To think we would get amazing service in a buffet place. But we always had different servers and they are all very good.
To me service is a big deal.
The food could be a bit more vegetarian friendly, but other than that, All GOOD!
Well worth the line up. LOL.
Yum Yum.

Always the same, always good!. Went to the Manderin on Valentine's day for lunch and was surprised there was a line up at 1:00pm. She said it was a 15 minute wait and it was.
Great lunch as usual and lots of food as usual with the hot trays being filled up fast.
I prefer to go on the weekends to dinner as they have hot and cold crab. It is always plentiful and always good.
No matter when you go, lunch or dinner, the food is always the same. I like a place where I know just what the food is gonna taste like.
Keep up the good work Manderin and Happy
New Year to you and yours!

I used to love this place but went there on New Years Eve with no reservation placed my name on the wait list 4 adults 1 child I was ok to wait that was not the big deal however after about 40min my mother in-law decided to go see what the wait was like at Cynthia's she came back and said she got us a table right away. I went to tell the host to take our name off their wait list and I was informed that oh we haven't put your name on the list yet we are still too busy!! So basically I waited around for about an hour I was told the wait was about 90 min long I was so mad time well wasted thanks Mandarin I won't be back

Food keeps coming. Wow, this place is packed and great way to handle the crowds. Good food and great selection.

If the hotplates are emply or low on food, one mention to staff and in a few min its all full. I cant imagne th ehundreds of Chinese cooking up on hundreds of machines in the basement! I swear one day a bus pulled up and when we got inside there was nobody. I guess they ship in the staff and lock them down in the basement.

Best China place in Town for the value.

Once and if you can get over that this restaurant is not high end, is an all you can eat buffet, and is "Canadianized" Chinese food, then you will find it to be a pleasant experience. The establishment is clean and roomy. The staff is attentive and polite. The decor is also pleasant and relevant. The food is very salty, but apart from that, there is little to complain about. The price I found to be a little high, especially since it was a lunch buffet. Which is a pity because for a few dollars less, the quality and selection could be the same, but with more attendance frequency.

Mandarin Newmarket Location. Over the years I developed a digestive problem. and every time I eat it actually is very uncomfortable, except at the Mandarin. I have no idea how they do it. If its MSG great, but I can tell you, I feel "great" the next day.

The food and service is "awsome" very busy though, sometimes 1 to 2 hour wait, gee, I wonder why.

Cant figure out how they do it, every dish, no matter what it is tastes "great".

Good Work Mandarin, We could learn a lot from you.
