We finally got around to trying this local bakery which has been highly recommended by so many people...it did not disappoint at all! The cinnamon cruffin and chocolate almond croissant were still warm and so incredibly delicious! Still need to try the pumpkin scones. All of the items were fairly priced and good portions as well. We can't wait to try more of their baked goods. So yummy!

Was introduced to this bakery when the pandemic hit. I always looked forward to their cruffin of the month!! Everything is fresh, flakey and delicious. Even though I drive a long way to get their, I make sure I visit at least once every few months.

First visit June 2022- small cute shop with pick up and go counter. Got there right when they opened, not a massive selection for walk-in but it was delicious! Chocolate croissant, almond choclate croissant and cinnamon roll were all deliciously crisp/flake on the outside and good amount of chocolate on the inside. Almond chocolate had great flavor for both. Their sourdough loaf was good but personally not my favourite as I was hoping I'd be a bit more dense inside (my personal preference). Staff very friendly. Will be back to try other items( brownies, cookies, scones)!

Everything is so fresh. I was just lucky enough to be able to get some Nutella goodies before they were all sold out! Super tasty. Will definitely come back. The owner is also very friendly!! Thank you!!

We first heard about Nutmeg from friends who live closer by, and now it's one of our faves even though it's a slight trek for us! Their cookies and brownies are our must-have go-tos, but their cruffins, scones, and cakes are delicious too! At the moment, if you want something specific, it's best to go online, check their menu, and order in advance (currently, you need to order exactly a week in advance).

We have tried so many bakeries in the area and Nutmeg is worth the hype. Everything we tried was delectable. The cinnamon and sugar cruffin hot from the oven? To die for! And don’t get me started about their butter tarts, oatmeal cookies, croissants or sourdough. They have lots of same day availability through their online ordering system but make sure to order early as everything sells like hot cakes… literally. I can’t wait to see what else these talented bakers have up their sleeves 👏👏👏

Awesome pastries... especially enjoy the ones with Nutella :-) I don’t usually wake up early o the weekends, but these treats I did 😀 Lots of different pastries to choose from. A real treat. Wish Megan would Uber eat or deliver somehow in Vaughan or Richmond Hill.

Megan was amazing to work with for my Wedding Cake- she was able to put my vision in cake at it was a highlight of the evening! Megan was prompt in delivery and was a true professional throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend Nutmeg enough! Nutmeg is amazing! I live about 5 hours away and every time I come to Newmarket I go to nutmeg. We also had our wedding cakes done by Megan. Not only were the delicious and beautiful but they were very affordable and Megan was so amazing to deal with - quick responses and so accommodating!

Megan and the staff at nutmeg are just so amazing. We had our wedding cake made and we had all of the bread at our tables ordered from them. We had countless compliments on the bread and the cake and everything looked so wonderful. Our cake was stunning and Megan dealt with all my emails and questions in such a wonderful and professional way! The quality of the cake was incredible. We're looking forward to basically any special occasion so we can order another cake soon!

We went to Nutmeg during their grand opening weekend and had a coffee, butter tart and a cookie for the road. I'm hooked! The butter tart was perfect! The coffee and cookie were really good too. Nutmeg's posts on their page make my mouth water, lol. I can't wait to try their coconut "blondies", just from the picture alone :)
P.S. I love that new businesses are coming in to Newmarket's Main Street.
