Review Lil' Brew Hops - Newmarket

I LOVE this place. Mackenzie and Megan Mac are amazing. I drive here from Mississauga about once a week these days simply because the girls are so kind to chat with, and they make the best espresso martinis I've ever had in my life. They've known my "usual" since my second visit and have always given the best, friendliest, professional service. Hard working girls always kill it. Can't wait to try the brunch, which they've told me is amazing... Still get the espresso.

Loved it. Wonderful flavours. Cozy. The parsnip fries were great and not at all what I expect from parsnip.

I rarely post negative reviews, but our dining experience was so disappointing, I feel compelled to share our experience. There were issues with the quality of the food, the timing of the delivery of the food, as well as the quality of the service provided. Two cocktails arrived before the third was served. One of the appetizers that was ordered as an entree arrived before any other food, when it was clearly understood that it was going to be an entree. The next two choices were then delivered, while our daughter's dinner was served quite a bit after all the other food. The empanadas were very doughy . . . almost as though they had not been fully cooked. A request for hot sauce was not delivered. All in all, a very poor experience. I am not sure if the timing of the food delivery was the fault of the server or the kitchen, but an effort should be made to ensure all food arrives at the same time so no one is sitting around waiting, while others have their meals. The server was very apologetic throughout the entire service, but that only seemed to highlight all the things that were going wrong. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

This was one of the best dinners we've ever had. My husband and daughter and I opted for the Chefs Tasting special. A selection of choices made by the chef, with some input from us through our server asking us what we like generally. It was $50 a person (reg$55) but it also included a drink and dessert and it was served family style. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. So much good quality food! And the servers were all fantastic. Wonderful place with a nice higher end vibe. The patio was also full. I can't say enough about the food and that they try very hard to please by tailoring the items you receive to things that you indicated you would enjoy. We will definitely be back!! Check the pics. It was 10 courses in all! Yes 10!

Go to place for good food in Newmarket. A bit pricy but mostly worth it. Good drinks and experienced staff.

Great service, excellent food at a good price. I highly suggest the Chicken Lollipops and Parsnip Fries. I came with 2 others and we were going to share food and they brought out the dishes we ordered one after another instead of all at once which was nice. They also gave just long enough of a gap after each dish.

The waitresses doesn’t seem to like their jobs and apparently neither does the kitchen staff.

Service is not good, food is amazing. Great location but terrible service. Water is never filled unless asked and it was such a tease!! They left a bottle full of water on the table, after we filled our glasses, they took it away. Ugh!!! Reccomend the chips and dip, it comes with a nice surprise deep fried meat. Its a lovely spot for patio and casual drink :)

Went Saturday night for my birthday dinner. Got there and they made a mistake on the reservation had us down for 8:30 not 8 pm as we requested. Then while waiting 30 minutes in line we asked if we could get a drink from the bar as it was only 5 feet away and was told "No we don't serve people waiting in line?!" I could literally reach out and touch the bar stools! OK... they did seat us promptly at 8:30 but we were right next to a huge party of 12-14 people and had to yell to talk to one another. The waitress explains everything is ordered to share as this is their concept and everything comes on one bill?! Nothing like doing math at the end of the night. Then to top everything off we all go to order the Oysters and they are SOLD OUT!!! Our waitress told us to come back Tuesday for Oyster night. But I tell her I came tonight for the Oysters?! Too bad I guess. Overall the food looked good but the portions were small and way over priced. I'm sorry but $12 for 5 chicken wings is ridiculous! Not to mention the menu is confusing and we had to keep asking our server about the portion sizes. I guess we went expecting dinner not to have to a have a few apps. My wife mentioned to the waitress that we were all here for my birthday and got next to zero response, nada, zilch. The only saving grace here are the cocktails! They are delicious, but again $13 for a cocktail is a bit pricey even for downtown TO. At the end of the night we all walked out and unanimously said we would never go back for dinner. What a disappointment. Stopped on the way home to grab a slice, I was starving.

Great food great drink exceptional service! Tried the chef’s tasting menu tonight and was not disappointed! The Mixologist, Shawna, makes an amazing margarita. Ask for the spicy margarita...it wakes up your palette!

Had such an enjoyable evening here last night, I just have to review and share our experience. First, the atmosphere is very warm, welcoming and friendly. . . from being greeted promptly when you arrive and throughout the entire meal! The food was delicious. We ordered the duck breast, jerk ribs, cavatelli with porcini cream sauce and lamb croquettes. Everything was very tasty and well presented. There were other items on the menu we would like to try, so will definitely be back. Would highly recommend checking them out.

We were there on Dec 28 with our 14 months old daughter. I made reservations online and asked to be seated in the corner as our munchkin has allergies. The staff was very accommodating in this request! About the food: AMAZING! Hubby doesnt like vegies. But! he loved everything we ordered including a parsnip/bacon soup - was to die for! Chicken lollipop and lamb croquettes were very delicious. Portuguese chicken was juicy and well cooked. We will definitely be back!

Cool little place, super nice atmosphere, felt somewhat Europe. Few very nice beers to choose from and the food is pretty good. the dishes don't look huge but are filling. the cheese platter is excellent. will go back. the host was very nice and accommodating.

Excellent share plates restaurant. Don't be afraid to try things like broccoli falafel, it's killer. Duck cooked to perfection. Great mixed drinks and great craft beer selection. Think outside the box, ask your server about the things you would not normally try, you may be surprised in a great way.

Cavatelli was out of this world! Jax was an attentive waitress and we got a complimentary amuse-bouche: curry clam chowder. Divine! Parsnip fries and empanadas, plus sourdough bread with oil and vinegar dip. Definitely returning!

We went on a Monday to celebrate our friend's special occasion. The food and service was satisfactory. The share n eat style was new but really enjoyed it.
