Good subs. Grabbed a grilled chicken sub for takeout. Very good, bun wasn't too dry or too crunchy. Will keep ordering from this place. Note: only takes credit card and cash
Good pho. The pho here is not the best i've ever had, but it is above average. the service is great, its a typical family style restaurant. i would recommend this place to everyone.
Bahn Mi!. The Pho is about average for a Vietnamese restaurant but the Bahn Mi is simply the best. Light and airy and crispy bread...simply amazing stuffing. The Grilled Chicken Bahn mi is my absolutely favourite.
I used to live a 2 minute walk from the restaurant. The Laundramat I frequented was one block away. I used to put in the laundry and pop over and grab a Bahn mi to eat while waiting for my laundry to be done.
My Joint. This is a neighbourhood staple. The food is quite good, very good pho, good service, lovely ladies. On a miserable rainy day, it's a great place to sit down with a bowl of soup, read the paper and relax. It's actually quite cozy. Never had a bad meal here.
I enjoy the pho here all the time. I like their beef stew and also their subs. Soup had a distinctive taste and flavoutful. Spring rolls are a bit on the smaller side and the salad rolls are fresh and crisp.
Great for eating in, but not take out.. Their pho is good and a decent portion at the restaurant, but when ordering it go, they cheap out on the meat. I found this to be the case several times, and my friends have experienced this aswell. However, I eat this restaurant all the time and I am never disappointed. I just no longer order meals to go.
Their subs are amazing.. The Vietnamese subs served here are some of the best I've had. The bread is lightly toasted so it's crispy outside and soft when you dig in. I got the grilled chicken sandwich - the grilled chicken was freshly grilled and went really well with the other veggies in the sub. It's filling and only $3.75 each.
The pho here is meh for me. Wouldn't come back for it. I'd come back for the subs though.
Good food. Friendly, fast service considering there was one wait staff who was also the chef.
I’ve probably driven by Pho Maxima a number of times over the years and never noticed it. Located in New Westminster only a couple of blocks away from the Burnaby border, you can often see the Southbound traffic heading down 20th street block the entrance to the little mini plaza that it’s located in.
After reading such positive reviews on dinehere and urbanspoon, we decided to make our way to New Westminster to check out Pho Maxima.
I always order the House Special. I just enjoy the variety of meats offered. The soup was fragrant and salted just right. It does look a little on the lighter side but the taste is there. One complaint though, one time instead of thinly sliced beef, they gave me thick strips of meat instead which did not cook well, and were extremely chewy. But that was just one time from the few times we’ve went.
This non-flashy restaurant, nestled in a very average-looking commercial building fits the common definition of a hole-in-the-wall eatery. Slightly indented from the street itself, it would be quite easy to miss passing by, unless you were deliberately tu
The beef pho is fantastic. A friend from work recommended me this place and since then I been a regular costumer. Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood.
This is actually my favourite Vietnamese resto: I'm here often eating banh mi or chicken wings. I also love their mango bubble tea with pearls which I normally get for takeout. Prices and service are amazing!
Updated August 2021 review — ordered lemon grass chicken with vermicelli noodle bowl, it comes with a fried spring roll and side salad, as well as fried prawns (rolled into a ball).
My other fave order is their ham and salad veggie which is pictured here and comes with peanut dipping sauce
September 2021: got the house special pho (large) and vegetarian salad rolls. I will stick to the vermicelli bowls — found the broth lacking flavour… and the veggie salad rolls were ok (prefer the ham and shrimp one). Friend ordered seafood soup (large) and was satisfied with the veggie broth
Update October 7, 2021 — tried the beef brisket curry with rice, OMG loved the sauce — had potatoes, onions, beef and it’s so rich! Attached pic of curry dish and appy order of ham and shrimp salad rolls. Also added pics of the entire new menu

This is a hole in a wall restaurant so do not expect fine dining service. If it's a busy time, there may be a wait to get your order in and another wait for the food to arrive. I say "wait" as most Pho places serve your meal almost immediately after the order is placed. That being said, what you are paying (i.e. $8 for a vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken & spring roll) is unheard of. It's the freshest we've had! The complimentary lotus tea is a treat, and the servers do not hesitate to provide a refill. Tasty meals that are on the healthier side with no MSG added. Our go to place for a tasty, cheap meal in New Westminster/South Burnaby. You won't be disappointed!
Finally I found really good pho place in New west! The price and quality was so good! Love their broth :) Thank you for your business
Did a delivery order and the prices are so much better than most of the other Vietnamese options around Edmonds. It wasn’t the best pho or chicken vermicelli we’ve had but the portion sizes for the price are well worth it. We’ll definitely order from here again.
Did a group order for my coworkers lunch, very quick service and cost effective. The beef broth was great! It did seem like only one person worked there, but we love a mom and pop business!
The prices here are very reasonable. They have a lunch special where it can get cheap spring rolls with an order of anything. The place looks like it has been around for some time so they know what they are doing.
