Review Ihop - New Westminster

Staffs were amazingly kind! I usually don’t write a review, but I highly recommend this restaurant bcz food tastes good, portion is huge, and servers were really nice😚😚 The menu I tried to find wasn’t there but he did his best for my beverage and food. I forgot the name his name started with ‘Da’ and he made my day. He deserves high percentage tips. I would definitely go this restaurant again.

The best IHOP we’ve ever been to! Awesome people with excellent focus on customer attendance, giving out of the world experience! Very special mention goes to Natasha whose traits are text book definitions for how to be a perfect hostess! From the moment we were seated till the moment we got out, it was such an awesome journey. Courteous, sincere, fast and intelligent in handling our requests for both sit and dine and takeout. Flawless and perfect to the core! We were surprised at the speed of delivery of food items to our table and we exclaimed telling her how come so fast, pat came the reply from her that it’s breakfast and so it has got to be fast! She also mentioned pay cheque meaning customer satisfaction is directly connected to the pay cheque! How many people understand such a simple but a very important and fundamental fact! She also delivered everything pretty quick without holding back or waiting to be asked, proactively! So, you get everything you ordered for, directly from the oven, piping hot and steaming hot! It was a real pleasure to eat all the items so hot, that included coffee as well! What an asset having such an employee like Natasha in any business! This is our first ever visit to this location and we regretted of the fact that why it took so long for us to come to this gem of a place! Very clean ambiance in a nice looking building with perfect seating layout and ample car parking, though it’s in the very centre of the city! This place has now become our ‘go to IHOP’ for our breakfast! If you haven’t visited this place yet, please do so and you will understand why we are praising so much about this place!

Wow what a busy place. A little bit of a wait. Staff was wearing masks. Everyone else seemed to be as well if they weren't sitting at a table eating. Food was great for the price. I suggest you get the breakfast sampler, 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 pieces of ham, 2 sausages and hashbrowns. It was the same price as a regular pancake but only 1 of the three meat items.

we go here bec the metrotown one has closed down. we usually go to ihop to celebrate bdays and their famous pancakes, waffles and not their hot meals. so when we came here their pancakes are not good anymore. sadly Waffle house has better batter now and tastes better. not sure what changed. also, if you have a promo you have to print it out everytime. even if it's on your mobile or in your email. they still need to do paper trail. too old school here. so sadly we wont be coming back to ihop for pancakes anymore.

First time visit at this location, decent pricing and service. Staff could learn to serve with a smile, but since it had been raining continuous last 2 days can understand the gloominess. Food was good, and very filling. Will definitely be back

The staff are excellent, good coffee. I had the eggs Benedict, it was good, but I've had better. Eggs were done perfectly though. Not a fan of their hash browns. My friend with me had the waffle combo and said it was delicious. You get plenty of food. Very clean and warm establishment.

Went for the first time last week. The service is fantastic, all staff members + waitresses treated us with a high level of care and respect. It is the most friendly and professional IHOP I've ever dined at. Our orders were prepared very well, served quickly and the food tasted great. A big thank you to all the staff for this wonderful experience.

My boyfriend and I go here every Sunday for brunch. We know the servers & Manager, they know us & the Manager even greets us by name when we come in. Sometimes we bring other friends and he remembers them as well. They make you feel welcome and significant. As someone who served in the industry for 18 years, & worked in restaurant management as well, I can say only great things about this IHOP. The manager is our favourite but there are a few staff who are just phenomenal! Obviously the food is great too, that’s how we got to know the staff. But ultimately we go here for the experience. I have been to IHOP so many times and locations before. I have experienced all three meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is my favorite at IHOP. Oct 6 I went to the IHOP with my two sisters for breakfast in New Westminster. The restaurant is located on 8th Ave New West uptown, which is 10 mins away from my Familee. The location is right beside the bus stops, which is very convenience for people to find there.This location is not as big as many others. We arrived the restaurant at 8:30 am. Because of the weekday, the restaurant was not busy. We found a seat quickly and began our orders. Our table server came to our table slow and the last. We ordered two hot chocolates and apple juice to drink. We waited for very long time to get our drinks. After that, we began to order food. The food came slow and unfresh too. The customer serves were horrible here. We had to try our best to reach someone to order food. We tried to ask the server to take a picture of three of us. The lady manager was unfriendly and unhelpful. She didn't even look at how we were sitting in the pictures, just randomly took one picture. In the end, it turned out that only one person of three people in the pictures. It’s so terrible. Also, we were just about to eat our food. The server came to our table and ask us to pay for the bill. We couldn’t finish our food because their taste was not very great. After we ate food, three of us felt not good and we all went to the bathroom. In summary, it was very horrible experiences eating at New West IHOP. I strongly suggest people don't go to this place.

New West has many hidden gems when it comes to great breakfast spots; this is not one of them. Overpriced, poor service, bad food. My recommendation? There are half a dozen better breakfast places within four blocks. Go somewhere else.

After waiting over an hour, we left without having a meal.. We had tickets to the "my Fair Lady" production at the Massey theatre and went to ihop at 6 in order to eat and make the 7:30 performance. At 7 , the waitress asked if we had to be somewhere and when we told her our plans, she said it was unlikely that we would receive the meal on time - that they were severely short staffed. We choose to leave and were unable to go anywhere else to eat because we had run out of time. It would have been better to be told up front that there was an issue so we could have made other plans. Other restaurants will tell you, there is a 1 hour wait etc. Exceptionally poor service. We will never go back.

Terrible service. Went to this location to celebrate my birthday and use my birthday coupon. This would have been my 3rd year receiving and using this coupon. Our servers in previous occassions were excellent and explained how we could use the value of the Rooty Tooty breakfast towards any item on the menu if I didn't want the pancakes. Awesome, I always enjoy being able to get various menu items.<br/><br/>Apparently things have changed. Our server at this location, Alison, was horrible. First of all, I could hardly understand what she was saying because she was speaking so softly. She saw the birthday coupon and asks if we'd like to order pancakes on top of what we have already ordered. Pardon me? We tried to explain that we'd like to use the value of the coupon towards my breakfast. She rumbled on about how things have changed and that the coupon is different this year. Really? The coupon is exactly the same as they've been previous years-- nice try. Then it became that the decision came from corporate. Then it was because of all the abuse from other customers. Wow! No "happy birthday!", nothing! She was very rude about it and was very condescending. The other person I was with tried explaining that in the past, this was never an issue. He asked if she was new there, and she said "I've been here for 5 years, thank you very much!" How does someone with such horrible attitude last 5 years in this industry and not have a name tage? We have been coming to this location for at least 7 years and have never seen Alison working here. Anyway, I changed my breakfast to what she claimed I could only order. <br/><br/>So onto the other persons order. He wanted to try the new criss- croissant product and tried to order it. Alison rambled something about not knowing how it is ordered and said she has to check with a head server. Being that this is a new product they are pushing, she should have been ready and knew the product and how it is sold.<br/><br/>I've never had such terrible service. I will not be coming back to this location due to the horrible service from this server. Happy birthday to me!

Surprise!!!1. 7 of us went hungry, enjoyed the food but was surprise about the amount of coffee. 4 of us ordered and 1 carafe cost us $14.00, I thought that was too much, was I charged wrongly.

For the high price, the food size was small. We went to the IHOP restaurant in New Westminster, BC on Sept 20th. After waiting for 45 minutes, we finally had the food. I ordered 'big steak omelet' (the cost was $16.95). To my surprise, the size was small and I had to pay extra money (about $3.00) for two small pieces of toast. I felt like I was ripped off and do not recommend people go to this restaurant.

I love this restaurant so much. Great service and really good food.

Weekend brunch with wife. IHOP is a homey place, near my house. There is a nice variety of fresh drinks, appetizers, and all day breakfast. Service is a little slow when it gets crowded. The main dishes are quite delicious; only once was it just average. The sausage is a must have with every meal; every meat I've had there was quite good. I take my wife here once in a while to keep her happy on days I am going out with the boys.

We had great service and everything was exactly as we ordered it. The new scrabbles are tasty.

I’ve headed to IHOP in mid-afternoon for ‘blunch’ a couple of times when I’ve forgotten to eat, for one reason or another. They make the best Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich I have ever had – with choice of onion rings, French fries, hashed browns and more.
