Review Bluefin Sushi - New Westminster

Cozy place, friendly staff, reasonable price and good food (taste and presentation). It was a bit slow to take the order and deliver the food but I would still give full mark for being accommodating to my custom order... she was doing it with smile and politeness... thank you!

Wow! Highly impressed. Absolutely delicious and high quality sushi. Not a speck of fishiness in the sashimi. Such a clean finish in the mouth with each bite. Presentation for takeout was excellent. Price for what you get is extremely fair. Portions are large. Perfect rice to fish ratio for sushi and nigiri. Everything was done fresh and well. Tempura was crisp. Salad was refreshing. A pretty perfect takeout dinner. Would highly recommend. The couple working there are also friendly.

I came right when it opened and it was quiet, but as soon as 11:40am hits, everyone from the hospital will be lining up here. It's a nice mom and pop shop that serves a lot of food items. You can get a sushi burrito or their version of poke bowl if you order using the sheet at the counter. Otherwise the main menu won't have it. Nabeyaki udon - big portion. Looked good but the soup was lacking umami. Just tasted like soup soy sauce that you can buy. Tempura - very well fried. Not oily. Not overfried and hard. Very delicate crunch. I took a sashimi salad and chicken katsu don home. Sashimi salad - big pieces and many pieces of salmon and tuna. This is a big plus over other places. Downside is that there is not much noodle so it's not very filling, and not a lot of sauce. Just a couple of drizzles of their house made salad sauce and where is my wasabi mayo ㅠ.ㅠ . I had to add some of my sesame salad sauce at home or else it didn't taste like anything. Chicken katsu don - big pieces of chicken katsu. Also lacking sauce here so the whole thing was quite dry. This place gives you bigger pieces and somtimes bigger portions of things but it doesnt give enough flavor. I think if you try the sushi rolls, it would be good because of the big sashimi pieces but so far, anything that needs a sauce or soup doesn't have much taste. However, I can see others' photos of the poke bowl and special rolls look good and saucy. Maybe I'll try that next time.

One of the best restaurants that my wife and I have ever gone!

I am buying it every month sometimes twice a month. I am vegetarian so I have not tried anything else and avocado sushi is my favorite. This is open for pickup. Sometimes seen few people sitting and eating but most of them trying to pickup in this time of COVID. The road where this sushi point is a very lively road lots of shops restaurants nearby. You can buy liquor just a 200 mtrs away from it and starbucks also the same. Pickup your sushi enjoy the block walk. Have your favorite cup coffee nearby or just pickup your favorite can of 🍺. Have fun. I will try to add photo next time if I would be able to resist my cravings before putting this delicious sushi in my mouth YUMMY

The other reviews were right, the sushi rolls from this place are big bites. They have a good variety on the menu (soba, ramen, wonton soup, sushi, etc) so there is something for everyone. Food arrived fresh with generous portions. Great neighborhood spot.

The service is horrible and I've never had a restaurant mess up my order so many times. The food is good when they get your order right but 6/7 times I've gone there they have messed up multiple aspects of mine and my family orders. I'm allergic to crab and I'm very clear that I do not want/cannot have it in my food but today they added double crab into my burrito.

A fantastic new sushi joint in town! The staff is very polite and positive The food is “A” grade, very fresh, and packed with flavour, and to top it all off the liquor license is in! I’ve been here plenty of times already, if you crave sushi, you can’t go wrong here. The service never falters. 5/5
