Review Union Jack Public House - New Westminster

Went here with some friends for a burger and a couple drinks. The burger was large and everything was delicious. Their fries were very good as well. Our server Jen was great, checked up on us a number of times and kept our drinks filled up. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Overall it was a great experience and we will be coming back soon!

Great atmosphere, friendly service. We went on a Friday night a few weeks ago, there was some live music and a decent crowd. The servers may have had somebody call in sick, but despite appearing under staffed the ladies who were serving did an excellent job tending to everybody. We couldn’t be more impressed. Our food was delicious and filling, and reasonably priced. Even the food from nearby tables smelt fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Really enjoyed our visit here, had a great feel to it and the food and atmosphere were awesome, plus the Yorkshire pudding was on special and you can't beat that, check the photo 😁

So I am sitting here right now and it has been an honest 10 minutes waiting to be served. I am In a very obvious location and there are less than 20 patrons In this establishment with 3 bar maids on. Why oh why? Do I look like somebody that they don't like? Is my skin colour wrong? I've had this happen before at this pub and nowhere else. Idk. It's within walking distance so I consider it my best stroll and drink joint. I really only come here once every 3 months. Why am l just babbling on? Because I have nothing else to do but wait for somebody to serve me a pint of Guiness. It was . . .. oh finally. I got seved. Whewwww. Things seem colder In here than outside on this December evening. Anyhow, I gave this establishment 2 stars just because there are worst business out there that will require a serious hate-om that should be distinguished by the 1 star badge. But really for a bar this is one of my lowest scores. So this pub did mention on a sign on the front door that they were low on staff, but it appears that the patronage has offset that by only filling this joint to about 20% capacity . . . . . Time to drink.

I love going here when the right waitress is working. Our first experience here we had this lovely happy lady greet us and joke with us. She was very welcoming. The food was amazing, its been so hard to find good food in this area but omg we have finally found the place. The only downside is a certain waitress makes us feel like we shouldn't come here. She never looks at us. I usually don't fault a waitress when she's outnumbered but this one just hates us for some reason. At least that's my impression. One day I figured she was too busy looking at the ceiling that I just came up and asked for everything we needed, menu, food, she at least served us drinks early but I was starving. When it came time to pay she was talking to the bartender and I went up again to pay for the meal. She said something to the bartender then passed infront of me without looking at me at all. I didn't know what was happening and the bartender brought me my bill. Seriously why does that waitress hate us? I think we are just going to pop our heads in to see whose serving tables to judge if we should even bother coming in.

Ordered through Door Dash the Yorkshire dinner and beef dip. Both dishes the beef tasted extremely freezer burnt. The taste coming through the gravy and roast beef. This meat must have been sitting in the freezer for a long time. Definitely will not be ordering from here again knowing everything comes from the freezer.

I have been here couple of times. Very good service. The menu is full of options. Once I had tacos and the other time I had their Jambalaya. Both very nice but, I think the Jambalaya was better, and good value for your money. The IPA was good. Prices are reasonable. Central location.

Great natured staff, didn't know they were closing at 10, arrived at 915. Offered food unprompted (kitchen closed at 930) which you know is really nice of them if you ever worked service. Regulars seem to love their staff, I will be back to try more food and their karaoke night. Certainly worth a try if looking for a pub. Service lacks these days and they bring it!

Six of us were there Saturday evening. I like the fact that even after we ordered food and received our food, they leave their menu on our tables. So that after we finish eating we can re-look at the menu to perhaps have something else. Most other restaurants or bars take their menus away as if they don't want anything else ordered. The food came promptly even though it was busy that evening.

I always have a good time and the staff always take very good care of us. Sadly there is no place to hang your coats besides on the bench or on a hook but your feet...?? Great live music and food...:)

Best sevice I've ever had. Never waited to be served or to get a new drink. Never went dry waiting for a drink. Wish I knew the server's name so I could put it there. Good work

Nice cute lounge / pub in New West, very clean and modern. The staff are super friendly and the menu has allot of selections. 1/2 $$ price starters before 6:00

Love that this neighbourhood pub is 2 blocks from home, great food, awesome staff, top notch bands on the weekends Sports on tv , including UFC, great food and drink specials, really a great place to go love it
