Review Naan Bites - New Westminster

Bryanna Charlie
The service was really good, the food was amazing. I would 10/10 recommend and come here again. The naan was perfectly toasted, the butterchicken was perfectly seasoned, more than enough food for us 4 who came to eat. And prices are reasonably good.

This is is formerly Naan Bites, I got curious about the change and wanted to see! I can confidently say the team here have stepped it up with quality of product, and taste. I got the combo with Butter Chicken and the chicken tikka masala, both eere bursting with flavour. The butter chicken you can tell they changed the recipe up a bit as its a tad sweeter now. I've never eaten in, so I can't speak to the experience here. I've always done take-out. Its usually 15-20 minutes while you wait for your order, but its well worth it. Overall great experience, will come again

It was a great experience. I have been here before also, definitely better under the new management. Will come back many more times for the chicken tikka.

Had some confusion over the Door Dash pick up order as the old owners of this restaurant didn't properly hand over all access to the new owner. But the new owner was very kind and honored the order even though the old owner was getting the revenue from Door Dash. This new owner is kind, considerate and and honorable person. The cashier was also very kind and did a great job handling this situation. Food was tremendously delicious and fresh. GOOD JOB GUYS!!

Had a wonderful food here. The chefs are always helpful in suggesting good varieties of food. Came to know that they had a vast experience of around 15 years in various corners of the world and all cuisines. Great value of money and quality at its best. See you soon

Very Good and Good Service. New Owners are good! Good music. He was really sweet to play my favourite song on request.

Pretty disappointed the original owners sold this place. I have been coming here since they opened years ago. Had the butter chicken under the new owner and it was like eating a bowl of sugar. Why is your butter chicken so sweet? I've read your response to all the negative reviews and it's pretty comical. They all say "we're sorry you were disappointed in the quantity of the food but that is the quantity that we serve"...what the heck does that even mean? Anyway, I will not be back. If you're looking for excellent butter chicken, check out Rozzini's about a 2 minute drive away.

DELISHOUS food!!! We get this almost every weekend and it's soo good! Totally recommend this! 🤩😝😋

The food I ordered from here was 2 pieces of samosa, butter chicken wrap and veg biryani bowl. Everything tasted bad. Butter chicken wrap had no salt, utterly tasteless. Samosa was not traditionally made at all, potato filling in spring roll wrapper. Is this what you expect when you say samosa. No not at all. Biryani was another joke no taste whatsoever. Save your hard earned money. Disappointed

Receptionist was very rude, totally agree with the previous reviewer. Butter chicken wrap had not taste at all, very plain, no taste of spice and not wrapped properly, as soon as I opened it, it fell apart. Took so long to make, a person came 10 minutes after I ordered but his was served within 5 minutes which was eat-in , mine was take out and took 25mins after ordering. Again, receptionist had a very rude attitude, no respect for her customers and if I asked about my order, she replies in such an attitude as if I am taking food for free.
Also naan was burnt.

What a FRUSTRATING DAY - Not a happy experience coming to Naan Bites to pick up my "ONLINE" order today Sept. 12, 2018, the customer service person on duty was not friendly at all. When I came at 12:05pm to pick up my order (with a note on my email "pick up at 12:10pm" she didn't acknowledge me, not even ask what was my order to be picked up, nothing she asked, but still i said, "Hi, I ordered online, i have it printed. I waited for 15 long minutes, 12:15 came by I was still standing upfront getting upset. It was not busy when i came in the first place. Until the person from the kitchen asked me what was my order?...I said my order was so simple; regular butter chicken with rice and 2 samosas....what is taking so long for my order? Finally at 12:20 they handed me my butter chicken and samosas. Those items are normally ready made in the kitchen, at least the butter chicken and rice, but the frustrating part is the 15minutes wait, my point is what is the use of ordering online if you still have to wait 15 long mins before you can have your food when you pick it up?? I could have just come there and order personally? I thought it would be faster if you order online especially when you only have half hour break from your work. This is not a good impression for your restaurant as well as your service.

Indian! Tons and tons and tons of flavour. Cumin, turmeric, safron, masala, coriander, chili and you name it. Awesome lamb, curry fish is just melting in your mouth, chicken cooked to perfection. All served on fluffy, full of flavour long grain white rice. Yum yum!

Ambience? Service? What ambience and service? This is a take out place with an option to eat in if you choose so. And if you dont know how to say thank you in hindi just look at the wall art, you may be in for a heart warming surprise.

Awesome Indian serving the purpose.

Meat Thali $10.50 (Served with rice, naan and 2 meat curries of your choice)

Have been to this place quite a few times and ordered delivery/take-out as well, eat-in isn't very glamorous but the food quality and flavors are great, and price is quite low considering what you get!
I always order the Tiffin Thali combo (1 meat curry, 1 veg curry, rice & plain naan), have tried many different curry combinations and loved every one. They also offer a delicious butter chicken naan wrap, which was a good and less messy option for my 8 year old stepson.
Have loved NaanBites for a while now for fast and cheap Indian eats, will definitely be back!

One of my favorite places to eat, I really recommend going here. I have tried every vegetarian curry on the menu (and there are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options). The staff are very nice, the food is hot and delicious. You have to try the naan; I can't eat any other naan bread after trying their naan bread. The mushroom curry is an all time favorite of mine.

Naan Bites is a popular eatery in Queensborough Landing. I actually tried to come here twice but it was so busy on each visit that I wound up going to nearby Pho Express Angkor instead. On my third attempt, I showed up around 11am (which is when they open). The aroma of curry is very noticeable outside the restaurant and had me super hangry. The interior is fairly small and only seats about 26 people. You order up at the counter and then try to find a seat.

The freshly made naan is sooo good! Parts of it was crispy! It's now officially my go to place at this outlet mall.

My wife got the Tiffen Thali and I got the meat Thali. I still kept trying to eat even if I was already full.

The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Really good food. Ordered it as takeout it was super fast and efficient.
The food was not overly spicy so if you are looking for hot food might not be your place. Ordered the buttered chicken wrap with the large side of rice and naan it was a good sized portion of food for two people. The dessert was also delicious.

It was my first time there, it was a clean place to eat with friendly staff and variety of indian tasty foods on the menu. The quality of the food was good but the quantity of butter chicken and beef in my dish was a bit poor, the quality of the rice was very good and well done! I recommend this indian place to eat.
Vancity
Food was okay, Chicken Pokara and Fish Pokara are horrible though! Not what its suppose to taste like. Chicken Tikka masala on the other hand is very good but not enough chicken in it. Overall 3.5

Surprisingly good Indian 'fast foods'. Stumbled across this little gem and it is great! Tasty, quality Indian. Tandoori chicken bites and butter chicken are very nicely done. Wish they were in downtown new westminster......

Bad food poor service.. You hear the sing of the microwave as your food is prepared.... The paneer mukhani is little more than a canned cream of tomato soup with paneer and dried herbs on top for presentation. Never be back again.

Very Tasty but a bit oily.. Naan bites is a fairly priced, tasty restaurant in queensborough landing, next to marble slab ice cream.
I frequent this place but have come to notice that the veggie dishes are a bit oily. Still, this place hits the spot with their wraps, pakoras bites, very flavorful vegetable biryani, and of course the naan.

Definitely a must try if you're craving a quick Indian bite.

Customers not important to them money is. Been eating there for some time. But today I realize that money is important for them the girl was rude place my order it was wrong. She never even offer me to make over my lunch it not about 10 dollars it about making customers happy. I am sure if they continue like this they will have big lost. It location in new westminster.and also I order veg platter to go it look like kids meal. Come on portion was so small. Wake up food is great but the girl was rude....

Great place. We had some awesome food, the chicken biryanni.. Very tasty, filling and well definitely go back again.. Tomorrow again for lunch.. Loved it, it is way better than any fast food joint around..
PrettyFly4aWhiteGuy
This is a great place for a casual bite of Indian food! Have a Tiffin Thali plate to get a good cross section of tastes. This is healthy home style Indian cooking for a decent price. Very casual cafe so don't worry about dressing for dinner. The Pakora bites and the Chicken Biryani are particularly good. Full of flavour.

Totally not worth it. Bought a "large" butter chicken to go, and it was litterally all sauce and 7 small pieces of chicken and thry charged me $10 plus. Will never go back to this place again and would never recommend this place to anyone
Momo Chan
I know its $0.59 diff. But its about the principal. The sign clearly states 2.99 for naan when u order the butter chicken. But when i ordered butter chicken with 2 naan, they charged me $3.58 for it. When i asked the server about. Her reply was that you have to point at the sign to get the price.. The chicken was really dry. The naan burnt. I got only 6 small pieces in the large butter. Apparently the diff between the regular size and the large size is the amount of source. The butter chicken found in food court is definitely better than this crap

Best Indian Restaurant I have ever had. I am not a huge fan of Indian food. I had some ok ones but none that are memorable. That is until I tried Naanbites. Unpretentious food that is packs with flavour and well executed. My favourites are the Naan, Chicken tandoori bites, lamb and beef curry. I have been here over a dozen time and never ever have I ever left unhappy.

Good. Stopped in for lunch on the weekend. Ordered 2 tiffin combos and veggie pakora.
Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and another paneer dish.
All was tasty and portions were good, had to order more naan bread to soak up all the sauce. Thought the food was slightly on the salty side.
Staff was friendly and didn't take too long for the food.
Will repeat again for sure!
Lis
Awesome food!. Stopped in for lunch and had the butter chicken bowl special. We ended up buying extra naan because the sauce was so good and required more bread to soak it up :). The service was very good too, all the staff we encountered were very friendly. So happy that they are close to our apartment and that they deliver in the evening!

The food is awesome!! Just go - you'll love it. The only thing is I've always waited at least 10-15 minutes minimum for my order to come up. I've waited upwards to 35-40 minutes during busy lunches - so choose your time wisely, especially if you're in a rush. I've even called ahead but sometimes it doesn't help when there is a line - you'll have to wait for the line to order/pay before you can get your order to go.
But it's worth it! Hot and ALWAYS fresh!!
Jordan Patrich
Yum. The butter chicken wraps are always solid and the pakora bites are a great deal.

Food is a little slow coming out of the kitchen, especially if you're on a lunch break and have little time.

Definitely the best place to eat in the Queensborough Landing
KC
Awful. I ordered the veg biryani and 4 little samosas. First of all, the samosas were mushy...like mashed potatoes. The flavor itself was fine....the texture was like baby food. Also the samosas were obviously made from frozen pastry layers...like spanikopita. The biryani was like an over-seasoned block of lard. I put the second half in the fridge for lunch the next day....it was a hard lump of grease. This place gives Indian food a bad name. I have made Indian food from scratch many times...with a much better outcome. I think there is no care put into the food.

Fairly tasty. Had the butter chicken, naan and veggie samosa bites. Definitely left overs for tomorrow. The butter chicken is 12$ to include rice and naan which is good but could have more chicken included. The samosa bites come in a nice phyllo pastry. Definitely worth checking out if your in the area shopping or you want something fast but not a typical fast food burger. The fast food type concept is a good one and hopefully they will expand to other locations.

NaanBites...your serious - reeeeeally. Went to Naanbites .....a freind and i decided to have the 2 meat tiffin combos....i picked butter chicken and lamb while my freind picked lamb and fish....we also ordered a side vegetable dish....when the meals came .....my butter chicken only had 2 tiny pieces of chicken in the whole dish (cubes)...i called the servers and they told me that I only get 2 tiny cubes for my butter chicken -i was hoping to get more or that it was a mistake, but again i was told and explained that it only comes with 2 tiny chicken cubes....and we paid 10.49 a dish ....i love Indian food but I will never go back to this place ever..a real disappointment....ripped off!

Just tried it out. Just amazing!!loved it!!
Pork_ninjas
Fanatic tiffin combo with butter chicken, chick peas naan and rice. The naan was particularly spectacular! I don't believe I have had naan anywhere else quite like it! We also ordered tandoori chicken bites which went well with the minty yogurt sauce they put on and also ordered a potato and veggie mixer bites deepfried and dipped into spicy sugary dark mixture :) great prices for food:)

Ouch!!. Went once last month in August en route to fraser river. we usually pack a lunch but decided to try out this place. The food is sooooo spicy hot and greasy we had difficulty digesting it and hubby has pretty strong stomach. Was disappointed. Too bad. The lady who served us was absolutely wonderful.

Joint was excellent. Tasty butter chicken an lamb rogan josh. Get the tiffin combo for $7.99. If you don' t like it, then you' re probably dead!

Decent. Tried for the first time today. Had a paneer dish in a tomato-ish sauce. It was decent, but a little canned soupy tasting. The naan, however, was fresh, chewy, hot and delicious. I saw them making it fresh in the back, stretching out bits of dough before cooking them. Nice establishment for quick eats.

First Class Taste, Cafeteria Style Service, Fabulous!. I was really excited to try Naanbites and they lived up to their reputation!!!

The place is clean, modern, spacious and pleasant. Parking is easy as it is in a giant open mall.

You order and pay ahead via the counter like food court or fast food places. All kinds of East Indian favourites are featured on the menu. The waitress will bring the food to you on a tray, you get your own water like a cafeteria.

And now, the food, really the best in town! Samosa Garden, an award winning restaurant, used to be my favourite until I moved further away and their reputation dropped like a stone. After much search, finally I found Naanbites, where the food is just as good at a very reasonable price range. I'm in spices heaven!

Before I entered Naanbites, I could smell the fragrant spices, a good sign. So I tried the Tandoori Chicken bites, Veggie Samosas, ordered a combo with Butter Chicken & Beef Madras, another with Lamb Rogan Josh & Palak Paneer (vegetarian), Chicken Biryani, 1 Chai and 1 Mango Lassi. The combo came with white basmati rice and naan. Everything is under $10 and if you go to a service restaurant can easily double in price. It's that good.

The food came fast, fresh, hot and smelling awesome. The Tandoori Chicken was roasted perfectly, with a bit of charcoaled crunchies on the outside, delicious!!! The Butter Chicken was smooth, tasty perfection. The Beef Madras was rich with intense flavor and just enough spices to make it heavenly without overdoing it. The Lamb Rogan Josh was tender, no grizzle, perfectly spiced. The Palak Paneer was creamy, tasty, yummy.

The Samosas were tasty, they use phyllo pastry vs. the thick dough some place use, which is great. I think they baked the samosas as it is not oily nor crunchy. I would prefer the fried but it is healthier this way. The white basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan is a lighter version, good just different. Chicken Biryani was tasty but not as fragrant and good as Samosa Garden, yet better than most other Indian restaurants. The Chai could be more fragrant and the Mango Lassi was out of this world good.

All the dishes I tried were mild to medium spicy, nothing a mango lassi can't fix. Overall, I will give it an A. I will give most dishes an A+, Samosas B+, Biryani B+, Plain Naan B. An A+ even for the mango lassi :) REALLY LOVE IT. WILL BE BACK!

***
Went back again and tried the Mango Lemonade, just as good, esp if you prefer a lighter version than Mango Lassi.

Tried the Fish Curry, nice sauce but didn't like the cod too much (frozen no doubt). The Lamb Kebab Bites are good, lots of spices and salty, better with naan than by itself, it's like a lamb sausage. Chicken Tikka Masala is the more hot of the bunch, so if you like heat, you'll like it. Curry Chicken has nice spices also and very pleasant. Tried mint naan, garlic nann and plain nann - like them all. Roti is ok, like wheat pita bread. Garden salad is homemade, not from a bag (no chemical smell), very nice.

My favorites are still tandoori chicken bites, butter chicken, beef madras, lamb rogan josh, palak paneer, naan and both mango drinks.

Will be back again!
Nom Nom Nom
Delicioso!. I had the tiffin combo and boy was it tasty! Some of the best Indian food that I've had in the area. The beef madras is amazing! The naan is excellent too. I will definitely be back for more.

Really hard to find...google maps navigated to the entrance of the huge shopping mall. Ended up going to Boston pizza instead because I couldn't find it and the phone

Very Good. Tried them when they first opened, didn't know about the Tiffan combo, so we ended up with a bowl (don't remember which kind). It was ok. recently I went again and the Tiffan Combo was recommended. It was delicious, and a great deal! The food is fresh, and the service is friendly (especially if you've come a couple times and they recognize you, similar to all establishments.) I find the food quality better than Saffron, and at way better prices.

Good job Naan bites.
Jcgirl
Oh my god! This place is awesome. I just finished a tiffin combo with chicken tikka masala. My mouth wants more but my stomach demands that I stop. What great food and great prices.

Naan Bites. Delicious ... I've been here many times and have taken my friends and family. The food is fresh and worth a small wait. Best Naan bread I've every had and a variety of flavours .
Amanda
Friendly staff, big portions, cheap prices and ofcourse delicious food! Was absolutely deelish!!
Laura
Food was fine, but the service is incredibly slow!! Don't stop here if you are in any kind of hurry.

Good value, great service. We decided to stop in at this small, local eatery for some Indian food. It is located in the Queensborough Landing property (stores, restaurants, services). The owners told us that they opened about 6 months ago. They appear to be well situated for both take out and eat in options. I remember seeing about a dozen tables, reasonable furnishings and basic decor. A pleasant, simple environment.

They kindly pointed out that their combinations ('tiffin combo bites') are a good value for take out. That is what we ordered. You get two selections, rice, and naan. We took our order to the river side and sat at the picnic table.

The food was very good. Texture was good, spices seemed about right, rice was cooked perfectly. We also got the mango/milk (?) Indian drink (I forget the name). Total cost... under $18 + change.

We recommend the restaurant and will be back to visit them again.

Fantastic!. My coworkers and I stopped for lunch recently and were delighted. We each had different dishes and shared including the Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan, Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef & Chicken Samosa bites. What can I say, we all were very impressed with this little family operation - the flavors were truly authentic. The service is great, efficent and very personal. I would go back everyday if it wasn't a tad far from the office but I do make my husband go pick up for dinner on his way home. This is a gem.

During the Boxing Week, I decided to go check out the Queensborough Landing in New Westminster. The parking lot was packed, and I was quite surprised to see so many outlets. After spending hours shopping, we were hungry, so we went to try out Naan Bites. I had the Curry Rice Bowl (with Butter Chicken) $7.99 I was shocked at the difference that I and Sheepie’s order had. He had only paid a dollar more and he had a complete full meal. I wished that I had ordered his instead, though I am not complaining about the taste of my curry, it was pretty good, but not worth $8 for the bowl! Curry Rice Bowl (with Butter Chicken) $7.99 This is such a better deal! $8.99 Sheepie had the Tiffin Thali (with one meat; Chicken and one veggie; Paneer Makhani curry) $8.99 along with a Pop $1.19 The curry was very tasty and a better deal than mine. The place is fairly clean, and service is ok.

Dinner at Queensborough! Marv has been eyeing this place for awhile now, so since traffic was pretty bad, we decided to have dinner at Naan Bites before heading home for the day. We arrived before 6 and the place was empty…however as we were busy trying to decide what to eat, the place got quite busy! Naan Bites 805 Boyd St, New Westminster BC Tel#: (604) 527-9997 Upon entering the place, you can smell the indian spices in the air. It got us really hungry, really fast! The guy behind the counter was friendly and created a chill environment. Must be because he's pretty laid back and emotes this 'comfortable' feeling. We decided to get a bunch of items since we couldn't really decide what to get. Above right is their Tikka Masala Rice Bowl. There was a lot of peppers in this bowl, but they are very generous on their curry. After a few bites, it does get pretty spicy.. but I couldn't stop eating it as it was pretty tasty! If

Based on the name alone, I thought it might be some kind of place just making some creative/fusion bite sized snacks featuring naan bread. Alas, I was wrong.
