First Class Taste, Cafeteria Style Service, Fabulous!. I was really excited to try Naanbites and they lived up to their reputation!!!
The place is clean, modern, spacious and pleasant. Parking is easy as it is in a giant open mall.
You order and pay ahead via the counter like food court or fast food places. All kinds of East Indian favourites are featured on the menu. The waitress will bring the food to you on a tray, you get your own water like a cafeteria.
And now, the food, really the best in town! Samosa Garden, an award winning restaurant, used to be my favourite until I moved further away and their reputation dropped like a stone. After much search, finally I found Naanbites, where the food is just as good at a very reasonable price range. I'm in spices heaven!
Before I entered Naanbites, I could smell the fragrant spices, a good sign. So I tried the Tandoori Chicken bites, Veggie Samosas, ordered a combo with Butter Chicken & Beef Madras, another with Lamb Rogan Josh & Palak Paneer (vegetarian), Chicken Biryani, 1 Chai and 1 Mango Lassi. The combo came with white basmati rice and naan. Everything is under $10 and if you go to a service restaurant can easily double in price. It's that good.
The food came fast, fresh, hot and smelling awesome. The Tandoori Chicken was roasted perfectly, with a bit of charcoaled crunchies on the outside, delicious!!! The Butter Chicken was smooth, tasty perfection. The Beef Madras was rich with intense flavor and just enough spices to make it heavenly without overdoing it. The Lamb Rogan Josh was tender, no grizzle, perfectly spiced. The Palak Paneer was creamy, tasty, yummy.
The Samosas were tasty, they use phyllo pastry vs. the thick dough some place use, which is great. I think they baked the samosas as it is not oily nor crunchy. I would prefer the fried but it is healthier this way. The white basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan is a lighter version, good just different. Chicken Biryani was tasty but not as fragrant and good as Samosa Garden, yet better than most other Indian restaurants. The Chai could be more fragrant and the Mango Lassi was out of this world good.
All the dishes I tried were mild to medium spicy, nothing a mango lassi can't fix. Overall, I will give it an A. I will give most dishes an A+, Samosas B+, Biryani B+, Plain Naan B. An A+ even for the mango lassi :) REALLY LOVE IT. WILL BE BACK!

Went back again and tried the Mango Lemonade, just as good, esp if you prefer a lighter version than Mango Lassi.
Tried the Fish Curry, nice sauce but didn't like the cod too much (frozen no doubt). The Lamb Kebab Bites are good, lots of spices and salty, better with naan than by itself, it's like a lamb sausage. Chicken Tikka Masala is the more hot of the bunch, so if you like heat, you'll like it. Curry Chicken has nice spices also and very pleasant. Tried mint naan, garlic nann and plain nann - like them all. Roti is ok, like wheat pita bread. Garden salad is homemade, not from a bag (no chemical smell), very nice.
My favorites are still tandoori chicken bites, butter chicken, beef madras, lamb rogan josh, palak paneer, naan and both mango drinks.
Will be back again!
