Review Pizza Garden - New Westminster

JeongSoo Doo
Decent neopolitan pizza. I recommend getting a large as the crust is very thin and it's easy to eat a whole pizza in one sitting if you are hungry. Large pizza was around $25, and drinks were $2 per can. They have a lot of vegeterian options as well. The dine in area is kind of smelly though so I wish they would clean the tables a bit better.

If you like Italian style thin crust pizza which is totally hand made and cooked in stone owen, this is the right place to satisfy your stomach. Various options for slice selling on shelf. Delicious. Beer as well.

This is the second time I take pizza slices from them and it’s Burn from the bottom and taste like charcoal with a bitter burn. They need to Clean the oven before they put the pizza. Waste of time and money.

It was our favorite pizza by slice place for years and years. Recently they moved and serve beer, which is a great option. However, the pizza quality has declined, unfortunately. In my original review I gave 5 stars, now downgrading it to 3 stars. Slices are so uneven, sometimes the size of two neighbor slices can vary by 50%. Also, the crust side (the one not covered with cheese) is getting bigger and bigger and can reach an inch or two.

Freshslice should take lessons from Pizza Garden on how to make a solid and flavourful pepperoni pizza. I'm fairly particular about pizza places. If they can't get the basics right, there's no way they could get the specials right. Pizza Garden has been great all the way through. Their crust is flavourful on it's own and while it is thin, the crust still offers enough to sink your teeth into. The base sauces are subtle but offer great support to the toppings. All the toppings deliver the exact experience your taste buds are looking for. Quality and flavour. Highly recommended. These folks know how yo play yhe pizza game.

My wife and I used to order from this place regulary, but not anymore. I would say this pizza is not suited for delivery, because everytime we order it comes cold and I am not talking about warm pizza but stone cold. Also their wings? Absolutely disgusting. If you order salt and pepper do not expect any flavour whatsoever. You will get just plain baked chicken wings. Also do not try to call them either, they will just laugh at you. I do not know who is a franchise owner, but this location need change Update: I think nothing have changed. This time I took the picture of $20 lasagna. You tell me if your $20 lasagna should look like this. I mean there’s missing quarter of it

First visit after movie picked up dinner from here. 4 slices of veggie pizza. They were good. Would want to try their fresh made veggie pizza next time. They looked more delicious.

Came in to grab sliced pizza. Very clean and well organized location. They follow all the Covid restrictions. Have a nice seating area to sit and enjoy good food. Pizza tasted fresh and I must say the crust was very good. Prices are decent since the slices are very big, larger than other places. Veggie pizza tasted really great and the cheese pizza was perfect as well. Staff are very friendly!!

When this pizza is good, is really really good. Unfortunately, delivery is really inconsistent. Despite ordering my pizza well done is regularly arrives extremely undercooked. I have received a pizza with visible holes in the middle of the crust, as well as a pizza that was mishandled so it arrived with slices that were folded on top of themselves.

The best pizza I've had in a long long time, 4 out of 5 because their presentation could be better, even so I ate a record 3 pieces and was thinking about a 4th Thanx rob Matharu

Pizza garden is by far the best tasting pizza I've had in a long time! I used to switch between the big names like Pizza Hut and panago. I will never go back after trying Pizza Garden. ❤️

The problem with their menu is that "there are too many good things to choose from." I just love their pizza and won't eat cardboard tasting pizzas like Dominos anymore.

Just have a drink, two drinks, three drinks. Then a pizza.

We had a very unfortunate thing happen to us today after ordering from the UBC location. Our large marguerita pizza came as if it had been rolling around in the backseat and only 2 slices were not folded over themselves. I called and talked to someone that supposedly was the manager and he sent us a replacement pizza. My problem was not with the manager at all, he was very understanding and quick to offer a replacement, my problem was with the delivery man, that doubted my husband even though we showed him a picture of the pizza and the pizza itself and told us “well, you ate it” when in reality, yes, my 2yo ate the two slices that were intact. His atitute was not what we expected and the first time we had problem with pizza garden. Sorry for the long review but I had to let management know about this incident. And yes, we have the picture of the mangled pizza.

Visited this place because I was really hungry and was tired of FreshSlice and did not regret. Fresh, soft as well as crunchy dough, amazing pizza sauce and fantastic toppings. Was spoilt for choice as well. Prompt and courteous service. This place is definitely my 'go to' pizza place.

I found this place and started with the basics. I LOVE this pizza; fresh, great crust and great variety. Glad there are many around town! Definitely recommend

This is one of the best fast food pizzas in all Vancouver. Their slices are great but getting a whole pizza from their menu is the way to go. They have so many good ones, including great vegetarian options.

The holidays are here, and just my luck I'm sick. There was no way I could hold on all day. I decided to buy our group pizzas for lunch, then going home. We were suppose to celebrate a birthday. Everyone seemed to enjoy every slice and there was no complaints. Service is fast and friendly and I've always had good experiences with pizza garden locations... Knock on wood of course
We used to order from here all the time. We thought we finally found our place. Until we moved across the bridge. We asked do you deliver here, " yes " so we order and 90 mins past we called to wonder about our food. The guy says its on the way and apolgizes. 45 mins later still no pizza. Btw it takes me 12 mins to get across the queens bridge for work in rush hour. So now my husband calls, the guy says oh sorry we forgot your order ( while he's laughing ) husband says we don't want it don't send it. But almost an hout layer f ing delivery guy rings the bell. Never again almost 5 hours for a double pepperoni and a capricosa. This was just the beginning.

The pepperoni pizza was ok, a bit spicy, but the marguerita was crap. No tomato slices!! What type of margarita pizza is that. The crust is medium not thin and when u eat it the side crust where there is no filling it's like cardboard. The service was friendly and helpful.

One of the better places. Love the 17$ XXL box. Taxes always included in price. Pizza has always been fresh when I go unlike other by the slice places in the area

Stopped in here for a quick slice of pizza tonight. There were 6 full fresh out of the oven pizzas in the display case. Looked great. I decided on a chicken pizza. The lady pulls out an old slice sitting on a separate plate just out of view. No fresh slice for me. Asks if I want it heated up and I say yes. After 30 sec. She hands me the slice and I leave. It's stone cold. Cheese has no movement. Chicken cold. Tastes horrendous and I'm not a picky pizza person. Honestly it was as if it had been sitting out all day. I put it aside and walk home.
I get home and decide to try one more bite. My tooth hits something rock hard. I look down and there's a chicken bone in my pizza. I kid you not, a good 2 inch long bone!!

Go anywhere else, go to fresh slice upstairs, but don't waste you time here. Cold old pizza with chicken bones.......pathetic.

After helping our friend's move, they fed us with pizza from Pizza Garden. The pizza is baked in a stone oven and cones out super crispy. I really enjoy the thin crust. I tried the mushroom pizza and it was topped with a variety of mushrooms. The pepperoni also had a good amount of pepperoni per slice.

Love this place! We have ordered delivery from here and just dropped in on our way through the New West station many times. Though the crust isn't always perfect, the pizza options are awesome and they always taste fresh and never overly greasy like other chain pizza places.
I think the price is pretty standard and good value for money for quality pizza.

For drop-in and go, the BBQ chicken is one of my favourites and they have some great veggie options. I'm not a fan of pork, but I've had friends super impressed by the pepperoni and ham pizzas. My very favourite, though, is available when you order a whole pizza and that's the Pizza Funghi. Oh, the mushroom bliss! If you like mushrooms, this is a must have. I also really like the Bianco - it's so fresh and delicious.
While I like the crust, I do find that sometimes it's pretty tough and hard to get through. Doesn't ruin the pizza for me, but keeps it from a 5/5 review. It will still be our go to place for pizza locally.

I ordered a X-large veggie pizza to go and asked the person on the phone to leave a quarter of the pizza without cheese cause my kids are allergic to dairy. The staff(Sam) told me it's not gonna be exactly a quarter because cheese melt. I totally understand because I worked at a pizza joint myself before. I said as long as there are some slices that's without cheese then I'm totally fine, it doesn't have to be exactly a quarter of the pizza.

When my hubby picked up the pizza and brought it home, the whole pizza has cheese on top! I called them immediately. The staff (Sam) told me they didn't make any mistake. He told the person who made the pizza to leave a quarter without cheese and he did. I asked him then how come my whole pizza has cheese!? He said as he mentioned on the phone, he can't promised it's a quarter without cheese?! Are you kidding me? I told him, if today I received a pizza with 20%, 15% or even 10% without cheese then I wouldn't make this phone call. But I called because a received a pizza with 100% cheese on the whole pizza! how can you said you didn't make any mistake!!!? He then said then probably I don' know what cheese looks like on the pizza!? Ridiculous! I request to speak to a manager to have this issue resolved immediately. He said there's nothing he can do and he's the person in charge for the time I called. Then he disconnected the phone!

Unbelievable!!!!! I would never ordered a pizza from them again. They ruined my dinner and my kids was left without dinner to eat!

I have gotten take out a few times from here and it is probably the best I have gotten. I love Neopolitan 700 degree oven style and this comes pretty close. Reheats in the oven really well. Highly recommend this.

Absolutely the best pizza place in Vancouver for the value! 5/5 for taste, and by far the best beef and bleu cheese slices in town! Don't hesitate to get a slice...I'm drooling just thinking about it, but I live too far to go there right now. This is in my top 5 places to eat!

There are a TON of pizza places out there but what sets this place apart is their unique high quality ingredients and their stone oven. This place has one of the best vegetarian pizzas. They are also very reasonably priced slices. Definitely a must try for the pizza lovers.

Good alternative to the other pizza chains. My son begs us to order pizza almost every night of the week and we usually cave in on the weekend, its nice to finally have a pizza place that is different from all the big box American style pizza. The menu is quite small which actually makes it easier to agree on what to order and the on line ordering is so easy to use, I don't have to create an account or negotiate any annoying pop up boxes trying to up sell me on cinnamon bread or chicken bits.

The best pizza in New West!. I love this place! Their pizza is just as good as the pizza in Naples - thin crust, gooey cheese, generous and awesome toppings. I end up eating here at least once a week. Friendly staff and the prices are reasonable.

The pizza is good, the service sucks, the owner is an idiot and they should have counter help that understands English.

Delish. Enjoyed thoroughly! I had a veggie with artichokes, roasted peppers, capers and olives, and a meaty mushroom affair that was zesty, salty delicious. Crust was lovely, chewy and crispy. Very good pizza but expensive. This will be my special occasion pizza from now on.

Good pizza and friendly staff. Ambiance is not that great. It's noisy with the sky train going by and it cold inside during the cooler season, BUT their pizza are yummy! I usually get a pizza take out and for under $20, it can't be beat. The crust is thin and the balance of topping is perfect. There's alway leftover...cold pizza for breakfast is the best! The staff are friendly, too. Will be my new local place for pizza in New Westminster.

Had it for the first time a few weeks ago and was very pleased. Tried the large Margahrita and it was huge, and plenty tasty. Prices are a bit high, way better off ordering an entire pizza as opposed to the slices. This place is a must try.

Too good to be in a public transportion station. I'm a sucker for any two-slices-and-a-soda joint that I've never tried before, so when I hopped off the monorail at New West, I just HAD to sample the 'za @ Pizza Garden. They tout their Neapolitan cred, which means "crust" to me. That was the part I liked least about this pizza, which was good overall. The thin crust was leathery and hard to chew, though. I liked the sauce -- just a schmeer of it, but lots of Italian herb flavours with a vinegary finish. It perked up the taste of the cheese, which is on the sparse side. The best thing was the spiciness of the pepperoni and the generous helping of bacon on my meat-lover's slice. At $5.25 for two + soda, I'd take Pizza Garden over Uncle Fatih's -- especially because the Garden puts your slices in the oven after you pick, so they come out hot. (Which might explain the tough crust, too.)

I really like this place, it's a good deal when you buy the box and its gotten better since it opened. Overall, a good go to place when you want something quick and tasty.

Wish I Knew. Tried to order from Pizza Garden last night. After an hour with no delivery, I called and asked politely, how much longer our pizza would be, and I was told that it would be another 30 minutes. Clearly, it had not even been started yet. Wednesday night can;t be that busy in New West, so I'm not sure what the issue was. I just told her not to bother.

There's too many other pizza places to order from, rather than waste my time with these people.

I won't bother trying them again.

Nice to have something close to Neopolitan Pizza in New West. I've been in a few times for pizza by the slice and these slices are a cut above most. Except for Flying Wedge but that's a different thing altogether. Love the esthetics of the gas fired ovens and the pizza I have had has been good, 7/10. It's better if you ask them to leave it in the oven a little longer when they're warming it up. I think the owners are just hitting their stride and the the price can't be beat, 2 slice with drink for less than $6.

Very disappointed with the service I received. Food looks good & location is convenient but I won't go back

Anticipating better. We will be giving this new joint another go, although first time around, I was not impressed with the pizza. The crust was undercooked in the center and seemed rather chewy and too tough on the teeth around the outside. They were skimpy on the spinach, I thought. The service was polite and hospitable and they have some interesting sauces here, so hoping it might be opening jitters ....definitely will come back real soon to sample the food again. We are fans of thin crust pizza. Also note- they do not seem to have A/C here, so better take it to go this time of summer!
