Great food. The green curry was to die for and so was the chicken sate. Pad Thai was ok. Gigantic portions, a lot more than you usually get in a Thai restaurant. And you don't have to search for the meat, there is plenty. Service was very friendly and extremely attentive to the child who was accompanying us. It was not very busy but I really wonder why. Will definitely keep this address in my books! Enjoy!
Lunch specials are good value, $9.96. Green curry was a good portion and had great flavors. Served with salad and wontons. Dinner seems a little pricey just from what i saw.
Love it - will order again. Had the Thai Cashew Nut Sauce Bento Box (with optional coconut rice upgrade) & my partner had the Green Curry Bento Box - both amazing! So glad to have tried this Thai place, it defiantly scratches the itch for Thai in the area plus the deliver! Got here when they said and it was perfect & hot.
The coconut rice was a good idea for my dish as medium was the perfect amount of spice and the coconut really complemented it. Wouldn't have been a good decision with any of the Curries as that has a coconut base anyway.
So glad this place is in my 'hood. I don't know how this place slipped under my radar for so long.
went for the first time tonight and was impressed. super prompt service. the food was so flavourful, and the decor very well put together. looking forward to ticking a few more things off their menu in the near future. my only critique is that the lettuce wraps were a little lacking in portion size. but delicious just the same.
Delicious and great service. Read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. From the moment, we walked in, I knew we would like this place. Great decor and staff were very friendly and very friendly. We ordered pad thai, panyang curry, pineapple fried rice and chicken and cashew. It was all delicious. We had leftovers and I brought to work for lunch and the panyang curry tasted even better today. Definitely will be going again, when I'm craving my Thai food.

I never could aquire the taste of Thai food until I came here! Not only was I fascinated by the delicious food, but also with their welcoming and charming service. I have never felt more comfortable at a restaraunt! They get 5/5 stars from me!
Just north of 4th ave on 6th street in new Westminster this is a little gem worth searching for. It opened up right next door to my accpuncture clinic so its now a weekly lunch date for me. Good food and awesome staff! Owned and operated by real Thai people who embody the spirit of Thailand!

Almost but not so much. I love spicey food, and I love Thai food.
You can bet I was super stoked when Thai Box 2 go opened.
I went the first time with a girlfriend last sunday. I ordered a (labeled spicey) salmon in red curry dish with a side of rice.
The first bite, heaven! oh so good! The sauce was tasty, the salmon a bit overdone, but not terrible.
The second bite was good, but, I noticed very sweet, and not very spicey..
While the food WAS good, I did expect a nice burn to it, as Thai food is spicey, and when it says HOT on the menu, I do expect a nice tingly burn.
I ate most of it, but the sweeteness with no spice was too much for me and i gave up halfway through.
Not a worry, I thought it was my own fault for not ordering my favorite, green curry, which is always spicey.
I went in this tuesday, june 18 2013, with my son.
I warned him the food was not very spicey, so if he ordered to ask for it warmer.
I ordered green curry.
My son ordered pad thai, normally a bland dish, and spicey.
well..
my green curry was sweet and at the most, mild. I could not detect any heat from spice.
My son's, on the other hand was the HOTTEST dish I have ever tried. EVER.
it got worse, though.
We thought we should mention this to the server, as the person taking our order seemed new. She (after consulting the kitchen and our original server) said no no, the dish, at the MOST was medium.
MEDIUM?
i don't think so.
I could not eat more than one forkful, my son could not get halfway through it, and that was MEDIUM?
after that she offered to make us a dish to go, stressed how we should order in the future, since we could 'not handle the spice' and further explained everything EVERYthing was now made mild due to complaints.
1. why say spicey on the menu if it all comes out mild?
2 IF it all comes out mild, saying spicey should give us medium not super freaking hot..
The table behind us had the same problem.

you CANNOT go from super bland (and i have NEVER had such a mild green curry in my life) to so hot we can barely eat it. be fair.

just dont' punish us all cus of a few mix ups. it happens, you are new, thai food IS spicey, but some of us like that.

Resturant patios seem so hard to find in New West, I'm happy to have found this one. Service was fantastic. One of our food orders was cold so they comped it. :) I will be back.
Finally a Thai food restaurant that is affordable. Quality quantity and attentive service. Server was friendly and accommodating with our almost 2 year girl. Overall we left happy, full, and with a doggy bag, 3 things to look for in a great restaurant
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Fabulous spot - they've done a great job with the space. I grabbed lunch to go for myself and a co-worker and it was FAB.

Finally got a chance to try this place today. I was there around 5, not very busy. Very nice inside, has a real Thai feel, quite nicely decorated. If there's candles lit at night I imagine it would be a warm, intimate atmosphere... Very attentive, friendly staff, offered me tea and to change the channel on the TV (which was just showing pretty pictures) while I waited. I ordered out, trying the Pad Thai Goong and Pra Ram Lhong Song (chicken in peanut sauce over broccoli, usually it's over spinach) and spring rolls. The Pad Thai was delicious! It had lots of flavour and the wonderful tartness of the tamarind was definitely there, with the subtle spiciness of the green onion and the crunch of the peanuts and bean sprouts... Divine! Matched the quality of Lhy Thai but there was more of it. They did not skimp on prawns. The peanut dish was lovely strips of white meat, perfectly cooked, over tender-crisp broccoli. Not a speck of gristle in sight. There was just enough sauce to have a little in the bottom of the tray which was absorbed by the yummy rice. The spring rolls were crisp and full of vermicelli rice noodles with some veggies. I would prefer more veggies and less noodles, but the flavour was very good, they are fried so there's always a bit of grease, of course, but nothing excessive like the other reviewer described.
My only feedback is styrofoam containers for take-out, my personal pet peeve. I will happily take my own container next time, and there will be a next time. Definitely give this little gem a try!

I gotta say The Pad Thai and the Chicken Basil are damn good!! I love the food so much. Staffs are so friendly. Their foods are real authentic Thai and I am aware of that because I have been to Thailand and live there.
The design and decoration inside the restaurant is one of the best in Canada that i have ever Seen

My new favourite Thai.. Been to Thailand twice. The food there is incredible, however this new restaurant is beyond words.
I took my mother and my cousin on opening day. My 72 year old mother had Thai food for the first time. She ordered the prawn with vegetables in a black bean sauce. She was nervous at first but after a the first taste she was hooked and said it was wonderful. Kudos to the chefs because she is a critical customer. My cousin ordered chicken in a peanut sauce, surrounded by freshly steamed broccoli. Another homerun there. I had the yellow curry with chicken as my entre (not too spicy, creamy sauce ... delicious again. We also ordered veggie spring rolls. There were only four so we had to do rock-paper-scissors for the last one. My cousin won out. .. so I ordered another round of four for dessert for myself.
Been back many times already. I wish it were closer and I would go daily for their specials. Very reasonably priced. I saw a lot of take out so I assume they are doing well. The service is prompt and the servers seem genuinely concerned that I am / we are enjoying our food and the experience. Everyone I have gone with or taken for the first time has loved the food. Not too spicy, unless you ask for it that way.
Smells wonderful from the street and even better inside.
Love the entrance area with the beautiful colours. The cat (ceramic?) with the waving arm in the alcove is funny. I'd like one of those for my home. Also loved the decor with the Bhudda reliefs on the wall.
This place is a jewel. Best Thaifood I have ever had.
I am a severe critic and don't usually write reviews but this one Thai Box 2Go (2 Go?) is my new favourite.

Good Real Thai. I've been to Thailand, I love Thai food and this is the real deal. It's the 2nd best Thai food I've had in the lower mainland and prices are excellent. The food is fresh, they will actually make things properly spicy if you ask and they have a good menu.
I only wish they had Pad Gra Pow...
Thai Box 2 Go (new westminster 4th ave and 6th street. I have traveled to thailand on sevral trips. I have been to most Thai restaurants in the lower mainland. This venue offers the
highets quality Thai food, with generous portions at a very reasonable price.
I think if you go there once.... you will return. It is the best I have found.

Quick service, super friendly staff and decent serving sizes for very reasonable prices.
Only concern is that they advertise as being vegan friendly but we have had to return food and explain to staff that eggs are not vegan. So if you have dietary restrictions you will want to be extra diligent.
Wow! I've been looking for a really good Thai restaurant for months, and this place is it! Food came out quick, hot, fresh, and impossibly delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the place was clean. It wasn't too busy for a Friday evening, but it definitely wasn't empty either. Will absolutely be back.
Tip: Mango. Sticky. Rice.
Great lunch deal for $10. Pad Thai not what I expected but good. Red curry chicken was fantastic. Moms dining room decor, clean, Cozy, quiet. Good location. HOT, fresh, tasty. Super cute fried wontons too.

Thai food is my favorite food . I love this place ! I have been to 3 Thai places in Burnaby this one blows all 3 out of the water . Super authentic tasting . I have treated myself twice for lunch here this week . 10.00 lunch special????? Fantastic price for portion you get. Service is friendly and prompt and even the chef Max is very friendly will come out and say Hi to see how the food was . Keep up the good work guys . You are my go to place and i will inform others when asked if I know a good Thai place . I'll be back to try the Massamam Curry ! That one is my fave . Give them a try !
