I think I have tried everything on the menu here, and it is all so flavourful and absolutely delicious! The chocolate babka is my favourite sweet bread/pastry. The sour dough breads have a wonderful crusty crusts and soft, flavourful middles. One of my favourite non-sweet things are the dilly potato-stuffed pirushkies- get it warmed up and you will be in carb-on-carb heaven! I purchased a full Easter package once, including borscht, holobtsi, perogies, and special Easter paska bread and was so impressed with the quality and economy of the deal. Highly recommended, a must-stop to try and keep going back for more!!!

Awesome little business run by a very enthusiastic and friendly family/staff. Excellent authentic food that is very healthy and well made - all natural ingredients. As a bonus, there're great vegan and vegetarian options.

We happened to be parked across the street and decided to check it out for lunch. We had the lunch combo and some baking. Amazing. This is the type of place we try to find when traveling. It's nice to find a local and unique place and not a chain restaurant. Super helpful staff.

Bread & pastries are excellent! I’m surprised there isn’t a line out the door when I visit.

I love this little treasure of a place ! The most delicious home made borscht ever, wonderful home made sunflower rye bread and oh those cinnamon twists babkas! The staff and the service is fabulous, everything is freshly made on site from perogies, to cabbage rolls to the pastries. It's a little piece of Ukrainian heaven right here in New Westminster !

Delicious borscht and we are gobbling up the rye loaf I brought home! Also a lovely well lit spot to sit and eat.

Just stopped in to grab some cabbage rolls and perogies to go. Food was great. But what I really like is the young lady at the counter, who was the nicest, most pleasant young person I have dealt with in a long long time.

Delicious and so cheap! They make amazing vegan borscht and cabbage rolls too, so anyone can find something to eat there

Ukrainian comfort food. They have limited seating so be prepared if you’re planning to dine in. Otherwise, their babka is amazing and I always get a loaf whenever I’m in the area. I highly recommend that you get the two combos. They fill you up quite a bit and I love their cabbage rolls and the pierogies.

Highly recommend!! Definitely one of the best bakeries in New Westminster. Not only are their products delicious but also their service is really good. The only things I wish they had are more tables and a bigger place. Usually we have to get things to go and therefore are not fresh when I eat them. If you are going on a weekend prepare for the line up.

Amazing and delicious food here. Their staff is alway friendly. Had the best borsch soup here. Sourdough breads are well made and very tasty. The bread pared with our soup has herring spread which give a special flavor to them. The chocolate babka is very chocolaty with reasonable price. My son is crazy for their honey cake (medovyk). The cinnamon roll has very strong cinnamon aroma and is so good with coffee. The place is not big and not quite for dine in, but surprisingly, their food is served with stainless knife /fork, porcelain plate, and white cotton napkin. During the pandemic, after seeing so many places provide disposable cutleries, paper napkins, Kozak does give us very unique and pleasant dining experience. Another thing I like is the way they pack their food with paper bags and twine, very environment friendly👍

Exceptional service and delicious perogies! Followed by nose and found this cute bakery/pastry Ukrainian store. The storefront is not big, with bar seating for 5 people. The place was busy, with clearly marked covid standing stickers. Plus, I think the majority of patrons know how cozy the little eatery is so folks were lining up outside to get in. Ordered the four cheese perogies at the till and sat down. The staff there are friendly and patient with my questions. The perogies were delicious. Will return again.

Sourdough and Babka were excellent. Would go back for these and/or to try different bread and pastries. Tasty Borscht but not sure if it’s supposed to have actual pieces of pork. Maybe it’s only pork broth? Have only seen a couple tiny shreds after going through half of a take out container.

Food was pretty good, I wish the portion size was one or two pierogi bigger. Nice feel inside the shop, wide array of baked goods. Almost no inside seating, if you are a group of more than two there is not inside seating for you

Food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Our server was attentive and kind. He made great recommendations and even brought additional samples of bread to our table to share. Highly recommend.
