Review New Dundee Emporium - New Dundee

Incredible experience for the Queen’s Jubilee High Tea! Every bite was extraordinary and clearly handmade with love. And so much food! There were 5 of us and we all were totally stuffed and still had lots to pack up to go. Mark and Danny have created a lovely little oasis in New Dundee. Can’t wait to go back for high tea, and to try some of their food to go! My French-Canadian husband is excited about the tourtière and I’ve heard great things about their pizza!

Excellent place to eat and shop. The server staff were very friendly and accommodating. They started you off with the best warm rolls and butter. We ordered crab cakes and the hot bacon dip. They were both very good. We ate the meatloaf dinner, Lamb Burger and a salad and the Seafood Stuffed Sole ( was to die for). The homemade Ice Tea is amazing!!! Very much recommend eating here

“Turkey Dinner to go” was delicious. Lots of food and just like an old fashioned Christmas dinner! We highly recommend. Oh... and don”t forget the pizzas, too! They are great on the BBQ. Thank you Mark & Danny.

Clear signage with hours. Staff are very friendly. Parking is a breeze, just park on the street. Hidden gem.

Have gone many times for frozen takeout. Top shelf for quality for sure. Love how very little salt is used in the preparation (you actually taste fantastic chef made cuisine) plus I love how the liquid sauces are not so thick and I just thicken after cooking. Thank you so very much!

Above and beyond! My sister and mom made the reservations for us for the day before Mother's Day. I follow the keto way of eating, and checked out the lunch menu online - looked great...lots of suitable options for me. What I didn't know until I got there was that it was a fixed menu that day - only high tea available. My bad, because I didn't know, but I thought I'd ask if there was anything from the regular menu available. Mark explained that the kitchen wasn't prepared for anything else, and he could make no guarantees, but he'd check. Meanwhile, I prepared to have just tea, because scones, sandwiches and sweets just aren't what I eat. Then our server arrived with a plate made up especially for me, and I was blown away. Now, I didn't really explain 'keto', so they must have known about it to do this so well. Not only was the plate noteable for its absence of grains and sugar, but they had added asparagus and avocado - two things that are terrific on keto. And the egg salad with a touch of curry was delicious on a lettuce boat. I wasn't expecting to get anything, but I ended up feeling very well looked after! Despite an extremely busy day, Mark was also chatting with the guests and customers in the store, ensuring everyone felt welcome. We don't get to New Dundee very often, but we're going to look for an excuse to come back again soon. In the meantime, I picked up a couple of lamb shanks from their freezer that should tide us over.

Great cute, rustic place to have tea. Went there for a bridal shower and it was beautiful. Had a little boutique too there. The tea and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed this place.
