If you love beer, cocktails, live music, and great food - you have to check out The Royal. It's right on Baker St, in the heart of the action in downtown Nelson. The have a huge selection of local & craft beers, and really delicious, unique foods for great prices. I always get the black bean veggie burger with added feta AND cheddar cheese. SO GOOD. It's the only place in town with the sound system and tech to REALLY enjoy live music. Always a great lineup of local and touring artists. On top of music, there's also paint nights and movie nights. A true community hub!

Such a cool place. The colours, the vibe and the drinks are great. Good selection of beers on tap, I’ll have to visit again and try the food.

During our stay in Nelson this place quickly became a favourite! The honey mustard chicken wings are amazing!!!! We couldn't stop talking about them and stopped in specifically for them several times. Live music was really fun as well!

Cool place to stop for a drink and some food. They had a live DJ on the patio which made for a great vibe and the food was delicious. They also allowed Dogs on the patio.

Food and feel was great. We went for a concert but the sound was not great. They were pushing the speakers beyond their capacity. Other than that, great place to eat and drink.

The "Would Crush" beer was outta this world , 10/10 would crush over and over and over. The crushable burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a restaurant taste wise and price point( And I am an avid burger lover) The deep fried Brie was da bomb! Really dig this place 👌

Was recommended to come here because they often have live music. It was a great recommendation, enjoyed the music, had some good beer and all the food is well priced.

Bring your toddler here for happy hour and stay for 2 hours order the quinoa balls at $2 off have a couple beers for $5 each and let your toddler run around the big open space with the music at the perfect volume for them to say hi to everyone at every table until they decide to go to the bathroom and play with the sinks it’s great oh they can also discover the secret tunnel but don’t worry if they don’t notice them right away it took us/our daughter until our third visit to find it one more thing enjoy a booth by the window and greet the passers by
