Review Noodlebox - Nanaimo

I've been going to Noodlebox since it opened in Victoria. Yes flavors and quality vary place to place or even depending on who's cooking. I was nervous to order again at this location because my last order just tasted of oil and reading the recent reviews it wasn't looking great. However I think the owner is listening to the feedback because this was one of the best Spicy Peanut with Prawn and extra Veggies I've had!!! The person at the front counter was friendly as well.

Awful -first most Noodlebox I find the people to be customer service oriented at this location I’ve gone three times and the cashier is usually younger and nice or kind. But it is obvious the owner/chef is quite miserable and that says a lot to work to put into the food. This is the worst location for noodle box I’ve been going to Victoria’s noodle box ever since they opened it’s always been really hot and fresh with lots of veggies and really great sauces etc. I don’t know what happened the last three times at this location but it is mainly spending $14-$16 for rice or noodles very limited sauce and a few broccoli with some other small pieces. Huge disappointment we wont be here again

Great food but you need to be prepared to wait for it. We've been waiting over 40 minutes. This is the second time that we've tried it and both have been very long waits. Sharing this review in case you don't have the time or if you're hungry.

Unfortunately they are racist and disrespectful at this location. I ordered without meat and found chicken in my order. So I went back to show the staff and get my order. The owner gave the $5 coupon. Staff seemed to have enjoyed that. After almost a year went there with the coupon. Staff gave a look and went to speak to a some lady who decided not to give the discount as it is expired! I said where is the expiry date. She said it does not have stamp on it. I politely asked her if the discount card has been issued by this store and still they can’t honour their discount card. She said yes with a smirk. I was sad to see we still experience this kind of racial discrimination. Really unfortunate.

Ordered a gluten free med heat pad Thai. Quick, friendly service. Food was delicious and it was a huge portion for a great price, I will definitely have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch as well. Restaurant was clean. The handwritten note on the bag was a nice touch.

Went to noodle box for the first time today..walked by and smelled the most amazing smell, so we ordered lunch. Wow! they were the loveliest people to deal with.. our food was prepared in good time, when served it was fresh, hot and taste Fantastic!! Please give them your money .. they will be getting lots of ours from now on…!!!!

Ordered prawns & tofu with 2 of our 3 boxes, charged extra(no problem with that) but then they didn’t put any prawns in either of them. I ordered zoo noodles in mine, which I’ve had before many times, I expected it to be a bit more watery because of that, but it was completely soup. It was mostly liquid in the bowl with a bit of actual solid food. The girl that started helping me was really nice, then some other lady comes, dismisses her rudely shaking her head at her, I guess she did something wrong before that? Anyway, the lady that took over wasn’t very friendly. I tipped anyway, because maybe they were having a bad day? When I got home and found the result of our order, I called, got the same lady, I was being nice about it, she said she was busy right now with customers there and she would call me back, not even a sorry, like I was inconveniencing her! She never called me back! Am I not a customer too? She gladly took my money before that! They have messed up a few times and we never say anything, this time I thought we should say something! Guess it doesn’t matter anyway! I suggest opening your order up at the counter and checking it before leaving!!!!!!

I ordered a soup special it came with spoons but it was just no soup it was another noodle bowl of some sort . I ordered the Cambodian jungle curry box nothing like the photos it actually looked like the bowl that was to be the soup could not tell the different than I ordered the spicy peanut noodle box, again nothing like the photos like nothing I will include what it looked like it was all the same mess of no fresh vegetables no soup I was hoping for on these freezing days . Also you pay for chicken I could barely see any at all no point to pay for it there is none. Also the ginger beef I ordered for my son which suggests with rice but he hates rice so I picked noodles it came with rice . Just look at the photos below of what I received very unhappy And I tipped 20 percent for a puck up order. Because their tip machine only gives u that option bit cheeky to say u can add the tip here but the lowest one was 20 percent no one pays for take away that much was not happy about that . I was not going to drive 20 mins back but it was a waste of 65 dollars for slop . Below photos wish I knew what was what and what is to be the soup ? Also they labeled nothing ! So it all as u can see on the plate is each dish I am talking about but the ginger beef . What a gross mess
