Review Little George's Restaurant - Nanaimo

This used to be one of our favorites when we lived here and we ordered from Bruce at least once a week, man how I've missed it!!! So delicious! Ordered baked cheese tortellini, popcorn shrimp and large greek salad and soo happy right now! It arrived warm, the cheese was gooey... oh my gosh, just delicious!

Amazing pizza and great wings. I was staying in a nearby motel and Little Georges was one of the only places open still so I gave them a go and I’m glad I did. I’ll order from them next time I am in Nanaimo from the mainland!

We went to pickup our pizza, and it was a wonderful experience. Amazing costumer service, and absolutely delicious pizza. 10/10 would recommend and eat again. Also prices are good:)

Great pizza fast and friendly service. Food taste great and portions on point. Pay a little more than other paper pizza joints but its worth it.

This place is a complete joke. They gave us two incorrect pizzas and refused to correct both made us choose between which one we wanted right and told us we could just pick the topping off. We told them about my husband's allergy and then they accused us of just not likeing somthing. We have been long time customers but we will not be returning. Absolutely ridiculous.

The pizza awesome. I am happy that they have a lot of choices for the sauces. My family really likes white sauces on their pizza. Good food and great service.

It’s hit & miss. Maybe it depends on the cook, but the last time I ordered the BOGO pasta, it was amazing. The containers were full with the perfect amount of sauce. This time…. 1/2 full containers, one pasta had so much sauce I had to remove some to make it enjoyable & the other lacked, to a point where I considered maybe they forgot the sauce all together…. For $32 this wasn’t worth it, sadly. Also, BOGO stands for “Buy One Get One” and I remember when it was exactly that.. if they can’t honor the same BOGO deal & only issuing 1/2 off one pasta, then it’s time to rethink the deal name.

I just ordered the Rib Mealw/side Cesar and baked ravioli.. So good! Keep it up you crew, I order here often and I'm never disappointed.

We are frequent take out customers of Little Georges in the south side. The last pizza we ordered was the Bacon Cheddar Melt and were very disappointed. It had only 1 slice of pepperoni and was so salty we had to to throw most of it away. We will try another pizza place next time.

Vegan Option: No <br/>Vegetarian Option: Yes<br/><br/>I've yet to try their pizza, but I've ordered from here a few times and it's been pretty consistent.<br/>We usually get veggie burgers or stuff like onion rings, fries, and zuchinni sticks. One thing I can say about this place is that the food always gets here super hot! You wouldn't think onion rings would arrive piping hot but they do! Kudos for that. Their veggie burger patty does contain cheese, so would not be suitable for vegans. <br/>Decent greasy eats, no bad experiences yet.

We had some pizza at Little Georges Restaurant a few days ago. The food was great, service was pleasant and best of all it made my kids happy. A great atmosphere with equally great food. Highly recommend.

UP - Nice heavy pizza's with good quality toppings. Prices aren't bad either.<br/><br/>DOWN - Maybe a bit greasy, but what do you expect!?<br/><br/>OUT - I've found this location to be better than the north location. Some good bang for your buck and unique options.

You will be sorry not worth any price !!!!!!!. Orded a gilled chicken burger, baked lasagna .The burger showed up with out the bun phoned back to complain the girl told me not to be mad couldn't believe it, threw the chicken away bad smell tried the lasagna way to salty and the garlic toast had no butter on it $ 14.95 for chicken crap and $ 14.00 something for salty lasagna and plain bread. I was told not to order from here,believe me not worth your time and money.

Love this place. Good atmosphere, friendly service and amazing food. Love the cheap pasta Tuesdays. Recommending any of their specialty pastas.

Great Pizza thanks guys. Since we have moved back to Nanaimo, checked out e few pizza joints and the pizza here is friggin awesome, the sides r alright could use some work but not bad, service is good friendly and time getting here is good even on buzy days, tip we do and fair, keeping us happy works thanks guys.........cheers

Just Awful. We ordered early on New Year's Day, and waited a good 40 minutes past the original 40 minute time frame they gave us. Its completely understandable that they were busy, but when we called to make sure, the girl who answered was rude and dismissive. The food, when it finally came, was a lukewarm, soggy mess. The yam fries and fries were limp and mushy, my teriyaki burger was a wet bun topped with nothing but watery sauce, a mushed in tomato and limp lettuce. What kind of burger was that?! The mozza sticks were barely cooked at all. Just hunks of cheese topped in grease. I have never been so grossed out and disappointed by a $45 dollar meal. We threw most of it away. Little George's, you have just lost yourself a customer.

Great place. The place has been around for along time and there is not many places that can say that, the food is always really great, I used to get take out most of the time. But with the new renos the place is beautiful. The owner has been around for a long time and knows what hes doing

Very delightful. I recently went to Little Georges in the South end, we went on Wednesday night where they had a steak special. It was around 10 dollars and you get a 7oz steak and a plate of steamed spaghetti with a side of garlic toast! First of all, this is a GREAT price! I was kind of curious to see whether the steak was going to even be good for that low price....but oh my. It was DELICIOUS! Cooked to perfection (which is hard to find at any restaurant). Kudos to little georges for offering affordable meals, great service, and a friendly environment.

So good!. Delicious food! always big portioned and spot on every time. when people say it's the best pizza in town, they really aren't kidding! most places are cheap on toppings but never there! they have they best pizza sauce as well! not only is the pizza super good but pretty much everything on the menu in my opinion, also their house made ceaser dressing is honestly the best i've ever tasted, i will never enjoy another ceaser salad now unless it's from there! Little Georges is a must try!!

YUM!. Just went in a few weeks ago, and oh my! the place seriously looks great! it's fully renovated and modern inside and the food is still delicious and big portioned! everything is so fresh tasting and the pizza is wonderful. my husband had the steak which i must say is the best in town (including the keg) they have also upped their wine assortment, which is just the perfect add to my lovely dinner. The service, food and location is amazing, i recommend to everyone!

Been around a long time and still good!. I have been ordering pizza from here from a long time and each time I always get excited. I like the menu, the service and the speed at which I get my meal and deliveries as well. Definitely give these pizzas a shot especially the Meaty ones. Kudos LG's!

Good food great service!!. I was in Little Georges the other night, and I must say the renovations are absolutely gorgeous. I have never had a bad experience in this restaurant, whether I have dined in, ordered for takeout, or had a delivery. The front staff is always polite and courteous, as well as the drivers.I have read the negative comments by some people about this restaurant, but I would have to disagree. Growing up in this area, I have seen how busy this restaurant is. If some peoples negative comments are right, how has this business survived for the past 25 years when so many others have failed in Nanaimo?? Some people have nothing better to do than complain about restaurants. Best pizza and pasta in town in my opinion!!

O ya we have been customers for 18 yrs...good bye to a ba relationship wih this hole...they brag about their million dollar upgrade as they drag you through the kitchen bt all the. Machines in the world can not make a bad cook a good cook

Bad Service. Ordered a pizza, cause it was late (10;30pm) and I didnt want to cook. Was told 45 min, which I thoughtt was long, but agreed. Well, after waitin for jus over an hour I called, and was informed he should be there "any second". Well after waitng another 1/2 hour I called again. Was put on hold, kept given excused, and talked to owner, who also was full of excuses. I had given more than enuff informationon my adsdress as well as vehicles parked in driveway. I stated tht this was unacce[ptable service and all he said was "You still want the pizza". I said yes, but didnt want to pay for it, and was pretty much hung up on. The driver called shortly after and was at the wrong addresss, and said something, (my additionalinformation) was scribbled on the reciept. I told him what happened and said, I would take the pizza, but wasnt willing to pay, for such lousey service. Long story short, No pizza, bad service, crappy taste in my mouth for "LG's" and its 11:50 pm.<br/>Never Again!!!!!!!!!<br/>One lost regualr customer

Only the south one. I've only ever gone to the original south location.<br/><br/>It's a mid-priced place, with a functional and un-stylish decor. However, if you want the best steak in town (and I include Keg, etc. in that), then you want to come here. Only once in many, many visits have I been disappointed. The person choosing their meat is a master at their craft, and it's invariably extraordinarily tender, and worthy of being eaten "blue" - which is to say seared on the outside and only warmed up on the inside. Something I say about very few places.<br/><br/>The rest of their fare is OK, but not spectacular. My wife particularly likes their fettuccine Alfredo. I also enjoy their steamed spaghetti. If you want it spicy, get the vegetable sauce. The meat sauce is more bland, but still tasty.<br/><br/>They really need to get a better selection of beers. A Blues Brothers mis-quote come in handy here: "We have BOTH kinds of beer here, Molson and Labatts". Ick. Their wines are plonk, but sort of drinkable. Still, the steaks make it all worthwhile.

Drastic differences from North to South. Luckily I live in the South end and therefore have the better tasting of the 2 near me. I had made the mistake of ordering from the North end one from work and it was terrible. All I got was a teriyaki chicken cesar salad, I wouldn't think it would be easy to botch this, but they did. The chicken was covered with this incredibly thick sticky sauce, it tasted like it hadn't been cooked with the sauce and that the sauce was merely added at the last moment, nasty. The salad dressing was nothing like the South end, I don't know if it is a different brand but it was under dressed and what taste it did have was bland. <br/><br/>I am however happy to report I am once again ordering from the South end tonight. Their cesar salad is the best, creamy and well-dressed. Everything other then the Alfredo dishes have always been great. Alfredo was again bland and tasted like it needed at least some salt.

Really Rude Customer Service. The South End little georges is great. I've just moved back to the north end and have found the service at the north end little georges really bad. On two different occasions I've been greeted with really a really rude attitude, in person and on the phone. Will NOT order from them anymore. It's not worth it

Confused. I don't know why everyone talks about this place. I really just find their pizza awful.
