Work trip dinner before taking the ferry back to Vancouver. I was craving for sushi, and I’ve good things about this place. Food was ok, it’s fresh for sure, I just think they rely on the sauce too much, I ordered 2 speciality rolls which are not on the pictures, they are way too saucy. The nigi toro maki is a little blend, tempura was a little too heavy on the batter. It’s not bad for Nanaimo standard.

Probably been there about 10-15 times now, and every time I have ordered from there it has been perfect. It even feels a bit like an old school sushi to go place, a few seats but very charming. Easily my favourite sushi place in Nanaimo. A++

The prices are very reasonable, the fish is fresh, the sushi is always satisfying, and the menu covers a wide variety of styles (including rare finds).
I love the local feel of the shop, and the workers there are so nice, coordinated, and thoughtful.
This is my favorite sushi place in Nanaimo, due to the quality, consistency, and affordability. I recommend trying it to everyone who is able.

Today, I went to try this restaurant for the first time. I went in for lunch, and grabbed Take-out. Half the toppings on the sushi were not mentioned, and it smelt awful, and seems to have gone bad.
I called, the guy told me, I was wrong, and they always have fresh food, and products. No refund, apology. Extremely not understanding, and they really don’t care about their customers. I will never order over the phone, and go to this place ever again.I will tell everyone to stay away from this toxic place.

This has to be a hidden gem of Nanaimo for Sushi. Fresh ingredients, and oh so tasty sushi. Better than a number of high end sushi restaurants we ate at in Vancouver. A must go to if you are in Nanaimo.

DISGUSTING!! Went in for food and half the toppings on the sushi were not mentioned, the crab and prawns smelt like they’d been left out for a few days and smelt like rotten meat as soon as I opened the lid. I called back to explain my issue and they offered Zero help, and said there’s nothing they can do. Just go anywhere else besides here. Low quality in every aspect.

I love Nemo Sushi the people here are kind and grateful you've come they make the rice just like the Japanese do with a touch of apple cider vinegar and always fresh and a good bargain for their platters plenty of food to feed everyone a regular stop for my family and I as they are centrally located in terminal Park Mall behind the TD Bank go check them out you won't be disappointed

Regular customer cheap. First of all the California rolls "are" the cheapest in Nanaimo and come in a decent size. The trays they sell are phanominal, I believe that the owner invented all five of them and unique to that store. The bento boxes are my favorite that's what I order when I go to eat, what's unique about them is that they put nigiri as part of the sushi which I like and filling.

What a Great Sushi Place!. Nemo Sushi compares favourably to most good-quality sushi places in town. Its great selling feature is the price. If the seating were a little more comfortable, I would call it a cosy little restaurant, rather than just being a take-out place. Tuna Sashimi being my favourite, I could easily call it the best in town. Always friendly and clean.

Nemo Sushi to Go. For a quick sushi takeout place its not terrible. The maki rolls are probably the best purchase but I would avoid the sashimi or the rice bowl. The rice probably sat in the bowl for too long as it was hard and very dry when consumed. Perhaps my expectations for sashimi were different due to eating at many other japanese establishments. I honestly didn't expect smoked salmon or tiny shrimp (in mayo) as well as ebi shrimp to be part of their sashimi order. It would have been passable if not for the poor quality of the fish served.

If I was just ordering maki I wouldn't mind, it is certainly better than getting the pre-packaged ones at the grocery store. Otherwise I honestly wouldn't recommend it.
