Review Pho V Ta - Nanaimo

Great little place if your looking for a authentic Vietnamese experience... food is great, portions are big, and price if very reasonable... Lots of healthy options too!

Authentic Vietnamese fare. Came and ordered only pho and canh Chua the seafood can chua was veryyy sweet. Rare beef and tendon pho was okay - not sure what cut of beef they used to but its don't think it's brisket so it wasn't as juicy as I expected. Only 2 pieces of tendon. However considering the price of eating out it was reasonable. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Lots of seating.

I had the Special Beef Pho which is great but I do really love what my boyfriend order which is Ginger Chicken Chow Mein(weekly special). I love how the ingredients aren't mixed up but instead they put it as toppings. The chicken is crispy and has a nice flavor in it, even the veggies are tasty too. Try it out if you visit Nanaimo, BC.

We’ll made pho with nice broth and fresh ingredients. Great service. Good parking options out front. Simple, spare interior. Nice family owned restaurant.

It wasn't too good or too bad. It was okay. The soup you're seeing closer to you is hot and our soup. It came with side rice noodle bowl (not in the picture). The soup was good but the chunks of toppings in it were really big. The soup on the far end was beef pho rice noodle. Can't judge restaurant over couple things so gonna give it a try again and update our review.

Fast service. Friendly, great prices. I left full, ready for a nap. They take care of you.

Horrible experience and very disappointed. We ordered take-out and got it home to only discover that there had been an error and we clearly received someone else's order. I phoned to let them know there was a mistake and I was rudely challenged by the female that answered the phone. Finally I was passed off to a gentleman who confirmed my order again and I told him what we actually received. He apologized and I told him I would come back to get what we actually ordered. I take the 15 min drive back to get my food and bring them the wrong order. He takes my bag and goes into the kitchen. I wait another 5 ish minutes and he comes back out and hands me the exact same bag and apologizes for the error. Get home and open the boxes to find that they have reused the ingredients from the 2 boxes of the wrong dishes we had and put our chicken and shrimp (which the menu says is Shrimp Sugar Cane and that is not what we got) back on top of the lettuce and cucumbers that have now been sitting in the takeout box for almost an hour. Spring rolls were soggy by this point but clearly had been over cooked originally with the burnt ends and could only taste the garlic in them. Chicken is dark meat that was really fatty and chewy. Vermicelli noodles were sticky and mushy. Would not recommend them at all. Save your money and go elsewhere. We ended up throwing 3/4 of it in the garbage.

Best Pho in town, spring rolls are delicious! Super friendly service! I've been getting take out since they opened and it's always good!! One of my favorite restaurants.
