This is my favourite restaurant, normally A+, but The last two times my family ate here, the beef dishes were more fat than meat. To the point of being inedible. Maybe it’s an issue with their beef supplier? The vegetarian dishes are still amazing though!
Yesterday (Tuesday/Feb/06) I ordered take out and the food was made fast and I picked up in 20minutes, the very pretty lady gave me some advice on the food and she was right, I ordered rice n roti, Lamb Vindoloo, Prawns Diwali (hope that is spelt correctly?) and it was delicious, Nxt time I'll have it hot as it should be but it was worth it. The lovely young lady who helped me was right and I think anybody going there will enjoy their meal, either eating there or take out but I do recommend this restaurant and the lovely ladies working there.
Good food, good menu & clean place!
The appetizers are good & the main dishes are great! The only one problem is the service. A little bit slow & they don't take notes of the orders which may let the waiter forget extra notes.
I've been here twice - both were very different dining experiences.
First experience - Went with a couple of girlfriends, no one acknowledged us when we walked in. Then we were told to sit wherever we wanted. From there, we waited for menus for almost 10minutes (they weren't even busy). They drinks were great and the food was fabulous when we were finally served. Service was lacking. Also, before we went to leave, we had to use the restroom and it was so unbelievably disgusting. No toilet paper, paper towels and garbage on the floor, wet floors. We just held it and left.
Second experience - Prompt service, excellent food again. I highly recommend the spinach paneer - so yummy! The curry is also really great. I guess it just depends on whose working and that will determine the service you will receive.
Atmosphere is dark because of dark seats and furniture with dim lights. I would recommend giving each table a tea-light candle in the evenings to brighten things up.
I will certainly be back as this is some of the best indian food in town, but I might just do take out vs. the whole dining in experience.
The best. My wife and I love well prepared Indian food. We have eaten at the Tandoori Junction twice, an evening meal and their superb lunch smorg. Well priced, not cheap well worth it, the food is great value. We will be back.
Terrific lunch buffet. What I really miss about my fav Indian restaurants in YVR is the lunch buffet. So I was excited to discover that the new Tandoori Junction has one. I've been there 4 times, and every time, it's been great. Last week, the waiter even brought fresh naan to our table.
Great Indian Food at a good price.. We recently ate at the Tandoori Junction and thought the food was just great. Six people had six different dishes and we all thought all dishes were excellent. Tasty, fresh and just right for seasoning for us. The service was very good however we were there fairly early in the evening so had much of the staff to attend our needs.
We also eat at times at the Gateway to India and it is also good.
We definitely will return.
Great Indian food. My wife took me to this retaurant last night for the first time. It was fabulous! The Prawns Diwali were amazing and the Spinach Paneer(?) was great for a vegetarian dish. The waitress was super nice. We will be back.
The food was really good. First day I tried chicken afghani and lamb spinach and came back second day to eat as well.
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the great indian food and their traditional dresses.
Fantastic meal over all, sadly I cannot comment in the dessert options as the appetizer and main course left me too satisfied and full to try. The meat in the butter chicken and the lamb rogan were as tender as can be and the taste was exactly what one should expect from a well made curry.
Absolute taste!!! Love their food!!! Taste is still in my mouthh! Thank you guyss for being in nanaimo
Tandoori junction is really awesome indian place
We went last night and food was so deliciuos and cery friendly environment
I recommend go and check out gud indian place in town!!!
Food is delicious and super traditional! Loads gluten free and vegan options, super friendly and accomodating staff, and great location. Will be back, also Pokhara here is 👌🏽
We had a smashing lunch of veggie manchurian, fried rice, and paneer biryani here and every one of them was spot on. Light, flavorful, and most importantly, not swimming in ketchup or oil. They got it SO right despite being located on a far flung island (at least by my personal non-islandy standards).
I loved the food , atmosphere and interiors.Staff were super friendly and service was so good. it’s a very nice cuisine buffet and lots of options to choose from. Food quality is well maintained . Had a great time here and i would definitely love to go again and again.
I have been to this restaurant couple of times. My experience has always been great. Great taste, exceptional service. I would totally recommend this place to someone who is looking for authentic Indian food.
Food is delicious! However it’s not really a wheelchair accessible location. The entrance is ground level but the door to go in isn’t accessible (no button), and the women’s washroom is down a set of stairs. I don’t know if the men’s washroom is accessible or not.
Wonderful food with excellent service. Great taste and good environment…
I’ve had their lunch buffet a few times it has a excellent selection of items , l must say it can be a hit or miss but when it’s hot and fresh for the price it’s definitely a good feast of Indian cuisine .
