The PROS found ourselves in downtown Nanaimo yesterday, and we were looking for a place to #putitinmyMOUTH ~ We decided we wanted to go somewhere iconic, and that had a great view. We got a great table, excellent service, a beautiful view and a tasty meal. PROS TIP : SAY YES TO THE GRAVY! PHOTO :

Was so excited to try their mussels and clams but was utterly disappointed. The quality was unbelievably bad. The actual meat of the mussels were shriveled up to almost nothing (aka not fresh at all). Pretty much all the mussels and clams were like this, except for maybe one or two that was relative

So poor experience, the place itself is great nice, view and ambiance. However, the food not so good at all, for the price the portions are way too poor. And also, seemed like they used leftovers for the fries and salad. Not worthy at all.

Didn’t expect much from a pub in a touristy spot, and we were pleasantly surprised! Great service and delicious food. Their mussels are to die for. The best broth we’ve ever had! Chowder and spinach & crab dip were also good. We will be back for the mussels!

What a beautiful spot!! We had a great dinner, the halibut was sooo good an nice and hot. My husband had bourbon chicken. Our server was soo sweet!! You need to eat here!! We were treated like royalty by the entire staff!!!
