My hubby turned 50 today and he wanted pizza for dinner. Our usual spot was closed so I had to find somewhere else. All of the reviews I could find said Mambo was the best. I ordered 2 XL pizzas and tried 6 different kinds, all delivered within a minute of the promised delivery time. The pizzas were unbelievable! So delicious!! My hubby is a bit of a critic when it comes to pizza but he loved them!!! Well done! Now I see what the fuss is all about.
Best pizza I've ever had!!!! We lived here 7 years ago and it was the best pizza ive had and I'm a pizza lover. We're back to nanaimo as of few days ago and I'm so excited to try out pizza we just ordered!!!!
Mambo's is by far the best pizza place in Nanaimo, if not the entirety of British Columbia. When you combine great ingredients with delicious pizza recipes (the Four-Cheese is my absolute favourite, but the crust alone is to die for on any of their pies) and an incredibly passionate staff, the result is beautiful. Mambo Gourmet Pizza is beautiful. These guys are some of the first to arrive on the block and some of the last to leave, always thinking of new ways to help the community and always up for a smile or a small chat. Seriously, if you're in Nanaimo and you miss out on Mambo Pizza, you're missing out on the heart of our downtown businesses and their incredible craft.
Our order got mixed up somehow and Mambos not only rushed another pizza out to us, there was also no charge for it. Great service and the best pizza in Nanaimo! I won't order from anywhere else! Thank you Mambos
I've been ordering from mambos for years. I only order from them if I want pizza. Today, for the first time ever, we got a pizza I wasn't happy with. We phoned to let them know and they immediately sent a new pizza. Not only do they have the best pizza in town by far, they take such good care of their customers. Best customer service too!

Mambo's is the only pizza I will buy. I was thrilled when I found out that they served vegan pizza -- a lifesaver for me on busy days. If you are vegan -- or lactose-intolerant -- do give Mambo's pizza a try. You won't regret it.

We were fortunate enough to get a tasty sampler of Mambos pizza for my daughters' birthday yesterday. Not only was every slice creative and well made, but they were LOADED with delicious toppings!! The crust was perfect and coming from someone who usually leaves it behind that says a lot - I finished every bite! I can't speak highly enough about Mambos - we'll definitely order from here again 👨👩👧👧❤️👍

My favourite pizza in the country - and I’ve had a lot of pizza! Mambos is always my first stop when I come home for a visit. Service and quality can’t be beat, owners are fantastic people who you can tell take pride in their work. Treat yourself!

Incredible place! Great gluten free and vegan options, I am celiac and called in beforehand and they take good precautions with the gluten free pizzas (using a separate space to prepare it, placing it on parchment in the pizza oven, and using separate cutting utensils for it) which was reassuring enough to try it. It was delicious and such a treat! I had the Pesto Popeye and it was amazing with tons of flavour, and those I was with had the Donair pizza and they enjoyed it too but said it was less flavourful. Take note that currently, I’m assuming due to COVID, there is no indoor or outdoor seating, it’s only take out.
Sensory overload to say the least. Whole experience was great, order online, get a text with a pickup time and another text when your pizza is ready. Whole ride home smelled amazing. Took one bite of the pickle boy and I found my new favorite pizza place. Highly recommend trying mambo pizza. Everything was super fresh and tastes like quality ingredients are used from the dough to the cheese. Thank you to whoever made the recipes, you made the world a better place
Highly recommended. Definelty go with the extra large (18") as you can choose 4 different pizzas flavours in one pizza. Its a great way to try different combos and a great value at less than $30. Lots of food. The pizza itself was tasty, good amount of quality toppings and well put together. I was also impressed with their customer service as i have a nut allergy so pesto can be problematic. I ordered online and they send me a custom message after confirming their pesto has no nuts. Great extra effort. 👏
The pizza is great.. some nights is a long wait. Tonight I called in when it was over a half hour past the hour and forty-five minutes they said it would be and they told me it was just coming out of the oven. Got a call a few minute later to tell me they forgot to put some of my items on the pizza Thank you for catching that and offering and then giving me a full refund. Customer service goes a long way.. I'll be ordering again.. The pizza is still the best in town.
Great vegan options! The cheese they use is much better than Daiya that sticks in your mouth. This stuff actually melts. Friendly service and they resolve any issues brought forward promptly. 10/10 would recommend over any chain. You get what you pay for B)
By far the best pizza! It is all about the crust and Mambos has the best crust. Stopped in to get a few pizzas for a late night check in for camping. Raved about the pizza to my out of town friends and they did not disappoint. Love that you can order an XL pizza and be able to get 4 different types on 1 pizza.

Fantastic pizza and one of the highlights of my trip. I loved it so much that I simply had to go back on the last day to get some pizza before boarding the ferry back to Vancouver. They make the pizza fresh upon order (takes around 30 mins) so that it is piping hot right out of the pizza oven. Service is decent and the portion is reasonable for the price. They have lots of vegan options (and they use violife cheese!) and their pizzas are highly customisable. I got a custom pizza and it was amazing (5/5). I love their barbecue base (they are very generous with the sauce) which was the perfect amount of smoky and tangy and the vegan cheese is super melty as well. The amount of toppings is pretty generous (I got mushroom, broccoli and spinach) and the crust is fluffy. I'm usually not a fan of thick crust pizza (I prefer thin) but this one was super good. The spicy marinara I got as a side was a bit too spicy for me personally though. If you have a low spice tolerance I'd suggest getting something else. Other than that I have no complaints and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're ever in Nanaimo.
Mambos never disappoints! Overdose, bacon cheeseburger, Voodoo, juniper, jalapeño popper are all great. I don't think they serve anything the people wouldn't die for! Veggie pizzas like spinny style and pesto pizazz are also killer!
