Review The Pigeon - Mount Hope

Best chicken sandwich EVER! I had the Double, my friend had the Buffalo. Firstly these sandwiches are massive (I couldn't finish mine) and next, they are delicious. Lovely white meat chicken breast (no bad bites, for me that's hugely important!) The double had lots of sauce, bacon and gooey cheese! Yum. My friend was impressed by the size of the sandwich, that it's a solid chicken breast, batter was good and it tasted great. Fries were also huge and very very tasty! Go to the Pigeon. You won't regret it.

Wow amazing chicken sandwiches. Ordered the Buffalo not knowing it was going to be very spicy so unfortunately we couldn’t finish it. The BBQ bacon cheddar was amazing but FYI these are messy to eat in your car lol. Also got the popcorn chicken which was delicious. Ordering online was very easy and convenient. Will go again for sure 👍🏻as the customer service is also excellent 😊

Edited: I have had the opportunity to go here THREE times now, each time has been awesome. I really can’t help myself when it comes to ordering the Parmesan fries with my sandwich. Her specials are so phenomenal that I don’t have the opportunity to order off the regular menu, though I’m sure it’s just as fantastic. I have gotten to experience the Mac Fried Chicken, the Donut Monster Collaboration, and now the Queso Fried Chicken. Each of them struck a chord with me that I couldn’t refuse, delightful and flavourful. One of the struggles in the area when it comes to fried chicken is that the flavour of the fried chicken can end up bland on the sandwich, which this establishment does not struggle with. It’s tasty, a light spice, crunchy, juicy, and more. Additionally they have really made it easy to order during the pandemic, so that’s a welcome bonus for them. Ordering online through their app with time slots is simple and they were timely. Moved up to one of my favourite restaurants in Hamilton.

Heard so many good things about this new little takeout (and catering) place that we just had to try it, despite the 25-minute drive to get there from our place in the Dundas Valley. So worth every moment of the drive to Mount Hope near the Hamilton airport. Their fried chicken sandwich gave me goosebumps, it was so delicious. The truffle fries tasted divine. What a nice day for a drive too, and eating on their picnic table under the shade tree was perfect. They were really prompt with our order and had a great selection of soft drinks. My partner enjoyed every bite of his club sandwich too; he always orders club sandwiches everywhere we go, and this one definitely ranked in the top 5. And parking on the side of their building: so convenient. Highly recommended!

We did a phone in and take out order. Meal was very pleasant, the chicken had plenty of meat on it and was not greasy. My wife loved the sandwich, myself I would prefer a but more flavor so I will be trying the Buffalo chicken sandwich next time. The fries were a but cold by the time we got home, bound to happen on a 15 minute drive away but a large fry order would be better enjoyed in restaurant. The truffle fries were delicious, and plentiful. We put two orders in when the two of us could have split it. The flavor of the fries was great, I'm not a truffle fan but the shoe string cut fries were great. Will definitely be ordering them again. Great overall experience

Absolutely incredible food here. 10/10 every single time, they do not f*ck around here lemme tell ya! Buffalo Chicken sandwich is my go-to on their regular menu, but they always have one different feature every week and this weeks General Tso's Chicken Sandwich is so delicious!!! Always friendly service and great quality at the Pigeon!

Awesome chicken sandwiches and fries! The feature of the week is always amazing, and their truffle Parmesan fries are a must. There are no seats inside but they do have a couple of picnic tables outside. Definitely a must try if you’re in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich.

Picked up the butter chicken burger and an order of truffle fries. The burger was good. Just a tad too soggy for me. They use chicken thighs as meat thus The shape is irregular. You are going to get a few bites with no meat as to be expected. Huge serving of fries. The cashier was nice. Roughly 20$ for a chicken burger And fries. A little pricey but I'd recommend this place to someone that is into chicken burgers. Keep in mind this place is takeout only.

This place is such a hidden gem! I discovered them by accident on facebook and went for a quick takeout lunch today. My husband and I got the spinach salad, gnocci, and those fries that have the garlic aioli (sorry can't remember the names lol). Oh my gosh we were blown away by quality and flavour for a small takeout place! We felt as satisfied as if we went to a fancy place! Will be making a lot of recommendations to family and friends!!! Great job guys and also good job at picking the takeout containers (more places need to be more eco friendly!).

I am so happy to get my hands on Matt Beasley’s food again! A true talent. Very cute spot just up Upper James into Mount Hope, with picnic tables outside to sit at. The food is obviously unbelievable and a wide selection of soft drinks. I will be back again and again and I would recommend it again and again! Enjoy! Congrats Jenny and Matt �

What a great spot to eat! Customer service is excellent! Food is delicious. My kids want to go back again to try more menu items. I would highly recommend eating here. �

Great local spot. Ate there twice the first week. Food is very fresh and made to order which is great to see. I ordered the truffle fries each time because they’re that amazing. Prices also reflect the caliber of food they provide. Definitely a go to spot!!!
