Very cozy and quiet place especially for those who wants to do some work or study. Friendly staff and the coffee tastes good.

Big bright room, very friendly staff. The coffee is always fresh, never an undertaste or anything. Sometimes out of my favorite sandwich and some of the seats aren't in their best shapes, but no deal breakers.

Very spacious, cosy, and generally quiet establishment. Staff are always extremely friendly and chatty. Just a nice establishment to either work or catch a major sporting event on one of the large TV screens without the noise typically heard in most bars and restaurants. One of the most underrated and undiscovered coffee shops in downtown Montreal. A must for anyone wanting good coffee(100% certified organic), sandwiches, salads, and deserts. They even have organic , gluten free biscuits.

My main point of writing a review is to say that the staff, including the manager, are great. They are so friendly and polite. While I do not go there often, every time I do, I am very happy with the service. I would suggest, however, management give some thought to the way they have people line up at the cash from both sides. It can be a little frustrating when someone who just walked in is served on one side before the people who have been waiting in line on the other side. Something to think about.

I love this place! They have coffee selections that aren't available in a lot of other run-of-the-mill chain coffee shops (cafe viennois, etc) and the prices were pretty good. They also have a great selection of hot food, in case you're tired of the usual cafe sandwich. The barista was really friendly and answered all of my questions about the various types of drinks and muffins.

Interesting place! First visit! Coffee priced OK. WI fir connection without password! Large sitting area! Heart of downtown plus close to McGill. Plenty of student and staff from the surrounding area! Yes a short line up. Popular and I will return!

A great location and better seating options than many of the cafes near McGill. They have a good breakfast special and it is usually not too loud. Overall, a good cafe for students.

I love this place if I need some peace and quiet . Also a pretty good place to work. Unless you are there during lunch time when it gets real busy

Marvellous coffee shop located close to the McGill campus. The servers are very helpful especially with food allergies. I will be going back the next time I visit McGill.

Overpriced for food, however the dark roast coffee was cheap and tasted good. Very good wifi, modern look, chill atmosphere.

Very well-priced coffee with healthy lunch options close to campus. Why go to Tim Hortons when JavaU’s right there?
