Very tasty burger! I ordered their Garage Burger and it was glorious! Also ordered their onion rings with very fresh onions and well-flavored coating fried to perfection! Very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, and amazing options for menu! I can't wait to go back!

There was a piece of bone, rock, or really anything hard you can think of in my burger. Nearly cracked my tooth. The burger was.. fine, but because of the foreign element, I was basically filled with dread at each bite.worrying if another one of those would make me regret the calories yet again.
my girlfriend got pasta. A little too much sauce on the plate. When she returned the plate I could swear the entire bottom still had sauce on it. This is bad since at proper temperature, that amount of sauce continues to cook the pasta which means you last couple of bites won't have that nice bite to it. Not that it did though. Al denté ? More like Al Didn't.
OH AND THE PLATE OF NACHOS. Cross it off the menu,It's bad. As per the attached picture, A top layer of nachos with a way too low moisture mozz on top. And no interchip toppings like salsa or cheese or any topping really. I resorted to scraping the side of the bowl to get something on these barren chips... I'm not kidding. Also, very skimpy on the sour cream and salsa sides.
Also, they failed to get the billing right by making my friend pay for my girlfriend's drink. And we didn't feel like asking them to fix the bills was appropriate since they were already trying to get us to leave. They asked me if I was done while I had a fry in my hand and a good half portion on my plate
Also, they said our food took a long time because they had 2 groups of 25 people there. First of all, this place can't hold 50. No way hosé, second, this is the exact situation when you should serve the small groups first. .. after recollection of the events, I'm going to have to drop my rating to 2 stars.
It is fairly inexpensive though.

Stopped for a bite to eat and found this hidden gem in a quiet residential area just a block a way from the main street. Food is absolutely fresh, filling and fantastic! Open air dining is wonderful with a cocktail and a delicious entree or a full meal. There is an area to dine on the inside if you wish. Staff was polite, courteous and accommodating. With a large assortment of wines and cocktails to choose from and a diverse menu you should definitely visit this restaurant after 2 years of economic disaster. Vacationers from outside of Montreal should take the time to visit this area of the city and this bistro as well.

Stumbled across this place last night when walking around Verdun! Ben was our waiter and was incredibly nice and helpful. We had bruschetta, which was very good. I had the steak sandwich and my partner had the Alfredo pasta with linguine. We had a very pleasant experience and thought everything tasted delicious! Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone

Been eating here since 2010, and never been disappointed. Incredibly good cost-quality ratio. Menu seems mostly unchanged after all these years, which is great when you go back and want a dose of nostalgia.

Out with the fam jam, we were in Verdun looking for a place to grab lunch. I've never been to Garage Cafe but apparently, they've been multiple times. No idea why. <br/><br/>We dropped in on a Friday afternoon (around 1:00pm). The place was busy. Couple tables on the sidewalk but oddly, there's not enough umbrella shade to cover them all. We didn't find our waitress friendly or helpful.<br/><br/>The menu is extremely generic: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pastas, grilled meats, kids menu and dessert. They also had a table d'hôte which we all ended up choosing. <br/><br/>- Green salad - boring. Dressing was a thousand island. <br/>- Tomato soup - better than the salad. You could taste the vinegar mixed in with the tomatoes.<br/>- Cod fish Portuguese style ($18.00) - served with pilaf rice and vegetables. No idea how this was labelled as Portuguese style. Easily the BLANDEST fish I've ever been served. No flavour whatsoever. Our waitress said it was grilled; definitely wasn't. Just awful. <br/>- Penne ($17.00) - sautéed with oil, prosciutto, red onion and dried tomato. Nothing special about this dish. You could make this better at home. Overpriced. <br/>- Pizza ($13.00) - pepperoni, artichoke, red onion, pepper and mushrooms. At least you can tell they make the dough.<br/>- Burger ($13.00) - cheddar, mushrooms and bacon with a side of fries. It was okay. I had a bite and would have liked the meat to be cooked less.<br/><br/>No clue why this place is popular. Found the food bland, boring and generic.

Really great ambience for an afternoon bite. I had the burger of the day which had cream cheese fried mushrooms and a mango ginger sauce which was amazing and light. Shared with my mom who had the Garage burger which was to die for just spicy enough. And I loved the mayo!!

My go to place. We eat brunch here all the time. It is a very laid back restaurant with great food and ambiance. The menu is pretty standard, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta but everything is done well. My favorite item is their burger. The kids love the spaghetti bolognese. Everything is priced just right. A plate of burger with fries is about $8. They also offer table d'hote that is very affordable.

I go there occasionaly, good price for decent food. SOMETIME the service sucks, but i think they got rid of that problem. Pasta, pizza and burgers are good :)

Best thing on the menu is the garage burger! It's a cute laid back little place w good service but better ambiance! Definitely worth a visit!

Great Salads. I like their salads. In particular, their smoke salmon salad was superb, far better than fares I've had downtown, including generous portions of smoked salmon.

Super découverte. J'adore l'endroit. Le rapport qualité-prix est très compétitf. J'ai mangé une super pizza à croute mince et mon conjoint un 4x4, vraiment bon. La table d'hôte semble délicieuse, la prochaine fois... Le meilleur bistro de Verdun selon moi.

Le menu est petit! La pizza goutais pateuse (sauce)! Le burger aux poulet etai du poulet rechaufer, il on oublier de mettre la sauce sur le burger! Cetais la deuxieme fois que jy allais et jai ete decu les deux fois! Le service etais vite. Je pense pas y retourner! Bonne chance
