The food is good, but whenever the restaurant is full, the staff straight up forget you. More than once, I went there and they were forgetting multiple tables, from ordering or paying for their meal. The staff just goes do their things it seems, and don't expect them to come to you unprompted if you are shy. I would recommend going when it's quiet to avoid this, or just be ready to call on a different server than the one assigned to you.

A lot of the other reviews mention service, so you can add this one to it. The food is fine (portions are smaller than what I expected) but the service is a true let down. We were an age waiting to order. The waitress dropping the food was pleasant. The waitress we paid with straight up left the card machine with us to do the card payment ourselves. She left the machine, walked off to deal with other customers. We waited two minutes for her to return and she never did so we just left after paying and left the machine on the table. There was no “goodbye” from any staff or similar. Just very odd.

We had a terrible time. The waitress demonstrated absolutely despicable behaviour. She was rude and did not attend the table well solely because we spoke English. That is not customer service if you don’t like your job and don’t want to serve the variety of people who come there to eat find something else. She didn’t deserve a tip and tried charging us for a gin and tonic we didn’t even get. The restaurant needs to reevaluate the individuals they are hiring. Makes me never want to come back to Montreal so congrats.

Literally the worst poutine I have ever had in my entire life. Supposedly this restaurant is supposed to do Belgian style fries which should be incredibly crispy and delicious. Instead I received blanched potatoes fully soaked in oil and covered in a small amount of toppings. This costs 17$! Absolutely terrible never ever going back again, and recommend everyone avoids this scam! I would sent someone to McDonald’s before I send someone to frite alors! Absolutely terrible! If I could give less than 1 star I would! If I could press charges I would! Lucky to still be alive after digesting all of those oil soaked French « fries » … *shudders*

Definitely a must try if you like french fries.
They ahe a wide selection of poutines and hamburgers as well.
If you're going to try the fries, make sure to select one of the mayonnaise.
Been going to this Frites Alors ! For many years, great for a date or with some friends.
It's located just next the metro Berri-Uqàm and its a perfect spot to have a quick meal before enjoying the evening downtown Montreal.

Really good place to have a meal. We found it by luck during our Montreal trip and got surprised about the choice we made.
It was hard to decide which burger to order, since all of them seemed to be delicious and made with the best quality ingredients.
Very good poutine and a wide range of homemade mayonnaise options were also great highlights of the restaurant.
