Review Point G - Montreal

Havane
Really good flavours and variety to choose from for a very reasonable pricing. They tasted very fresh which is great! Must try the pistachio and coconut flavours! Also, the lady who helped us out with our order was very sweet and genuineđź’—

A very nice place and good quality macaroons though bit on the pricier side. Also a very wide variety of flavours to chose from :)

Best macarons I’ve had! The worker who waited on us noticed French isn’t our native language and offered to speak English. We got the 6 macarons for $12, which is decent as they are tasty and well-made. The fillings inside were yummy and the buns of the macarons had the SNAP! that they should.

Excellent flavours and quality for macarons. The cookies look good too but we are too full to try.

I purchased these delicious treats to be shipped to Toronto, and absolutely loved them! Wonderful little macarons and excellent quality. Also shipped it to another friend who loved them as well. Will return as a customer, thank you!

Its a cute store, if you go there you'll probably end up buying macrons. The person who there is extremely helpful and nice. I got 12 different flavours out of which blue Monday vanilla was my favourite. Other flavours were also nice...but exotic not so much.

Beautiful store with great macaron dessert. Great gifts ideas

Point G is a classic spot for macarons in Montreal. The dark chocolate is my favourite and it’s not bitter at all. I also like the pistachio and hazelnut but I find it tends to sell out pretty fast. Overall, I’d say the macarons are one of the best in Canada but still not quite as good as Pierre Hermé macarons from France.

This place is the picture of perfection in everything they sell and do. The staff is great and the food is top notch... It’s so good. The wife and I drove 5 plus hours from the USA to Canada just to go there...

Une. TUERIE. (mariages, anniversaires)

This place is heaven on Earth! And I live just around the corner, so I have to be careful to not stop by every day. Best macaroons ever! Salted caramel is my favourite :-) highly recommended.

Found this place when I was on travel and craving a macaron- really great flavor selections, very fresh and delicious and the staff were incredibly helpful and patient! We did the 6 box and had a tasting back at our hotel loved all of them especially the chocolate and the hazelnut. Also compared to US prices they are pretty cheap.

Just saw this place on How It's Made. Bakers hand assembling and packaging WITHOUT ANY GLOVES. Disgusting.

Voici mon ancienne critique pour Point G:

«It is no doubt, the best macaron place in Montreal. Unique flavors... You won't want to share them! The gelato is also good (basilic lime mmm)!»

Les macarons demeurent les meilleurs, mais ils ne vendent plus de gelato, dommage!

Best macarons I've ever had! Better than ones in Paris. Amazing flavours, beautiful Colors, delicious flavours. Various flavours. Light and not too heavy or sugary.
But First, Dessert.
Cute little boutique with a great selection of Macarons. It's one of the best I have had actually. Very soft and chewy with just the right amount of flavour.

An egg white turned into a soft, sweet, delectable macaroon - Heaven! Flavours are varied from lemon to dark chocolate and choosing can be tricky because they all are delish! A good macaroon is not always easy to find, they can be grainy, not the case when you have one from Point G, it is pure bliss.I also purchased some of their unusual wasabi & ginger vinegar pearls. It was fantastic with scallops! They had lots of flavors to choose from.4 1/2 mmm's out of 5

... Point G is better than À la Folie because at Point G, their macarons are more gooey, chewy and juicy . I would definitely go back : For more awesome macarons Homemade Point G Ice cream in the summer Point G is best for : Pick-up or groups of 2 Its Gooey, chewy and juicy macarons even though they were a little more expensive than À la Folie Point G (what an ingenious name right?) 1266, ave Mont-Royal est Montreal QC H2J1Y4 Which is your preference? Titutitutlataa I couldn’t carry all my macarons so my Omma Cathy delivered them to me. Thanks Omma! About these ads Share this: Twitter

Wow!. I have had macaroons from many different places and have to say that Point G is the best. The caramel is incredible. The orange blossom blew my mind and the lemon.. so light and delicate. I was also over joyed to see my favorite French pastry the cannale for sale in the bakeshop. These are VERY had to find and I couldn't believe my luck in finding them. Unfortunately, these weren't as I remembered. These cannale had a burnt taste to them. Usually the sugar burns a bit on the outside and gives them a crunchy texture which play off of the creamy soft center. These had a rubbery sort of outside to them. After one bite I actually just threw it away. The macaroons, however, were outstanding.

Best macarons!. I never really liked maccarons until i met Point G

Amazing macaroons and gelatos! Think lavender blueberry or litchi macaroons and pineapple-basil gelato. Mmmm.. HOWEVER, the service was very mediocre, almost poor. It was our first time there so we were enjoying looking around at all the products and favors and the lady at the counter seems "blasé" and in a hurry to get it done with serving us. Plus she carelessly placed a macaroon in the box, breaking its outer shell (a real deal breaker for me). The price was a bit steep but totally worth it for the quality. Also, there are only two chairs inside unlike the many restaurants of the area that have a terrasse outside. So don't expect to sit down to enjoy the delicacies.

Bring wallet, leave smiling.. For the quantity you get, it's expensive, but the quality makes up for that. Damn good macarons and pastries in general. Every time I go in there, I'm tempted to order a custom cake.

Macarooons. These were not the first macarons I have had. I tried some at a few shops in Ottawa and Hull and these were as good. I liked the option of flavours and when it came to taste, it was good. Probably the second best I have had. For people in Ottawa/gatineau I recommend trying the little selection at fidélice, they are the BEST.

Macaron. It's good, but not the best, and it's a little bit expensive.
Matt Turnock
Pretty good macarons, but the highlight was the mohito sorbet. Lots of other interesting flavours too!

First macaron...and I loved it.. I went to the Point G to eat my first macarons. As we were sure we would like it, my girlfriend and I bought 10 of these delicious threats. I liked it a lot!

The "caramel and fleur de sel" was very nice. I really liked it. The service was quick and good, the cashiers were friendly...so overall, it was a nice experience.

Hits the spot. My favorites: the gold chocolate, lime & basic, griotte, vanille

I walked up the steps from Montreal’s metro station, disappointed to see the rain falling but not surprised in the least. As I opened up my black-and-white polka dot umbrella, I realized that this umbrella has seen all the cities I have this year :: it shielded me from pouring rain in New York City as I puddle-jumped down Fifth Avenue and kept me (mostly) dry as I wandered through the gardens of Nijo Castle in Kyoto , trying to snap photos with one hand and hold the umbrella in the other. And now, in Montreal, it was doing its best to keep me dry as I hunted down the famous macaron shop, Point G. I was determined to find the shop (regardless of the rain) so I could try a foie gras macaron. Yes, a duck-liver flavored cookie. Seeking refuge from the rain in style. I don’t actually remember the first time I ate a macaron. It may have been during my first trip to Seattle while wandering around Pike Place Market, when I snuck into a French bakery to escape the chill of the early morning

Il y a aussi plusieurs produits pour les gourmands qui voudraient essayer quelque chose d’autres (en plus de macarons). Vous pourrez y trouver des pépittes de macarons, des tartinades au caramel fleur de sel ou de la tire au cidre de glace.

SQUEAL IN DELIGHT!!! I finally got my hands on Point G’s macarons! How can I not be in excitement seeing all these colorful delicacy! Their packaging is full of cuteness and playfulness! I like it very much! It gives justification to how much I paid for…lol so I can feel better consciously…not really. The hardest part is to choose the flavors among all of them! I just stared at them blankly and mesmerized but how pretty they all look…sigh. Macarons, why do you drive me so crazy. Look at these beauties!! Aren’t they stunning?! Point G really made their macarons in perfect texture! I think so far, their texture is the best. However…the taste is another story… Flavors: Fleur d’oranger: Actually did not taste orange. More like floral. a sweet flower. Did not like it very much. Lime-Basil: It was weird. The fact that the basil was quite strong. I am not used to this. Pistache Grille: One of the best one I chose probably because I am more used to this flavor. I can taste the richness of the

Macarons are one of the tastiest treats I've ever eaten...These cookie/pastry-like sweets are not for those who do not like sugar. Maybe a little on the pricey side (essentially $1.50 per mouthful), but it's so good...mmmm, sugar. I've tried the ones at Point G, and they do not disappoint those who have a sweet tooth.

The consistency of the macarons definitely won me over. Not having tried many shops that make macarons in Montreal, I cannot confirm nor deny that Point G is one of the bests—though, they were good enough for me to want to return! Also, they’re pretty reasonably priced ($1.50 each).

What’s so great about macaron is the diverse variety they offer. From fleur de coquelicot to foie gras...
This Is Why We're Fat
this delightful shop makes some of the best macarons I've had to date.
FollowMeFoodie
It looked more like an American frozen yogurt shop than it did a macaron boutique, but it was recommended by Montreal locals as the “best macrons in the city” and I was satisfied!

The Salted Butter Caramel is amazing! We also got a taste of the apple foie gras. OMG!
