Great staff & Great food. 4 stars because their milkshakes taste very milky especially the oreo one.. it tasted like milk with whip cream and a cookie on top. The rest of the food was great. The quality is good and the portions as well. Some plates offer a bigger portion ans others smaller.

The wait was long but the food was excellent. Great place for people who love a big breakfast. I tried the truffled duck as a savory option and loved it. Flavorful & absolutely delicious. For a sweeter option I tried the caramelized banana with dates french toast and it was perfectttt. Overall a happy breakfast.

Definitely worth the wait. Fun, eclectic atmosphere, quick service, with huge portions! Tip: Best to go early and in groups of 2-4. Anything over, expect to wait nearly 2 hours as we did (had 5).

Breakfast was amazing. I had the cheddar apple bacon French toast and it was delectable. The sauce over the plate was a bit unappetizing to look at but it tasted great, and would highly recommend. The portions were huge too and I took one toast home for another great meal. My gf had the mix and match option with eggs, sausage and carrot cake pancake. She really enjoyed the meal, particularly the sausage and potatoes, but the pancakes were a let down. Still, we enjoyed our experience. Service was friendly and good, although food took a little while to arrive as they were pretty busy. We even bought a bottle of their hot sauce cause it was so good. The vibe is great, and would recommend for sure. The French Toast was sooo good.

Chic place for brunch! Everything taste awesome!! Each dishes are huge!! It’s so tasty so it’s good to save a bit for tomorrow to continue! Highly recommend Bobby dose Dallas! The sauce is divine!!!!

I’ve visited L’Avenue twice before this season, but went again a third time because I love this place. The waiter was very nice and generously showed pictures of all of his recommendations on his phone.
I ordered the Pink Salmon Benny plus an order of few more delicious food items.

Love the retro look they have going on in the restaurant and the washrooms have this neon lights which give it a whole different vibe!
The food here is great! The potions are quite generous and tastes nothing short of yumm!
We ordered the indecisive and Bobby does Dallas! Eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was cooked perfectly and freshly squeezed orange made the mimosas refreshing on a whole new level.
They are a bit on the pricy end.
Would definitely stop by for a brunch when I am in town!

My favorite breakfast place! Every time we visit, we always make sure to eat here. My fiancé and I always bring our friends and family who end up loving the place too. Everything about this place is amazing. It's no wonder why there's always a line; From their delicious watermelon infused water, to the food, and even the bathrooms, you can never go wrong by visiting this restaurant. I haven't had one thing i didn't like. I highly recommend this place.
Edit: we drive up from RI (USA) at least twice a year to eat here. The servers are so friendly so it adds to the experience!

Despite the place being full, the waitress gave us amazing service and the food came out quickly. I got the avocado toast and blueberry mimosa. I can see why this place was featured in Good Eats: fairly priced, delicious food, amazing service, beautiful presentation. There is always a line but it is worth the wait!

I fell in love with this place back when it all started, over 20 years ago, back when the waiters all had their colorfull style and personalities. Thru the years, L'avenue has been an evergreen, We used to crave their amazing potatoes and creative huge plates, giggle at the line up despite our strategic attempts to wake up earlier, and feel at home among a team of waiters that always had a smile and made it feel as if they really enjoyed serving us. 20 years later This place is still the best of the city for the quality of their unique menu, the vibe, and the atmosphere that will make you feel like a star even if it is 'just breakfast'

I had breakfast with my sister and her husband at L'Avenue Du Platte yesterday (17 Juillet, 2017). Could not get there on Saturday or Sunday due to the long lines out the door. Very good omelette and fruit skewer. If you ever have a meal at L'Avenue, DO NOT leave the restaurant without taking pictures of the bathroom. This a bucket list must do!
