3.5 really. the brunch menu is limited and, to my mind, overpriced, even if the profits are going to charity. i ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and that's what i got. a good, but not fabulous, grilled cheese with caramelised onions and a faint hint of bacon. no salad, no garnish, nuthin'. for something like 16$. and you have to go and pick it up when they call your name.
the stated mandate of the restaurant is to build community. the space is cavernous, and light, with scatter tables. it's not particularly friendly, more like a big library reading room without the coziness. I didn't feel like anybody particularly was interested in me when I gave my order or picked up my order. so there's a disconnect between the stated mandate and what feels like it's going on in that space. it is a huge challenge to try to create a stable environment with volunteer staff, and a worthy one, but so far I wouldn't say it is a full success. that said, it's worth supporting these folks for the good work that they do. and it's great to have a restaurant with edible food in our beautiful Parc Lafontaine.

My boyfriend and I went to Parc Lafontaine and wanted to pick up dinner from here. We ended up paying about 60 bucks for food that was not even close to worth it - poor selection, incredibly small portions, tasted like a grocery store deli. We felt completely scammed and ended up needing to have dinner at home.

Everything was perfect! The food is tastfull (duck and mountain side were delicious). Service is great! The concept (charity) is admirable!! A jazz bend was here and made the atmosphere unique. The interior design is beautiful! I highly recommend this place!

Volunteer staff base restaurant!! All the profit goes to help others. Great ambiance!! Excellent dishes to eat by yourself or with a friend. Live music and the have the stress away room (break your problems inside, recovering your peaceful face with some destruction) Enjoy!!!

It wasn't very packed when we came. We were greeted right at the door.The menu had various selections from vegan to no gluten but also tend to non vegan like myself. I chose a veggie burger with a side of poutine. I also ordered a vanilla latte. The poutine was good, a bit salty for my taste but so does all poutine. The cheeseburger was good. Tasty bread and sauce. The downside to this was the bread had gotten soaked in sauce which made the bread soggy so I had to eat it with fork and knife. The dessert I ordered(mi-cuit chocolat) was nice. It's served with melted (cold) caramel on the side as well as a scoop of vanilla ice cream all served on a cutting board sprinkled with cocoa powder.
The experience was overall good. They cater to parties, brunches, 5@7s, etc.
I will recommend and will come back if given the chance ☺

Great dining experience! The food is high quality ingredients with simple but very flavourful interpretations. Staff super friendly. A really cool vibe and decor. Not pretentious but hip. Gorgeous on a nice summer night with the entire facade open. Don’t forget to go dedicate and smash a plate, proceeds go to charity!

On a décidé d'aller à Robin des bois justement parce que ca sert une bonne cause et ca nous avait fait plaisir de savoir que même le staff était bénévole. Mais, on a était trés déçu par comment on s'est fait traiter par la superviseur du staff! On est aller afin de passer une agréable soirée, on a fini par manger de la nourriture de qualité en dessous de la moyenne et on s'est fait littéralement insulter par la superviseur parce qu'on nous a demandé notre avis sur la nourriture et on a était honnête. Bref, je comprends que ca sert une bonne cause, mais on est tout de même des humains qui viennent manger là-bas et on mérite un minimum de respect!

Can't say enough good things about Robin des Bois and its staff and volunteers. Had my wedding reception here and they went above and beyond (even making a cake for us because we didn't have one!). My guests loved the food. The fact that all profits go to local charities was the cherry on top.

Robin des Bois is a very charming restaurant. It has an upward decor and I especially loved the chairs with the foxes on them. I enjoyed very much my poutine. It is national poutine week so I had my poutine (a regional delicacy) that featured duck and red wine sauce along with the mandatory cheddar cheese curds. In case you don't know this dish, it is served on french fries. Just one small problem. I ordered a salad with it. Usually I eat the salad first. LOuckily the poutine looked so good I had some before. Then I went for my salad. It was eaten very quickly but by the time I got back to my main dish, the dish as very cold. It had lost all that savory zest that it had when first served. The reason I am mentioning this, is because I wondered why It got so cold so fast? Could it be the dishes it was served on? Anyways despite this relatively small problem, it was a really good lunch. And the proceeds went to benefit local charities, which was nice. «Just one word of advice. I thought that this restaurant would be relatively less pricey than most because the proceeds go to charity. This is not the case. Having said this if you want to pây for quality and ambiance, then this is a place to go, for sure.
