OMG our usual spot for a full breakfast brunch! A no brainer, it’s always delicious and filling for the day ahead ! Their brunch plates are well priced and full of food. Also love their fruit plates! They really understand what’s a breakfast fruit bowl! Fresh dragon fruit sometimes, pineapple, grapefruit, any in season fruits too !!! Amazing 🤩

This place exceeded our expectations! We are blown away! The food was DELICIOUS, I ate everything on my plate under 10 minutes. The portions are HUGE, the food is of QUALITY and the prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality. Their staff was professional and friendly, and they all seemed in good moods, which was refreshing to see. Also, they have a big dining space so there’s a lot of room to breathe even when it’s full of customers. There’s room for groups of any size! Bathroom was very clean and pretty if you were wondering. We will definitely come back here again. And again. And again. This is now my place of choice for brunch, and for quite anything I’d like to eat honestly—they have an extensive selection. We’ve tried their smoothies, breakfast, lunch and cocktails thus far and each time, we left satisfied and couldn’t wait to come again. Bring your friends, girlfriends and family! They’ll compliment you on your choice of restaurant! Cheers!

A lovely place for brunch near the La Fontaine park. Come along with your friends, family or colleagues to enjoy a quality, filling meal at this place! We were attended by two cheerful professional staff members 😁. You can choose between sitting out on a terrace or dine inside on a booth! We chose the second option and given today's windy weather, it turned out to be a nice choice 😃 A friendly suggestion: This place can have long queues in few minutes.. so kindly RESERVE your place!! Note: This place is not Vegan/vegetarian friendly as most of their items has egg in it.

Irish coffee was very Good. Fruit was fresh and sweet. Potatoes with herb were yummy. Sausage is definitely a must try !! I’ll be a regular customer in the future. This is a good spot for this neighborhood. ( Instead of giving toast, they provide baguette) 👍

Had a wonderful brunch experience. Great waitstaff, food prepared to perfection. All the best that Montreal has to offer. Without a doubt this will be a favorite for us whenever we visit.

Go for breakfast/brunch. This is a Montreal must-visit for me. Get a mimosa, or four. Take your time. The baguettes are fresh, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious and plentiful

Good seating. Breakfast and lunch options. Quite pricey, but big portions. No labeled vegan options, but meals can be made vegan by request. Coffee served with various non-dairy milk options.

I chanced upon this place as I made my way to Parc la Fontaine. Food wise, the breakfast portion was huge and really delicious. It was my first time trying cretons and I loved it. The food is well-priced for the (enormous) portion. In terms of service, it could have been perfect if not for one point. Was left standing at the entrance for close to 5 while not being acknowledged (1 pax in front of me), tho the place was relatively empty. Perhaps they were occupied, but since the entrance was by the cashier and there were customers paying there, an acknowledgement could make a difference. But, once service was offered, the atmosphere is different and they were patient and helpful, even when the crowd was coming in. I’ll definitely be back for more at this place :)

This place has amazing food. On top of that the best customer service. Everyone was friendly and full of smiles. The food was fresh and very good size portion. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the awesome service and food while I'm in Montreal.

Beau bistro de quartier, avec vue imprenable sur le parc Lafontaine et ses environs. L'endroit est chaleureux. Le service est sympathique, la bouffe est excellente et les plats sont bien présentés. Un incontournable quand je vais à Montréal.

One of our friends chose this place for catching up and trust me it was really good choice. The best things was they had ample choices for vegetarian food. All of us had veggie pastas and they were delicious. The extra cheese and pepper really helped.
Service - 4/5
Food - 4.5/5
Ambience - 3.5/5
Value for Money - 4/5

Been there many times. Always pick something from la Table d'hôte (entrée, main course and dessert): all fantastic, and under $20. Service is good, decor is fine.

In life, they say that the early bird gets the worm. It can also be said that it’s better late than never. To be honest, I don’t really know how this applies to the world of burgers, but I’ll figure it out someday. In this city, a place that gives you early or late options is very much coveted. Would that be the case at Bistro Tôt ou Tard?

What a good surprise! Good place, food was really good, décor is ok. Only problem, like all the plateau restaurant, it's the parking. So I really go on the plateau anymore.

Great, quiet place for very good food. Visited Montreal for the first time on a holiday Monday, and was looking for something moderately quiet and not fast food or diner-like, so I saw this restaurant listed on the food websites, and made the 10 minute walk from Berri-UQAM to check this place out.

Wasn't hard to find walking on Amherst-Parc LaFontaine (albeit slightly uphill), it's right at the corner with Cherrier. Main door is on the right through a pair titled Le Harrier.

Lighting is a little on the dark side, but plentiful, large windows compensated well on an early summer evening. Temperature was cool, but comfortable even on a hot day. Music was quiet, and I assume French (Canadian).

A little less than 10 tables were seated, and 2 at the bar, by the time I settled inside (was on the patio initially, but the wind picked up). Menus are all in French, but the two waitresses spoke good English and were helpful and courteous. Special menu ranged from $13 to $20ish with good variety (e.g. linguine, fish, beef, salad) and comes with dessert and coffee. Regular menu has sandwiches, wraps, starters, mains, pastas, seafood, etc. and a decent selection of wine and beer (domestic $6). Most dishes were $10 to $18.

Ordered the Sandwich Gourmand (grilled chicken), and the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Well sized on a crusty and soft ciabatta (toasted and buttered), and the garden salad was huge for a side. Not a connoisseur of olives, but the whole ones with the salad were much richer in flavour than those on my Subway sub. Balsamic vinaigrette was nice blend of sweet and tangy, and not oily. The ~3.5oz chicken breast was moist, and the tomato and onion mixture adds an edge. Slight knock on the bun having a hole in the bottom crust, so made it messier to handle. Nonetheless, tres bein for $11.

Men's washroom is small, one patron at a time. There is an accessible washroom as well.

By the time I paid, there were closer to a dozen tables, so the noise picked up, but at least a dozen others empty (not including the roughly 10 outside).

Watching the waitresses bring out other people's dishes, I often wondered how one average person could finish so much food. Then jealousy sank in on not being them to try. Maybe next time, and there definitely will be a next time.

What a prandial affair!. This restaurant is Montreal's best kept secret. The food is just like you would have back in France, the service is also excellent. Mireille and Christoff were simply awesome. We were a party of four; for a main meal, two of us had Mussels Marinara & Mussels Provençale, the others had Eggplant raviolis and Goat cheese salad. All came with a choice of soups...salad, coffee and dessert. The dessert was the best "crème brulee'" my friends ever had. One of my friends asked for a slight change to his ingredients, the waitress quickly obliged, something quite rare these days. At the end of the evening we were also able to watch the fireworks from our terrace seats. The total bill including a good bottle of Italian white....less than 25$ per person...Simply amazing...Montreal, do yourself a favor, try this place out...you'll go back...we certainly will.

Building a reputation. 100% or 99%:
Physical setup is fantastic.
Kitchen and management seem to know what they're doing.
Pricing good. (+ no surprises.)

80%: Server staff is not yet highly coordinated and sharp.
70%: Consistency in self-promo-marketing, menu items, prices.

The place was once the spot for another restaurant that drew huge crowds. Now, this restaurant is cleaner, has healthier food, at good prices, and every reason to succeed. Massive parking lot too, at Cherrier (side of Parc Lafontaine). So this is a good place to invite to, from far away.

Awesome food! Fast service, happy waiters. They give you a copulous amount of food! And they serve breakfast until 4pm, perfect for a late hungover brunch ;) conveniently located next to parc lafontaine! Worth checking out for sure.
