One of the best place for lunch that we have ever had. Aside from Portus 360 of course (same owner).
We were a party of 5 and immediately welcomed upon arrival and seated at the back corner of the restaurant.
We enjoyed the bread and their olive oil a lot, could have been better if the bread roll was warm. But it’s still good quality bread nonetheless.
We had all chosen the lunch set menu for $38. It comes with a starter + main course of choice and for an additional $10 for their dessert of the day.
Everything from their service to their food and ambience was great.
We had requested for the waitstaff to take a picture for us and he very gladly said “Bien sûr!”, they were PACKED, extremely busy and yet, their service is not rushed.
He even took several pictures for us and offered to take more if we don’t like the pictures he had taken. Thoughtful.
I’m mentioning this here because just last week, we lunched next door and asked for a picture for a friend’s birthday and was told “When I have time”.
Given everything, we will return again and again to Helena simply because they know what being hospitable is like and how to run a successful thriving restaurant.
P/S: They also accomodated my request for a little candle for our friend’s birthday happily. Not sure why their neighbour cannot offer even a small candle, but this means we will always come to Helena not just for their great food but also for their lovelty hospitality and service.
5* through and through, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Nice lunch service at Helena, the service was friendly enough although short staffed and as a result not very attentive. The food was good and included options such as fresh grilled whole fish. Lunch menu will set you back $70+

Perfect for business lunches or date night. The staff will adapt your menu if possible for your food intolerance (gluten free or lactose intolerance). Variety of wines available and a great lunch menu. Complementary bread is served with lunch. The food is fresh and prepared with care. The lunch menu is around 50$ (not including wine).

we ordered fresh cod filet (catch of the day) and the steak. The fish was very fresh snd delicious. But the steak, it was just normal. Nothing fancy about it.

Perfect experience in this restaurant I wanted to try new food so I chose this Portuguese restaurant, and guess what? The food was amazing they gave us a 5 course and it was so delicious and class. I loved the food, the way they serve it and the atmosphere. So romantic inside for a nice date evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone looking for a classy service.

Went to Helena with my boss and co-workers, the lunch set menu was amazing. The appetizer, main dish and dessert were very finely prepared. Highly recommend.

If there was 0.5 scores this restaurant would of gotten 4.7 for sure. Service was on point, pouring wine, soda and swapping out plates between tapas. Food was hot, well seasoned and not long to receive order. Chef Helena even took the time to say hi to a couple of tables including ours. My only reservation with this experience is that the kid/teen menu is non existant with limited beverages (juices) but we shared tapas and it was fine. Waiter spotted close to empty glasses and made sure they were filled, and offered complementary choices to existing orders. Churos for dessert are hot and delicious. Clean restaurant, staff wearing masks in the kitchen and at the door with hand sanitizer that smells great for a change. Good job Helena crew.

An absolute amazing fine dining experience.
We went there on a Saturday night for a date. We tried the exploration menu so we got to have from the top dishes on the menu. We were very full towards the end so took the rest to go.
Each dish was an artistic culinary experience. This restaurant is expensive, but it is expected for the quality of the food you are getting.
For 2 cocktails and the exploration menu for 2, you can expect a bill of around 280-300$.
The service was top notch, and there's even a complimentary coat check.
Wonderful experience for a special occasion.

Et je partage mon expérience d'hier .. j ai fêté mon anniversaire puis j ai eu du plaisir avec le staff serveur. Et hôtesse .. ils sont chaleureux .. j apprécie bcp Steve qui était au bar hier .. c'est une personne magnifique souriant.. Et professionnel Il a fait de ma soirée hier un succès..

It is very unfortunate to have a restaurant which serves great food BUT VERY DOUBTFUL SERVICE.
The waiter didn’t bring a food menu but only the vine card and a board with seafood meals. He told us it is a tapas restaurant and suggested us 4 different types of menus without mentioning any price or the detail of each menu. As we didn’t remember all the bla-bla-bla he said, we asked for the menu. We realized those menus are 70-90$ per person. We didn’t choose them and orders individual tapas and main courses.
When we asked for dessert, once again, no menu and no description were given but we asked for the price. The waiter said it is 10$. Yet! We got a not that nice surprise went we got the bill. It was actually 10$/person. We were 4 people. This dessert was served on ONE PLATE for 4 of us. It has 4 mini natas, 4 mini madeleines, 4 mini square of flan, 4 mini pieces of berry cakes and 4 mini squares of chocolate mousse. I hope you understand my description of how small this plate is and how much it is not worth 40$!
I just want to let the administrator know. You guys make great food but you’re losing clients because of how ambiguous your waiter is on your prices. Unfortunately, you guys just lost 4 potentially loyal customers!

Plat principal qui était la morue noire... Ben bonne... Mais j'ai du manger à nouveau rendu à la maison! La portion dans l'assiette beaucoup trop petite!

Sommes allés pour l' heure du lunch!Le plat principal a été reçu plus de 45 minutes après l' entrée...et tiède! L' amabilité à l' image du gérant sur place c' est-à-dire douteuse !
Première et dernière visite, heureusement il y a d' autres restaurants dans le coin!

Bon service, mais expérience gustative vraiment décevante. Nous avions beaucoup d'attentes envers ce restaurant et avions entendu de très bons commentaires! Nous avons essayé tous les plats proposés dans le cadre de l'événement ... les entrées manquaient nettement d'assaisonnement, seules les crevettes étaient goûteuses ! Les plats principaux sont tous arrivés froids ou tièdes. Nous avons dus les retourner en cuisine. Le filet de porc était nettement trop cuit ... la polenta accompagnant la morue était froide et desséchée, la macreuse avait bon goût mais sans plus. Les desserts proposés étaient bons et frais mais rien d'épatant pour la renommée du restaurant.
Beau décor, belle ambiance et bon service ... mais très déçus globalement !
Dommage peut-être est-ce en raison de l'événement ... nous n'y reviendrons assurément pas ... malheureusement mauvais coup de pub pour l'institution !

Soirée sublime. La nourriture était exceptionnelle. Que de saveur! Je me délecte encore. Nous avons été surpris par les généreuses portions. Nous avons mangé les crevettes géantes, salade de tomates, morue fraîche et morue noire.Le service était impeccable! Un désir constant de satisfaire les clients. Une amie nous avait recommandé l'endroit. Nous y retournerons assurément. Bravo à toute l'équipe!
