Yes it is expensive restaurants, but the question you should be asking is: Is it worth it? And for that the answer is: Absolutely. The food is fenomenal, the service very attentive, the ambient is contemporary and funcional. Expect some people to be dressed up, you will be seeing shirts and ties, but don't be shy and dress smart if you want, you won't feel judged. Hands down, the best tasting menu I've had in Canada. A must go if you are in Montreal.

Whatever you do definitely get the black sesame bavarois (3rd photo)!! It was one of my favorite things I've ever eaten. Also the wine pairings were impeccable and absolutely worth it.

Dinner, service and ambiance exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Toque for anyone who appreciates fine dining and exceptional cuisine with attention to detail, for a special evening. :) Desserts we enjoyed were lemon cheesecake & chocolate ganache - so tasty. My friend had the duck (pictured) - for the main, I had trout. Appetizers, drinks and all the extras were amazing.

Every dish of the tasting menu (7 dishes from starters to dessert) was magnificent and remarkably memorable in both the taste and the presentation.
Naturally, Toquè! has a comprehensive selection of wine with several interesting and not widely known wineries of Quebec - Gamaret from Domaine du Nival was a pleasant surprise.
All in all a great experience.
Looking forward to our next visit hopefully soon.

Beautiful experience with Toqué. Ambiance, service and food just phenomenal. We came here for our anniversary and it’s perfect. We love every single dish. My daughter love the Duck Magret, the minute she saw the dish she said she would like to have a second one right away. Thank you for such a great dinner with you. We will be back.

What a wonderful way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The food was divine. We did the tasting menu. Personal favorites, course 2 and 3, and of course dessert. But the best part was discovering that they had a non-alcoholic drink pairing for the meal which, as a non-drinker was a definite plus. The service was impeccable and the entire staff were knowledgeable about the courses they presented and very friendly. If you need a place to go for a truly enchanting dining experience Toque should be at the top of your list.

I really wanted to love this place - friends highly recommended it and the menu looked really fun. We arrived and we're met with stale bread. First course was two oysters which were good followed by super chewy octopus. I was unable to eat most of it and told the waiter politely it was too chewy. He did not offer anything else only said he would tell his chef (he never mentioned it again). Dinner was a fowl dish that was on point tender but so overwhelmed by a salty sauce. I got the bill with the octopus still on the bill and after asking why the waiter took it off the bill. I am not sure if my expectations were too high but this was sub par and not worth the money whatsoever. I guess I ordered the wrong items and the service was not what you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. Hope others have a better experience - I may have caught them on an off night.

Nous étions un groupe de 7 personnes et avons pris le menu 7 services. Le serveur était vraiment à l'écoute de chacun de nos besoins et spécialement de nos demandes particulières. Nous avons passé une magnifique soirée, le personnel est très discret, efficace et vraiment sympathique. Que dire du choix de menu, le chef a su bien réveiller nos papilles , c'était savoureux et une belle expérience à vivre. J'y retournerai avec plaisir avec mon conjoint.

If you’re a gay couple wishing to spend a good night at an open minded place on Valentine’s day in Montreal, don’t go to Toqué. The front desk staff gave us a really annoying look when my wife and I entered the restaurant. It totally spoiled my experience. We didn’t expect a $400 meal experience to start with a judgy look like this. The waiter was very friendly though. I don’t recommend this place.

I was waiting for the WOW factor. I was a party of one and the service was nice not overly attentive. I had the maget de canard the duck. It was tasty with a few veggies. Wine list is pricey and extensive. Nice ambiance but no background music.the nice surprise was the end of meal desserts on a rock..maple fudge and almond tart. Perfect. Dinner was pricey. I ..i woyld have been super impressed by a tasting memu that celebrates cqnadamight have considered to 7 course tasting menu if I had an idea of the courses. I sat beside a couple who had ordered it and their reactions to each course was priceless..underwhelming by their reactions. Given the Canadiana theme that I was expecting I would have thought 11 courses one for each province and territory might be interesting if they offered it. In comparison to the George resto in Toronto it fell a bit short for me.

A lovely evening. We where offered a table to replace our bar reservation but chose to sit at the bar and people and staff watch. Fantastic.
We ate ala carte and aske the bartender for wine pairings. All excellent.
Susan was very helpful to find us reservations at BrasserieT! For Friday evening. After dinner we were given a kitchen tour and saw Chef. Super!
We would highly recommend.

Ma conjointe et moi sommes allés pour son anniversaire. Depuis longtemps elle avait envie de vivre l’expérience du menu dégustation. Ce fut toute une expérience! Le service hors pair et des plats bien au delà de nos attentes! Ce qui nous a plu encore plus c’est le rythme parfait auquel les plats se suivaient! Une parfaite symphonie qui n’a rien laissé au hasard! La cerise sur le sundae: une carte d’anniversaire signée par nul autre de M. Laprise! Merci beaucoup pour cette aventure! Définitivement à refaire!

24 heures + tard et je recommence à avoir de l'appétit! Hier soir, nous avons goûté au menu 7 services et laissez moi vous dire que c'était cochon et orgasmique... chaque plat servi était sublime ! J'aurais aimé avoir la description par écrit .... A mon avis, chaque assiette contenait une trop petite portion pour le prix total de la facture ! Pas assez de homard monsieur le Chef ! Ce fut un réel délice vraiment !

Excellent repas hier. Cela dit c'est la 1ère fois que dans ce genre d'établissement on ne me propose pas d'apéritif avant de commencer le repas. Le chef est excellent mais le restaurant manque cruellement d'un vrai chef pâtissier...

Attended a business dinner in the private dining room. Wonderful fixed menu, I enjoyed the princess scallops, the venison tenderloin and the molasses cake. Every bite was balanced and flavourful. Service was attentive. And we benefitted from access to Chef, and treated to a tour of the kitchen and cellar. It was a wonderful evening. I look forward to coming back soon!
