Review Ristorante Quattro - Montreal

Had a wonderful dinner here! From the moment we walked in we were acknowledged very pleasantly. We were seated and greeted quickly. Our server(s) we’re helpful in menu choices and pleasant to chat with. You can tell they work as a team in this restaurant and have a great system. Food was great, as per recommendation. Had the Caesar Salad & Burrata. For dinner we had the Cavatelli Speck e Porcini & Spaghetti allo Scoglio. Both were fresh and flavourful. Ended dinner with celebratory cannoli. Will return!

Very Nice place to spend the evening. Staf and owner are the best. We are from Belgium and it turned out that the father from the owner worked his whole life in Belgium. The food was super and the whine was excellent

Seriously DELICIOUS food! As an Italian, I never go to Italian restaurants because I'm usually let down. But after reading many, many great reviews and recommendations, we tried this place out for a friend's birthday. It was FANTASTIC! Every meal was delicious and full of flavour, the desserts were scrumptious and the service was great. Highly recommend!!!

I really enjoyed it! Food was delicious, and the portions are definitely fair for what you pay. They also have the option to make the pasta gluten free, which I think is great because that’s pretty rare. The place has a nice cozy ambiance, and the servers were sweet. If you like pasta especially, I’d recommend.

The restaurant was okay. My first bite of my arancini it was still frozen, which is unfortunate. There were two on the plate and the second one was fine. The pasta was really good, however. A good portion for the price. The cocktail didn’t really taste like much either - I had a tequila sunrise - it tasted like juice. The service was fine, but nothing exceptional.

We ordered a variety of appetizers, pasta, and risottos. Food was solid/good but not more - I'm a little puzzled by some of the raves. Expense outpaced quality; sticking with the prix fixe menu would offer more reasonable value. Our server was very friendly, professional, and efficient, but nearly alone working a crowded room, and we were told they had only one chef. Service was predictable quite slow as a result. They appeared to have a pretty decent selection of red wines but many fewer whites (and no half bottles, and only three uninspired by-the-glass choices) which falls well short of what a fairly expensive seafood-focused place really should offer. In short, it's a solid slightly above middle-of-the-road Italian joint priced as if it were at least a notch up on quality.

Oysters from the Atlantic Ocean, crisp and sweet , A strong taste of the sea. Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice , Wonderful!

fantastic experience. highly recommend the truffle pasta. service was incredible (a little slow but the place was packed so it’s to be expected.) bill was a touch high but in my opinion 100% worth it. everything was so delicious including the complimentary bread. absolutely will return every time i come to montreal.

Amazing!! The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly. The pasta was al dente, perfect, not fake al dente. The seafood in the pasta was just the right balance. The tiramasu was perfect. Higher end, but totally worth every penny.

My wife went there on a Saturday night with no reservations. The owner came over and told us he would have a table for us in a few minutes - which he did!! The food was amazing and the staff was very helpful. All in all it was a very enjoyable dining experience. Would definitely go there again

Both my girlfriend and I each had the risotto and we both very pleased with the taste. Prices were a tad high but all in all would recommend this to anyone looking for a fine Italian dinner.

I felt like having Italian food for dinner tonight, so I headed into the old city after finding Quattro on my Zomato app. The restaurant was relatively quiet around 6:15, but slowly started filling up and getting reasonably noisy. This included the occasional singing outburst of the manager (owner?), mostly one or two lines of various Italian songs.

I ordered the Tagliatelle from the fixed price menu ($27), which came with soup or green salad, the main course, coffee or tea. In addition, at the very beginning, they brought out a single taste of bruschetta, to get your appetite going. The manager/server offered to substitute Caesar salad instead of the green salad, and I accepted. It was one of the better Caesar salads that I have had, where there was just the right amount of dressing. Some places simply add too much dressing.

Then it was on to the Tagliatelle, cooked to a perfect al dente, with a variety of vegetables and a light cream sauce.

Since tea (or coffee) was included, I jumped off the deep end and ordered Tiramisu. What a treat. Light and airy, and not too sweet.

Including a beer, tax and tip, the total came to just under $60. Not the cheapest meal, but definitely an enjoyable one.

Went to a lot of restaurants in Montreal. This one by far the best. Very authentic Italian. Was told to order the penne with truffle oil and was paired with an amazing wine, and we were at the bar. A must visit.

Nice setting for a good meal. Staff very helpful and attentive and knowledgable about wine list. Paid attention to dietary allergies. Gluten free alternatives but could be extended to breads. Pasta was fresh.

I visited this restaurant only a few weeks after returning from Rome, Italy. I was very surprised to find authentic Italian tastes in Old Montreal! Their mushroom risotto was very delicious and and recommended. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful when we were making our dinner decisions. I'd definitely go back for a romantic dinner or when I crave authentic Italian!

Had the breaded veal which was good. Would have been even better with some marinara sauce on it. Friendly service. Gluten free options.

A+ Pasta. We knew it was a pricier place when we came, but Quattro did not disappoint. The seafood linguine we ordered was the best I've had in a very long time. The sauce was rich without being overwhelming, and the linguine itself was perfectly cooked to the right firmness.

Class. It was a very relaxed and elegant place. The food and service was very good, I enjoyed my experiences here. It's nice to find a place to have a calming session.

8 gymnasts DINE REAL FINE!. We came across Quattro via Urban Spoon and it was just around the corner from our hotel. All 8 meals were fantastic! My favorite was the evening special - Pulled Pork Rigatoni. I also tasted the Calamari appy - grilled not deep fried so had the hint of charcoal. Again delicious. It was a special evening out for the team, so we were lucky to dine in style. Our host was so entertaining for all the girls. We were a group of 8 so were put in the back where the larger tables were, but I could see how the romantic tables for 2 were all in the front part. I would return again for sure! F

Terrific.. We has dinner at Quattro last night. I was simply the best pasta I have ever had. Homemade, of course. Nice ambience, efficient, non-pushy waitstaff. If you go to Montreal you MUST go to Quattro.

Very Enjoyable!. We came here after visiting Quebec City, where we had some exceptionally nice food at Il Motto....Quattro is not Il Motto, but the ambiance is very pleasant, the proprietor chatty and sincere, and the food quite good! Anyone interested in very good Italian food would do well to visit Quattro in Vieux Montreal. We enjoyed grilled calamari, gnocchi, Grilled Halibut, and linguine e frutti de mare....all very good. My one suggestion to management...get the very large cups for lattes, not glasses,;it's a nicer touch.

Excellent food and atmosphere. We had a great experience. Our food was delicious and Francesco, one of the owners, made our experience even more enjoyable. We loved his energy and passion for what he does. I had the veal scallopini with puttanesca sauce, my husband had the veal chops. We finished our dinner with cappuccinos and a delicious cannoli. I strongly recommend it!

Good food - Wine Prices too high. Nice place. Food is good. $11 for a glass of white house wine? Not good.

Cozy Italian spot for a special occasion. Pasta pleurotte with veal ragu was great! Cod fish was very nice. TIramisu/Chocolate souffle - delish. Service was very accomodating (they aim to please) and efficient considering they had to serve a very large group and several other tables. Ambience was lively without being too loud. Great music in the background. Will return for sure !

Great food, great atmosphere!. On the particular night we went, Quattro had 3 big parties going on at the same time. Nonetheless, service was good, the food was fabulous and the setting lively but very enjoyable. The owners were very personable and seem to be passionate about what they do.
All in all - great experience! We will definitely return!
