This place is absolutely amazing. We got the beef shoulder and the mac and cheese with ham. Both are to die for. The service was impeccable and I'd recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to the staff for a memorable evening. Cheers!

Delicious, high quality food with lots of flavour and made with love. Sylvia, the enthusiastic and friendly owner, treated us like guests in her home or family, being really accommodating with several food restrictions and making sure my girlfriend was able to enjoy a meal without worry. Speaking of family, that is sort of a core to the restaurant, as the owner has a few members of the family that work with her, and there are three women who are sisters who work there too. The creamy onion soup I started with had a good amount of spice, thanks to the addition of a house hot sauce, a specialty of her brother. The bread with it is made in-house daily by her mother. My main was the fois gras with ginger bread and duck magret. Savoury, sweet, salty all at once with a variety of subtle flavours from the bread and clementine marmalade. I tried some of the sous-vide beef and it was tender, seared on the outside and incredible with the red wine sauce. I will have to go back for the calamari with risotto and chorizo which is accompanied by pumpernickel bread (also made there, of course) which I also got a taste of. Oh, and the decadent sounding mac and cheese, as well as the pork belly--their signature dishes. The 'cheesecake' in a glass dessert I had to finish was also quite nice. It seems most on the menu are fairly rich foods that would likely go extremely well with wine pairings, but unfortunately I am allergic to alcohol! Oh, also I will note that as of the time of this review, there is a huge and beautiful painting of and in honour of David Bowie (painted by Sylvia's sister Rachel) on the wall; at least until someone buys it. So anyway, Robin Square: a convivial experience, and in the top ten of TripAdvisor restaurants for Montreal for a reason.

My favorite spot in Montreal is Le Robin Square. Using their surname for the restaurant name, the the Robins make wonderful food and are incredibly warm and welcoming. I have tried the sous vide beef, the pork belly and the mac & cheese. All of them are worth recommending and arguably worth going out of your way to track down. Their website shows that they have completed a move that they were planning the last time i visited (November 2017). I look forward to checking out their new digs and confirming that the space to spread their wings has made them even better. The menu works to be particularly Quebecois from the beer selection to the desert offerings, featuring lots of local ingredients all used to highlight their best qualities. They have a local dessert made of white cake and maple syrup that does not sound appealing but is super tasty. Take your time and try everything you can because it is all worth it.

We had to wait for a table at first, but it was well worth it. We had the Mac and cheese as well as the pork belly. It was so good! Sweet and savory mixed so harmoniously, it was incredible. After a long night the day before a big day of travel this was such a good find. I will recommend this place to everyone back home. We even enjoyed this maple flavored dessert which tasted so much like homemade pancakes on flavor steroids. The brownie gouache dessert was also well done, and thoroughly devoured.

One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The food AND the service are immaculate. A family owned establishment where they treat you like family every time you walk through the door. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an experience out of the ordinary. Oh... The mac and cheese... enough said.

We are vacationing in Montreal and we visited Robin Square our first night in town. It was so good that we came back two nights later. Both times we indulged in the Mac and Cheese. The cream of onion with smoked jalapeño is among the best soup we have ever had. We partook in that both nights as well. We then tried the Burratta Cheese on Fresh Pizza and then the Ultimate Experience respectively. Both of which were spectacular. What was probably the best part was how welcoming Sylvia (the owner) and the staff made us feel. It was like we were guests in their home. They treated my 10 year old son like a king, and that goes a long way. Absolutely try Robin Square! The establishment is smaller so there may be a wait, but it's well worth it. Cheers folks!! PS: An amazing portrait of Bowie (ala Ziggy Stardust) hangs on the wall, painted by Sylvia's sister that is breathtaking.

Consistently the best culinary and dining experience. Chef Red's ability to build upon his Quebecois culinary roots and design and produce new creations regularly and consistently is amazing. EVERY dish is a treat for your eyes as well as your pallet. Every person on staff makes you feel as part of the family, and the overall dining experience is a joy. Don't make the mistake to pass this place up, find the time, make a reservation now as there is typically a line out the door and down the sidewalk. They recently moved down the street (across from City Hall) to expand the seating area, which still isn't big enough for the public demand of this exceptional dining and culinary experience.

Best food I've ever eaten in my life. We were able to get a seat immediately, and were quickly impressed by the staff and the drinks. Nothing could outshine the food, however; we had an incredible meal of beef sirloin and calamari. The desserts were also amazing. Can't give this place enough stars!! I wish we were staying in the city longer, just so we could come here again!

My husband and I appreciate great food. This beautiful little restaurant did not disappoint. We shared the pork belly, the risotto chorizo calamari and the pizza. The combination of sweet, spicy and rich flavours was fantastic. The wine was great, service was excellent, accommodating our 10 month old baby girl and the ingredients of beautiful quality. I forgot my shades there and they even saved them for me so I can get them back. Highly recommended.

The menu is short but don't worry...there is something for everyone. Everything we tried was beautifully executed. Flavors were on point and the service attentive and yet not over bearing. Truly enjoyed our experience!!!

Delicious!! The only thing better than the food was the energetic and very personable staff. There are only about 30 seats in here so it is very intimate. There is a line out the door but don't let that discourage you. Worth the wait!!

Une copine m'as recommandé lors de notre visite à Montréal. L'emplacement est idéal et l'ambiance est formidable. Nous étions 4 personnes et avons choisis plusieurs plats à partager. J'ai hâte d'y retourner.
