Review Maverick's Steakhouse & Grill - Moncton

Been a little while since my wife Pat and i have been here. Being a lifetime lover of the western world i thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere here. Enjoy the rustic setting. Upon being seated i ordered the second largest size of beer in a glass (only 2 bucks more). Pat was satisfied with the water provided. I ordered the curly pasta with crunchy bacon bits smothered in creamy sauce and topped with cheese (Mac & cheese). Tasted Devine. The cornbread was a delightful addition to my meal. Pat ordered the sizzling burrito and we were both delighted hearing it coming before actually seeing the sizzling plate. Pat was excited about the abundance of delicious accoutrements served with the provided meat. She took great care in loading her tortilla and then wrapping it tightly. Waiter was kind enough to check on us a we dined. Overall great experience and a joy to have dined here. Pat was thankful that the size of her meal entitled her to enjoy leftovers next day. We were made to feel welcomed beginning from the employee who opening the front door for us, being welcomed inside and being shown to our seat. Attentive waiter, brisk server upon delivering our meals, courteous follow up and finally, the payment of the bill.

It was great! I came here before and it never disappoints. Great service. Big portion. Just tried their Beef rib. Yum yum yum! so good.

Food was amazing and great drinking options. Nice atmosphere. Service was good too!!

We went there for a birthday meal for my granddaughter. 3 adults and 3 young ladies. The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Thank you, everyone involved, especially Trevor.😊

Food was good. Service was not the best it could be: fast, but too fast. Feeling the pressure to leave when our plate where not completely finished. Probably just a bad day. Clean place.

What you'd expect from a major chain - they do some things great and others not so great. Burgers were delicious, wings were tasty but the ribs were stiff and dry - a disappointment given the nature of the establishment!

The best part of a long terrible day was the food and beverages at Montana's. When the food arrived it looked and smelled delicious. I ordered the tasters platter and had already dug into it before taking my photo. The cornbread didn't last long. Yum! It was a nice addition to the meal.

What a great place to eat! Ribs were excellent along with the rest of the meal. Couldn't eat it all and I had a regular size plate! I really enjoy a beer with my meal when dining out. And was not disappointed with two ice cold Although over full I tried a hot donut with sugar on top served with a chocolate sauce. Perfect. I will starve myself the rest of the week

Decided to go with a group of 10 on NYE, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. At the time of reservation, they did not advise they only had a partial menu (only 4 or 5 choice for their meals). I ordered Bruschetta for appetizer ($10.95) which was really delicious, and ordered a Filet Mignon for the main meal (7oz $39.95) with Peppercorn Sauce ($5). There was no option for bigger size, I usually get a 10oz for that price. When the plate arrived, the waitress misplaced the orders and gave me someone else plate, she noticed once she arrived with the other plate that I had the wrong one. I did not find that the amount I paid matched the ratio of food on my plate, the plate looked empty (see photo). Furthermore, we ordered soft drinks with our meal and they only arrived once I had finished my plate in total, when we asked the server where they were, she stated that the bar was really busy. All and all, food was good but small portions for the amount paid, and service was ok not excellent. I would definitely not plan another trip to Mavericks, for the amount we paid we could have had a way better meal at Osaka Hibachi and would have had like 2 the food on the plate. My recommendation is to go to Osaka Hibachi or Keg Steakhouse. I would even go as far to say that a 2 hrs and 30 min drive to Baton Rouge in NS would have been more worth it as it is far more excellent.

Ate at mavericks for valentines this year. Steaks were terrible, and not cooked the way it was ordered. Potatoes dry as a popcorn fart. Picked at bits of the meal and informed the waitress that the meal was terrible. Only acceptable part of the plate were the veggies (aside from potatoes). Other than apologizing to us for us not enjoying our meals, we were offered dessert which we declined because we didn't want dessert, we were delivered a $150 bill (including 3 glasses of wine). This is the worst restaurant for your money in the entire city of Moncton as far as I can tell. Avoid at all costs

We went to brunch January 14th, it had been a while since our last visit and I was happy to see that everything was just as good as we remembered. I love my pink mimosa, it is such a nice treat at the end of the week. I missed out on the beef dish, it was empty when I went to the lunch side of the buffet but the eggs Benny was hot with extra hollandaise and I scored cream puffs for dessert. Our server Brittany was very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. It was a nice relaxing meal for my husband and I to catch up after a busy week. It is always the quality that brings us back. Alot of buffets just sling out whatever they have left over from Sat night, these guys take the time and effort to prep food just for the buffet and make sure it is hot and fresh and tasty!

Keg prices, Swiss Chalet quality steak. My steak (filet mignon) was rare, not medium rare as requested and his steak (New York strip loin) was thin and covered in terrible bbq sauce and a cheese slice. Potatoes (twice baked and mashed) dry, lumpy, and tasteless. Vegetables were average .. but best thing on the plate. Left confused and disappointed

Amazing experience! We booked a private room for my parents birthday and the restaurant was so accommodating. They let us in early to set up and the waitresses were quick to get anything we need. They didn't get frustrated with our large, loud group, but instead had great attitudes and kept us laughing. Thank you so much - my parents will remember it forever! Great food, great place. Definite five stars!

We were there yesterday for Mother's Day, waitress was really nice and friendly she always made sure we had something to drink, the buffet was awesome, really no complain at all, best place to go for Mother's Day. Thanks for the good service and really good food, see you all next year. �

Food was amazing. I had the steak bruschetta as an appetizer and for my main course I had the halibut. Prices might be a bit more than for example a Montana's but so worth it. And ooohh their Mars cheesecake is to die for.

We had my husband’s 50th birthday party here and used the private room; we were 27 people. Perfect location. We were‘t rushed and had the room for as long as we needed. Service was excellent (thank you Ann Marie), food was plentiful portions and very good. Absolutely no complaints. We were allowed to bring our own birthday cake as well and she made sure there were small tables set up for the cake and a gift table as well. If you’re looking for a place to host a gathering, this is the perfect option.

For a first timer it was great, we got a little confused at first, we had to enter through the hotel and not the "Mavericks" door. Excellent selection of breakfast items, the dinner side didn't have much that interested us, not that it wouldn't appeal to others though. A little embarrassing opening the food warmers and the cover fell off not sure if it was broken, or just not put back on properly, our server was vigilant without being intrusive. Lines move a little slower than we are used to, but that has nothing to do with the restaurant. All and all we will go again... and thanks for choosing my wife as a winner for the free brunch :)

The food is really good here but I went with my 2 sons a little over a week ago our waitress forgot to put our order in and we waiting and waited while other people around us came after got there food and some were even done before we got ours she apologized and offered us 1 free dessert well 3 of us had to wait not just 1

Mavericks was one of my favorite spot to eat on special occasions my last 2 visits since Jan were ok but yesterdays visit was bad..We had bruchetta and spinach dip as appetizers(really good) our main course was not fit to be served. 3 of 4 filets mignons were under cooked and the twice baked n veggies tasted sour ..I did not eat my food .The server took a big 10%off and gave me a free dessert which it was not the one I wanted cause they were out of my.1st choice.I had to work 2 1\2 to pay for that meal.Really disappointed and I will be not returning.The server did her best.

Worst food ever rolls were stale.I've made better food at home and I can't cook fries were still frozen ribs were hard on the outside and raw on the inside I paid for a cocktail and got 1/2 and empty glass and was never offered a glass of water and my waitress had no custom manners I never complain but god this was the worst all around experience I've ever had anywhere

I won the Facebook Brunch for Two and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict and the baked beans were the best � So easy to find , right off of the highway. We'll be back !

Went there a couple of times while when staying in the hotel for business - great place, friendly bar staff, and the food was amazing - would sure visit again in the future!

Staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was very nice, the food was awesome! Will definitely be coming back!

If you have another choice don't eat here! Too pricy and bad quality. There was dirt in the mussels. The pasta was too salty- too tasteful. The breakfast hash browns are very oily. The Benedict sauce is super salty.

Waisted Time. After more than 40 minutes and getting my own drinks at the bar (with a return because of lipstick on the rim), we finally get a half attentive waitress, after my wife sakes for service from another table attendant. The waitress apologied for not seing us!!!! The order is taken without any customers' service, and forgetting to ask what orders we would like. I did correct her asking a side order a Caesar salad with my steak. A side order means you still want the main dish, right? Wrong! Not at Maverick's! Croutons are rock solid, perfect to break a tooth, I did not dare taste one. The steak, New York, was tenderized with lots of tenderizer, yet still hard to chew... I felt the need to drink a lot of water due to the exteme content of salty tenderizer still on the meat. I did not finish my meal... I regret choosing this restaurant for this evening supper, and shall not return to this establishment.

And we read the poor ratings online and still came to the restaurant with an open mind, but sadly lived up to its below average reviews.<br/><br/>When we arrived we were greeted and as she was getting our menus, she answered the phone and left us standing there. After 5 minutes another girl came and brought us to our table.<br/><br/>Sat 10 minutes before being seen<br/>Was there with our kids 4 yr old 6 yr old, no paper or crayons were brought we had to asks.<br/>Got bread before drinks<br/>Calamari was chewy and rubbery and the bruschetta had no taste.<br/>Had 2 cheese pizzas for the boys the boys would not eat them, the cheese was dripping with oil.<br/>California burger was tasteless and very greasy my wife and I each had a bite and left it in the plate, the beef fajitas were ok but again very greasy and oily.<br/>All through our meal we had fruit flies orbiting around our heads and a full on fly kept landing in our plates, bear in mind this is January.<br/><br/>All and all very disappointed and did not take any left overs, definitly do not recommend this restaurant.

First time here was on our honeymoon in August 2013. My husband I both had the steak and lobster tail with garlic mashed potatoes. Both were delicious. The appetizer was dissappointing however. The seafood combo was over priced for thw quality. The ceasar was delicious and the pickled bean was a nice change. The waitress was nice but we waited over 45 minutes between our appetizer and entree.

Excellent Service by Maverick's Steakhouse. I go to Mavericks about once a month. Finally, I thought, I enjoy it so much there I should start writing about my great experiences. It's always a great atmosphere and I love the servers. They pay attention to detail and the food is fantastic. I had the SIierra salmon cooked on a cedar plank, it was very tastey and i had the Rice Pilaf which was better than I've had anwhere else!<br/>Great Job!

Surprised this wasn't a Chain. Located in the Future Inn that I was staying at. Overall, the food does taste a bit like a chain restaurant, but the slightly higher quality of the seafood makes it a bit better. Thought it was overpriced though. <br/><br/>Ate there on two occasions, enjoying the seafood chowder which is very rich and buttery, but good. The Shrimp and Scallop brochettes were very good, nicely presented. And lastly the baked Halibut with Mango/Corn Salsa, I thought was a little bland, but grew on me a little bit at the end. The service was good with a good atmosphere. When eating at the bar, it's nice to chat with other out of towners.
