Review Sahtain - Mississauga

I was in the mood for Shawarma and I stumbled across this restaurant on Google ( Where else right? ). The first thing that you can notice or smell is the nice aroma from the Gyro spit. That is a good sign of freshness. But my order was not cut from the Gyro...no worries here. I ordered the chicken Shawarma combo with fries and a drink = $12.83 taxes incl. The shawarma tasted quite fresh and well seasoned. I was not overwhelmed by the condiments and dressings etc. So I found it quite enjoyable. The meat was succulent and not dry like in many other Shawarma places. The fries were nice and golden brown. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had an option to have garlic sauce or other choices of sauce on my fries. But I like to eat my fries plain so I can judge its crispiness and overall taste without being overwhelmed by toppings or sauces. These fries were fantastic as is. This is a local business, so I do like to lend them my support. My only pet peeve was that perhaps they should if they can, leave the front door open or turn on the AC. It was sweltering inside the restaurant. Today was unusually warm for this time of year and I was barely able to hang on for dear life while was in there ( and I like hot weather over cold too !!!). With a mask on, it made it quite uncomfortable. But that has nothing to do with the food or the service which are both memorable. Please drop in and let us all know what you think.

Great place for shawarma, we tried the chicken shawarma plate, chicken shawarma wrap, and the poutine. Loaded with lots of chicken, and great tasting garlic sauce. One of the better shawarma I've had in the area.

Yummy food though the portion is a bit too much for us. Highly recommend chicken shawarma and mixed grilled skewers

I love the shawarmas and half and half chicken here. I normally order chicken shawarma or vegetarian falafal wrap. Prices are super affordable compared to other Mediterranean restaurants. Its never crowded. I like the taste. Employees are super warm. Its not a fancy place at all but it has good value for money.

Been living here for two years; had it not been for the reviews on here I never would have tried it. It's hidden and the plaza is less than appealing but I'm really happy I gave it a shot. The absolute Best chicken shawarma plate I've ever had. It's the seasoning and time it spends on the spit. Amazing flavour. Place feels like a neighborhood secret but really worth the try.

Family and I decided to try a new shawarma place on a whim! Man! Am I happy we did. This restaurant is tucked away in the Battleford plaza, and while you can miss it if you're in a rush, you're going to want to slow down and try it out if you're craving good food. It is much tastier than the other franchise shawarma places in the area. We got the chicken shawarma and chicken souvlaki. Both were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The salad was also very fresh. Portions are good and the price is too. All this combined with friendly service makes this a place I will definitely be returning to! Just a heads up...like many restaurants, due to pandemic it might be wise to call ahead if you're planning on visiting in the evening, as hours might vary.

This is my favourite shawarma spot in Mississauga. The chicken shawarma is fresh and flavourful. The plates are big and worth the price. The wraps are always filled well with toppings. They don't skimp.

Food was amazing and they showed us really great hospitality! Chicken shawarma and the rice are 10/10. I will definitely be going back the next time I am in the area.

Good food and friendly staff/owner! This is prob my favorite Shawarma place in Mississauga. Good selection, but also the food is well done with good portions. The owner/staff are also really friendly. They genuinely seem to really care and you can see that in the quality of the food and how it's prepared. I also enjoy how the Greek Salad and comes with these little chips on top, just a really nice touch. The owner offered for us to try a piece before he even gave us the food. Overall I definitely recommend.

This place is awesome. Delicious, consistent, quick, and well priced. They have a good system and they are always on point. Wraps, platters, garlic sauce... its all good, all fresh. And the service is excellent; the owner is always welcoming and smiling. Keep up the good work.
