We go there regularly , this place is awesome . We've tried other sushi places around the square one area but by far the best one we find
Great Place!. We came here as two people in our party had already been here and had recommended it. We came on a Friday evening at around 6:30 pm. It wasn't too busy and we were given a booth right away. The style of the booth was very nice; it was private with a button for a bell on the inside whenever you needed service. Just a word of advice; there are no coat hangers on the inside or outside of the booth. We were given menus and we wrote down what we wanted. It was AYCE so there were tons of items to choose from. We placed our orders and out came the food little by little soon after. We were impressed with all of the food and how delicious it tasted. We thought the servers were nice as they came to collect our plates often and also fill up our water glasses. For dinner, it was about $21 per adult however, it is cheaper at lunch if you prefer to pay less. I would come back here in a heartbeat! The food was good and for the price, it was worth it!
Just had lunch here! It was fast, prompt and delicious. I only have an hour lunch, so on a time crunch, but was out in good time. A great step up from UMI sushi, the previous owners. Fresh fish! Mmmm, I will be back!
Very fast service and fish tasted fresh. Big improvement over previous Tenants. Would wat again!
Fantastic place! The service is prompt, courteous and impeccable. The atmosphere is so wonderful with the traditional Japanese booths and privacy. The food is TOP NOTCH we are making it our regular favourite restaurant, with the 10% cash discount and great prices. It is a real treasure! :)
Bring good company to add to the atmosphere!. This AYCE recently opened a coupla months ago. It's sorta cursed unit - quick turnover rate - so I was quite hesitant in trying this place out, but decided to give it a go!
Dinner on a Saturday evening was $22/pp, excludes drinks. Place was half-full with a coupla people doing take-out. Since place and I'm assuming staff are new, they sorta lingered a bit, waiting for our first order. Food came out in a timely manner. Ordering was easy, just mark off items and amount you want.
Minor irk: Only pencils were included...with no eraser. So I had to try and amend my order with the stump that was left of the eraser on the top of the pencil. :(
Everything ordered was more or less decent for AYCE quality. Salmon sashimi was a bit too cold, albeit fresh. "Crispy tofu" (or whatever the app was called) was actually deep fried pressed bean curd as opposed to an Agadashi Tofu-type dish.
I didn't order too much of these type of sushi, but anything that was "spicy" had a bit too much sauce. Spicy sauce was actually SPICY, so be forewarned. Even though I *love* spicy salmon at other places, I wasn't too fond of their "house special spicy sauce" which is a shame because this is a staple whenever I do takeout elsewhere.
Desserts are nice and small, sample size, so you can taste a bit of everything, if you wish.
Half of the tables are booths with high walls, so not much of an ambiance - even if place was full. So bring lively friends to uplift the atmosphere! A la carte prices are pretty decent as well.
My boyfriend and I love going here whenever we want to satisfy our sushi cravings but don't really want to go too far from home. Don't expect anything fancy here--it's a typical Japanese/Chinese restaurant where the staff always seems a bit harried where they're always hurrying to get from one table to another. But Ryan, the manager, is always a pleasure to speak with whenever he's around. He always has a smile on his face and asks how we are and makes sure we've got everything we need at our table.
Whenever I come here, I almost always order the same thing: the salmon rose, the spicy salmon hand roll, and the avocado salad. It's gotten to the point where some of the staff already know my order as my "usual" but that's a good thing! Makes me feel special nonetheless.
I don't know what it is about their spicy salmon hand roll that I love so much. It's got the crispy tempura bits, generous slices of salmon and their spicy sauce. It's just like any typical spicy salmon hand roll but I seem to love theirs the best compared to all the other sushi places I frequent in Mississauga.
If you live in the vicinity, they offer delivery as well. This is a definite win for me since I can enjoy my "usual" in the comfort of my own home whenever I'm too lazy to leave the house.
