Always satisfying!. I really love this place! The best thing about this place is the baked dishes on the menu. I always order the baked chicken spaghetti with tomato sauce. It has always been satisfying, the food here is great! :) Service is what is typical for any Chinese restaurant so don't expect too much and ambiance is non existent. They have happy hour menus which are printed on a blue sheet and run from 3 pm - 6 pm as well as after 9 pm. Dishes are $6-7 and come with a hong kong style milk tea. My boyfriend and I always go for happy hour and we always leave very satisfied! The restaurant has always been busy when I go but service is quick.
When you first walk in it looks like a dump and I was expecting the worst not going to lie. But the service was great, the young girl my boyfriend and I had was very sweet. The food we ordered came very quickly, and It tasted amazing. I will never be quick to judge again and i recommend the Szechuan beef it was unbelievably tended and melt in your mouth. The only annoying thing about this restaurant is that when someones food is ready they have some kind buzzer or beep.
Good HK style food and economical. Ugly decor. Food is good - typical HK style food, just like what I had when I was growing up. Price is hard to beat - my baked rice comes with a soup and a drink! I love they do free delivery with $20 purchase. The decor - it's old and not inviting. If they update the decor i think this place will be even more awesome.
My Fav Dish.... Love the beef tongue with spaghetti!!!
Fantastic Take Out!. I have been ordering from the Phoenix for over 10 years, I have never had a complaint about the food or the service. I am a creature of habit so I can definately recommend the Orange Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork Cantonese Style and Chicken Fried Rice. Fantastic Portion sizes and you get an amazing meal.
Always passed by this place a million times, decided to try it out. Got the diced pepper beef and I wasn't impressed. It was over sauced and too sweet. Decided to try it out again a second time and had the baked chicken and spaghetti with a side of water with lemon. It was good, would have to say I will be coming back to try the other baked items.
Personally, it's one of my favourite places to eat, ever since I was a kid.
I don't know why this is considered "expensive," but the portions are very large for a very small price. Very good food, but probably wouldn't go here unless I'm on campus late studying.
