Came here for lunch as I was craving a veal sandwich near my workplace. The veal melted in my mouth it was so tender and not chewy like I've experienced at other places. The tomato sauce the used was to die for good. Service was good, friendly, and efficient. While there o noticed they had a great tavola calda selection. Will definitely go back to try for more.

Discovered the place by accident in my efforts to avoid the nearby "overpacked" Tim Horton's, after having picked up some hardwood for our company at Steven's Omni Inc.
After spotting my assistant and I coming in, the owner and his lady quickly bend over backwards to help us out fill our belly with something "rapid-presto, yet decent to ingest.
For me, a fully trimmed veal on a fresh bun worked marvels ...as well as my fellow helper who was equally fully satisfied with a similar chicken sandwich.
Sooo!,... that was a great find..
...most probably will go again.

Prices change everytime I go. In fact a friend and I went for lunch and ordered the same food and got charged different prices. Happened again today. Once is fluke, twice? Somethings up. Inconsistency in price of food leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even eat. Won't go again. Side note, the cashier is not to blame, she has to do what the owner tells her.

I will second that comment about the cashier - been here many times and she is ALWAYS in a bad mood and does give you an attitude if you want to modify an order. Customer service is non-existent here. I have chosen to stop going to this "café" for lunch because despite the lack of friendly service - the food is consistently inconsistent. Too much dressing on salads VS. not enough dressing at all. Prices are way too high for the inconsistency in portions and flavours.

Food vs service. I have been eating at Cafe D'Oro for many years and must say that the food is absolutely delicious. <br/>I have tried just about everything on the menu and can say that these folks know how to cook. <br/>The prices are a little high but the portions are filling.<br/><br/>On a different note, the cashier lady is miserable. For the years i've gone there I have never heard her say thank you or give me a smile. I've considered not going back many times because of her. You think with the amount of money I'm spending a week, she can at least give me a free smile. Oh, and such attitude when i ask for extra butter for my bun.<br/><br/>Well, for now the food has continued to win me over, however, i'm not sure how much longer i can bear the sour look on her face.

I have only been to this eatery three times, but all three times have been fabulous. Each time, I have asked them what a good vegetarian dish would be, and each time I have ended up with a savory meal, that leaves me begging for a pillow at my desk.
