This place is a hidden gem. The best Calabrese bread I have ever had. The meats are to die for and the hot food is delicious. The staff here is always glad to help in any way. Love this place. 😀

Stopped at the Britannia Italian Bakery to pick up a few treats for some friends however I could not resist picking up a few for home. The cannolis are delicious. And the mini cheesecake tarts are decadent. So much choice you might want to buy one or two of everything! They also have fresh gelato for those hot summer days that are coming. Enjoy.

Went in for the first time today and I was honest with the associate and told her that I had never been there before and I wasn’t sure how to order. She was so nice and helpful! She explained everything kindly and was very patient. It was a great first experience and I’ll definitely be back!! Their cannolis and pastries are AMAZING! Thank you so much for the wonderful customer service! An absolute gem of a bakery, truly

Bread is authentic and freshly baked. Hot table food here is delicious, lasagna is my family favourite. Sicilian gelato is amazingly good, my favourite is the espresso flavour. Cannoli are tasty, crunchy and filling is right. Espresso is perfect. The young ladies there lack a bit of caring service when there is too much people they could be rude. Maybe la nonna should be around to remind them about kind service to customers.

I get coffee from them often, since it’s on my route when I’m walking my dog. Ordered a catering menu from them for the first time last night- and it was a huge hit! Everyone went in for seconds. Very generous portions, and very well packed. The pasta, the pizza and the pastries were amazing. The staff is also super warm and welcoming. Will definitely be catering from them for our next dinner.

Great food, friendly staff and great service! So happy to have discovered this family owned Italian bakery with their ready to eat sandwiches and meals at the hot food table, and scrumptious pastries! Thoroughly enjoyed the veal on a fresh baked bun and sinfully delicious hot chocolate for lunch, and grabbed some pastries to take home for my family. Everything is well presented, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Will definitely be back for more!

We have been going to Britannia Bakery for over 15 years and we've never a bad experience. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Patrizia is the heart of this place and we love her to bits.

Was looking for an Italian bakery near me and found this one. Their baked goods are amazing and their hot meals are to tie for. I will definitely go back!

A neighborhood gem. There’s not many places you can sit down and enjoy a nice coffee and some pastries in Churchill Meadows for someone like me who dislikes the big corporate chains so Britannia Italian Bakery is something I truly treasure. They have very friendly staff. Only improvement I’d make is having a clearer and more varied coffee menu (like offering mochas) and maybe improving the indoor and outdoor seating a bit as it is a bit uncomfortable and dated looking. Other than that it’s fantastic!

Came here today for the first time in 14 years, the food was still great and the owner was awesome like I remembered back in high school.

I always enjoy getting lunch at this bakery. The staff are friendly (and graciously explain what I'm ordering), the food is very good with lots of choices. They mix & match, so your lunch is always what you want it to be. The atmosphere is friendly and the prices great.

This place is for those seeking for authenticity. Italian people service a traditional italian food. And it is great! And it is also great to hear them chatting in italian - the music for my ears!
The cannoli are real with the real cheese, and not a sweet north american crap.
However, the truth is the real italian food is first of all the real ingredients - vegetables ripened under the Sun, not in the fridge under the ultraviolet radiation and exposure to the "ripening" gases.

While the desserts were great the service was horrible. The lady "assisting" me (I believe her name was Cathy) was rude from the moment my family and I walked in the store. I said hello and she just looked past us mumbling something under her breath. From that point I knew the situation was going to be awkward. I then asked her how much the price for the dessert items were and all she told me was that they're all different prices without informing of how much they actually were. I was standing there for a good minute asking myself if she was for real before the nice lady behind the cash register gave us a breakdown on how much each item was. After finding out how much the items were, I then said "I'll have 3 cannolis and uhh..." and then she interrupted me telling me how many items I want in total so she knows how big of a box she needed to get. At that time I didn't know for certain how many items I wanted, it could have been 10 or 40, I wanted to pick and choose without feeling rushed, so I just gave her some random number because I just wanted to get us out of there as quick as possible. It's such a shame because their food is delicious but that one lady ruined our whole experience with her awful people skills. I'd recommend going there when Cathy has the day off.

Family authenticity. Great food, authentic. Bread, pastries, cookies, cake all made on premise. The care and attention that goes into the preparation of their peppers, sundried tomatoes, all made by the ma and pop that own the place. Everything fresh and the staff can't be any friendlier.... Been a regular stop for me for over 15 years

Food Not That Great. I am a lover of small Italian bakeries however, I feel as though this one missed the boat in terms of food quality. We had come here for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place itself was quite small therefore, it was a bit crowded as people were trying to line-up for the hot counter. We noticed they had a lot of items available to choose from for both lunch and dessert. We settled on a few different items for lunch. These items were veal sandwich, fried fish with chicken, and fried fish with pizza. The items were prepared immediately in front of us, with the lady behind the counter serving us with a smile. When I had ordered the veal sandwich, I was actually surprised that they didn't ask me if I wanted any cheese on it. As well, they didn't ask me if I wanted it to be toasted, as some bakeries tend to do. We were not asked if we wanted to warm up any of the dishes, which I found a bit strange as the items had been sitting there for quite a bit.

When we obtained our lunch items, we grabbed two drinks (aranciata and limone), along with two egg tarts, and sat down at the tables that were set up for the lunch crowd. The table area was quite small, and not very accommodating however, for the short time that we were there, it was suitable. In total, we spent $33 which we thought was a tad expensive since there weren't too many food items. The veal sandwich was a bit soggy as there was too much sauce. As well, the piece of veal was very thin, and the bread was not crunchy, it was soft and mushy. The fish was a tad salty, and the pizza wasn't the best quality pizza out there. We were not too impressed with the food as it wasn't as good as we've had before. Also, since it wasn't warmed up, it was not enjoyable to eat. I've been to other Italian bakeries, as well as Italy therefore, I know the quality of Italian food and this place just didn't cut it. I may come back to try some of their desserts however for lunch, it wasn't what I expected it to be.

Very bad place ... especially the bread and the food .. everything second choice. I'll never been to Italy, but surely this bakery is horrible

Very bad customer service!. This place is so close to my house and whenever we go to this place, the ladies serving are so disgustingly rude so we stopped going to this place.

Great food. This is a bakery with a deli and a prepared food counter. There are several tables where you can eat in and have a cappuccino. The food is homemade Italian and we frequently drop by to pick up dinner. The pasta sauce is fantastic.

If the Itallian Sisters bring their MAMA you know it's good!. I was introduced to this place by 2 of my friends, Italian sisters, who bring their Mama here for lunch from time to time. The food is beyond excellent. My personal favorite is the Veal Parm sandwich, but I also love the stuffed peppers, or stuffed zucchini when they have it. The bread is fresh and the baked goods... the baked goods are terrible! But only because they have not figured out a way to eliminate the calories! HEAVEN... except for the hips! OH! The pizza is wonderful too!

Small but awesome. This place is made to originally sell bakery items. It's a shop with a mini bar for take out or a quick sit down. The food is great with a small but classic menu. I've been there many times over the years. The food is great, I've never had a complaint. It's not a restaurant so don't expect a big sitting area but it's a great spot for a quick meal.

Over priced and dirty. I am totally surprised to see that this bakery got this high of a rating!
