Review Hakka Magic - Mississauga

S Patel (patelsr)
A family lunch last minute planned and as we all were near Heartland we decided to try this location. The owners were kind enough to move the seating around our large group. We ordered a Hot & Sour Soup (2/5*) - very unlike Hakka style and more sour than hot and spicy. The Vegetarian Manchurian which is second item that we measure all Hakka restaurants and the other one being H&S Soup. This was disappointing as well. The sauce very mild in flavour and the veggie balls too soft. The Hakka Noodles and Veg Fried rice again similar to the other dishes. The spicy Hakka flavour too mild and missing all the essential flavours.

Ordered the crispy beef, chili chicken, shrimp rice noodles and Hakka chow mein. Chicken was very flavourful and not too spicy. There was however little chilis and chili sauce if you like spicy. Beef was tasty and quite crispy. Noodles were decent and came in huge portions. Good service.

Small restaurant but yet very well-maintained. Customer service is excellent and the food is unbelievable. Food is reasonably priced and always served on time. One recommendation though, please consider a larger and more spacious dining facility, that would make Hakka Magic much more superior to other local restaurants in Heartland.

I probably order from these guys once or twice a week, and have for years. My family and I absolutely LOVE their food. They have a great selection of of vegetarian options as well, and all of the food is AUTHENTIC, not just the same frozen chicken with different sauces... Consistent, great food, friendly service. THANK YOU HAKKA MAGIC! PS: when in doubt, chili chicken/paneer 🙌🏽

First time here. Place looks a little worn. Forgot about that quickly once the food came. Wings were delicious. Fish Pakoras were great and the serving was huge. Manchuria Chicken with gravy was nice and spicy. Will be back.

Come here all the time! They're food is highly addicting and feeds my spice craving 🙂. My boyfriend is a vegetarian too so it's an awesome place where we can both enjoy such good food. Price is good and I love the server she's always so sweet!

We read Miami's review and decided to give this place a try. Friendly service, clean & new-looking restaurant. Highly recommend the Hakka noodle and Dry Chilli Beef. Portions huge. I shared with hubby and we still have some to take away. Will definitely come back when we're in the area.

I wanted to try a different Hakka place in Mississauga. After researching online I ended up at Hakka Magic. This place was small and not fancy, but decent food. I ordered Shezuwan fried rice, Hakka Fried rice, Garlic chicken, Fish pakora and Chicken pakora. Everything was good, the best about my experience was the staff. <br/><br/>Very Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere.

I love this place! I was introduced to Hakka Magic about a year and a half ago by a colleague, and we made it our regular bi-weekly spot to meet up for lunch. I've also gone there a few times for dinner... So, I think I've been there about 40-50 times so far.I get the EXACT same order every time, which is a Manchurian chicken (w/ gravy and I add the red chili sauce) and hot and sour soup. Why the same order? Well, why mess with a great thing? They have the BEST hot and sour soup in Mississauga. Sometimes when I'm driving nearby, I'll just stop in to take an order to go. Makes my mouth water to even think about it... ... And that decided it, I'm heading out to get some tonight!<br/>The owner is such a nice guy, and he'll remember your name if you've come in more than handful times, and that level of interaction in restaurants is unfortunately rare nowadays.I've tried 10 other hakka places in Mississauga/Toronto (and there is now a new one to try down the road), but I'm a repeat customer at only 2 of them. Hakka Magic is number 1, and there is another one by the airport I will go to on Monday's when HM is closed and I'm craving hakka.

Ordered hot and sour soup and chicken noodles. Soup they put chewy nasty tasting fat pieces instead of chkn and noodles were cold, under cooked chicken that tasted like they just threw it boiling water. Nasty place to eat woudnt recommend it to any one . left more then most of the food , went to counter to complain the chinese guy at desk said since u have tasted the noodles we can only give u 1$ discount on bill. I said no thank u ill pay u full but never return. Feeling disgusted an hour after eating here. $ 1.69 junior chiken is better option ; dont go here.

Brought here by a friend. Service was quick and friendly. Shared several dishes and was very pleased. Portions were generous and very flavourful. They gladly packed up leftovers to take home. Overall experience was great. Would gladly recommend and I am ready to return again real soon. <br/>

Bad. The food here was plain bad. The rice was very dry and the chicken dishes ordered were not good. The chicken with broccoli just tasted like it was tossed in hoisin sauce and served to us. Nasty. Don't go here is my recommendation.

Hakka Magic. This is a place you go to if you have no where left to go...the staff there is super super rude ( I am sorry but Ch.... people are poor when it comes to customer service; its well known), their staff is super rude too...my friend first got yelled at for sitting at an angle which according to them was blocking the service route ( at that moment there were only a few people in the restaurant). It was just the way he spoke to him(Gosh)! Then I had ordered Chilli chicken with noodles and when it arrived and I tasted it, it was high in salt content. I raised the matter, to which he blasted me saying that this is how this gravy is prepared and all other customers do not have any problems with it, why are you complaining) to which I said listen, I am not arguing with you please change it. He went in and after a while brought back another one which was manageable. During checkout, I asked him why I was paying more for chilli chicken when the price was the same for all preparations, this senior waiter/ owner(God knows who he was) blasted me for my earlier admonition of his staff, saying you said you were well aware of Calcutta Chinese food, so how come you do not know you pay more for noodles (didn't you read the fine print) now I told him listen Mr. you just do not know anything about customer service and we are not coming back to your restaurant ever again. As a foodie I can pay a little bit more for good food and customer service; when there are so many out there why get insulted and spoil your mood speaking to half educated p footing d..gs like this guy. I IMPLORE EVERYONE TO NEVER GO AND EAT HERE. If you do have the misfortune of eating here, read all the fine print and then order. You will be lucky if you manage to come out "unscathed."

Food nothing spectacular. But it is very simple, decent, and yes low price. Fried rice was a little dry, but well seasoned. Staff clearly know their regulars and their favorites. Would try again for sure.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Food is not great but serivce is just pathetic.<br/><br/>The Main-guy that works there is super rude.<br/>I ordered fried rice and i got plain rice by mistake (which is okay because mistakes happen)<br/>To top that up the guy starts yelling at me infront of everyone for placing the wrong order. Who does that?<br/><br/>My friend also got yelled at by him on another day for changing his mind to "dining in" vs. take out that he had initially ordered.

No finer Hakka can be had in Mississauga.  Clean, quick, well priced.  I don't think the owner has once ever failed to come out of the kitchen and greet me at my table.<br/><br/>One of the best lunches in and around the 10 dollar marker one can have in Mississauga.
