Review Szechuan Noodle Bowl - Mississauga

A nice little local restaurant serving some delicious Szechuan style dishes. Flavour is excellent but a little too salty for my liking. Lots of options but not overwhelming. Prices are reasonable for the portions. I would definitely come back but ask them to go lighter on the salt.

Tried the special handmade beef noodle. I think the noodle is spinach based as it was green. Broth was very flavourful. Not very spicy. Good portion size, plenty of noodles but could be better if they give more meat. Worth coming back for sure to try the other dishes. Service was fast, place is clean. Plenty of parking and people are nice

Good place to get Chinese food! Flavorful, generous portion, good service, affordable, what more you can ask for? I was actually worried the food was going to be spicy however the taste was perfectly fine! I’m impressed with the stirred fried noodles with chicken, although it sounds like a simple dish but I certainly can feel the noodles actually absorb the flavor to the fullest! The only dish less impressed was the deep fried spicy potato, was a little too normal for me. Overall, I definitely will be visiting again!

Went out with my brother and my boyfriend for dinner and honestly some of the best food I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! Big portions, super flavourful and many menu options. I had enough food left over for another meal. Our server JT was super accommodating and funny! Definitely recommend and I know we will be back.

I saw this restaurant randomly across the street and decided to pop in, and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the hot special noodle I think it was called with hand cut noodles and beef, spicey, and it was SO good. Full of flavour, tender beef and tasty noodles.

THE place for Dan Dan Noodles. If you’re a chilli oil fan, EVERYTHING on the menu pretty much comes with it. Can’t go wrong with the Signature Dishes - such a great variety of different textured noodles. The service is also top notch and the portions are beyond generous. Have returned here several times and never been disappointed!

This is my first time trying Szechuan Noodle Bowl. I order 3 dishes 1.Chicken Fried Rice-tasty but peas were hard/dry old like it was in freezer for long time, portion size is small and oily 2.Hand Made Noodle Beef- soup flavour is good but the beef was so chewy 3.Dry Noodle ground pork- I like the most but way too oily so can't eat much

Food was very flavourful and for a great price!!The noodles are cooked perfectly with a little bit of chew. Quick service too. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

Here’s the deal:
- great price range $7.99-8.99 per noodle bowl
- clearly loved by the locals (who are not on Zomato to write reviews)
- hand pulled noodles, fresh, as you can tell by the texture and the “chew” to them
- fast service
- it was not overly spicy (as my personal preference) but it does have a bit of heat. spice level: 2 sniffles out of 5.

What we ate: soft tofu in chili sauce with green onions, hand pulled spinach noods with beef.

A tiny little joint tucked away off a major road. I was hoping that this would be authentic and a new hole in the wall I could frequent but sadly it was just disappointing. When I think of Sichuan cuisine, it should have bold flavours and that delightful "ma la" spiciness thanks to Sichuan peppers. This place had none of that. Quite bland, and zero spiciness. Unfortunate, because I was really hoping to like this place. Better off to go to Bashu.

Tip: Debit/Cash payments only.

3.5*

The Good:
- unique Sichuan cuisine that stands out amongst the other Chinese restaurants in 'ssauga
- seemingly authentic as per the Mandarin speaking clientele
- noodles were actually handmade. The noodles in D2 reminded me of pappardelle, thicker than fettuccine
- server was friendly
- place is family-run
- restaurant was clean and homey
- food was SOLID

The only other restaurant with a similar menu, that I can think of in the city, is Bashu Sichuan. Bashu is a HUGE restaurant though, so it attracts larger crowds, bigger parties. So their menu is much larger like their space. And Bashu is also more conveniently located, just a city block north of City Centre.

The only downfall I can think of for Szechuan Noodle Bowl is their LOCATION. It isn't at Mississauga Chinatown, which would be *slightly* better due to Blue Lagoon being there, but it's about 2 blocks West of there.

The plaza that it's in is next door to Scott Funeral Home and there is an Indian sweets place, Indian grocery store, a computer store, and maybe 1 other smaller business. So I'd say this is probably their only not-so-positive about it. This doesn't completely stop people from eating there, but I'm thinking that it would be much busier if it was at Golden Square, for example.

Would stop by again if I felt like a quick Sichuan bite, but I don't think I'd drive out of the way.
