Review Tosca Ristorante Italiano - Mississauga

We ordered the mussel appetizer and a salad to start. The mussel appetizer had a slice of lemon on it with the sticker still on the rine. The dish tasted extremely fishy. The salad was limp and bland. We were craving pasta. My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi bolongese and I ordered the seafood spaghetti. His food looked really yummy...but it tasted very strange, and not a good strange. We couldn't even put our finger on it, it was just not what we expected. And the seafood pasta wasn't bad but the seafood came from the frozen mixed bag of seafood you sea at the grocery store; tiny everything. Overall, the meal wasn't very good, I would not go back.

This place has great food, and great service. We had the four cheese ravioli and minestrone soup, both were amazing. Also the bread is fresh, and the chili oil has a great kick. Also very reasonably price. This new find is going to become a regular.

My girlfriend and I dropped in on a whim. The table bread was fresh and our minestrone soup was delicious. We also ordered the rosé ravioli daily special which definitely hit the spot. Definitely a hidden gem in terms of Italian restaurants in Mississauga.

Went for a NYE dinner as a party of 4. The food was very tasty but portions was very disappointing especially for the price. The service was just okay - we felt that the gentleman working there was just standing and watching us from the bar - we felt very uncomfortable, unwanted and unwelcome. We felt like the staff were waiting for us to leave form the moment we walked in to door. Server was smug/rude, when I asked a question regarding an order. Doubt we will return - it was just an awkward evening.

We didn't particularly eat here. But we did do business with them. We're an HVAC company that repairs hot water tanks, furnaces and air conditioners. Tossca called us saying they needed their water heater repaired and it was emergency as they had hundreds of dishes that needed to be clean. Despite us being very busy, and being located all the way in Toronto, I was able to make special arrangements for a technician to be there in a few hours. Once there we got the water heater working 100% and Tossca was able to resume business. However once we tried to collect payment Tossca said they wouldn't pay us now and mail us a cheque. Months have gone by now and Tossca has refused to pay us despite the extreme efforts we went make sure we could help them that day. They have made many excuses why they don't want to pay and it has become very frustrating. I don't know if their food is any good or not, but any company that have ethics like these don't deserve any business if you ask me.

Absolutely delicious italian food, and professional service, they had no problem accommodating all of my requests, prepared my food to perfection considering my dietary needs. Finally I can go out and eat, and enjoy myself. Tanks Tosca

Pretty mediocre Italian food. The only thing I didn't like, was that the person putting together my food, used her fingers without a glove or tongs, to put the breadstick on my plate ...

That the food here is made with love, you can taste it in every mouthful. My favorite restaurant in Mississauga

Acceptable Italian Food. Customers like it so I am happy. Not as good as real gourmet Greek food but acceptable

Very Dependable.. Located in a large chain restaurant intensive service plaza, Tosca is the best of the bunch. Unlike many of their neighbours they use quality ingredients, have moderate prices considering the freshness and quality, and the service is competent.

On this visit the fish and pasta were flavourful and correctly cooked. You can't expect much more. Opportunities to improve include an improved house white wine selection, something not so sweet, and some sound control treatments as it can be difficult to hold a conversation if the restaurant is more than sparsely occupied.

Great Pasta. Consistently flavourful dishes, friendly, comfortable atmospher and excellent service. The gnocchi bolognese, pizza capriocca and penne arabiata are particularly tasty. One of my favourite restaurants in Mississauga

Bad food. Bad service. I'd rather eat McDonalds. Pizza Marinara was chewy and bland. Obviously frozen bag and sea food remnants.

Overpriced Passable Italian. I've been forced to go here a few times due to it's close proximity to my workplace. Business lunch with clients arrive and we're off to Tosca. It's one of the oldest sit down restaurants in the north business area of Mississauga. This area (until recently) is a restaurant wasteland.

Tosca tries to be somewhat upscale but the food and lack of service makes it no better than the Boston Pizza or Drake and the Firken that are nearby. I've had the bruschetta a few times. Most of the time, it's the average deal and nothing outstanding. One time was miserable and you can tell they plated the darn thing WAY before lunch service. The bread beneath the tomatos was soggy. It was unedible and went back to the kitchen. Salads are ok. Decent sized but sometimes the proteins seemed to be very skimpy (1 slice of proscuitto for the entire salad??).

Pastas are very boring and uneventful. Sometimes they're a bit underseasoned and too bland. What makes it worse is that they charge you for $17 ++ just for sauce and pasta. No proteins at times. I'm so glad I don't pay for most of these meals. You feel like you're getting ripped off.

The service can be very slow. We went once and we were one of 2 tables. It nearly took 7+ minutes to get our bill and we knew they had at least 3 servers running about during the entire lunch. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are far better options now for business lunches.

I RECOMMEND TOSCA!. I have been going to eat at Tosca for many years now, and every time i go i get more and more impressed. If you want the real Italian experience i suggest to go eat there.

When you can't decide what to eat, choose pasta mista!
deliziosa

Best Italian food. I have tried every other Italian place in the city and nothing comes as close to real italian cuisine as this place. I come here all the time and can honestly say that anything I order from the menu exceeds my expectations. I recommend this place to everyone

Good dining Experience. I have been here several times. The food is good, not exceptional. The ingredients could be more fresh considering the prices.

Fairly basic food. The Minestrone soup was good and the pasta was nothing special. The pizza was alright but nothing more. The Parmesan cheese was from a bottle. The service is fast but not too friendly.

It is amazing. The thin crust pizza is the best I've ever had. The veal in the red wine mushroom sauce is my favorite. The people make the experience perfect. 2 thumbs up. I've been going there for 2 plus years and never had a bad meal
