Slow service and rude owner. I was the only customer there and I still waited over 30 minutes for my food.
I got impatient when my food was finally ready, that I left without checking the bag. I had to come back in for tartar sauce and cutlery. Well, the owner got mad and said I should have told them I needed utensils from the start. How else can I cut the fish to eat?
About the food. I was so hungry so I ate right away in my car. I was disappointed with the small portion of fish and the quality was pretty poor. Fries were too salty and hard. Weren't these just made? The fish was alright but the chicken burger was terrible. Very plain with no toppings and it tasted mushy like it was recently thawed from frozen. I couldn't finish most of the food and I ended up getting a burrito nearby to satisfy my hunger.
This was my first time here and I thought it would be great with the reviews. But I realized the good reviews are probably the ones who got something for free for giving 5 stars. Sorry, not giving this place a second try!

Nice small mom n pop store, pleasant and friendly staff. If you're craving for some fish n chips this is the place to go. Portions are just the right amount to fill you up.

I recently visited Traditional Fish and Chips a couple of times and tried both the spicy fish and chips and the baked fish with rice and salad. The spicy fish and chips was delicious, the fish and the fries were both nicely seasoned, and the tarter sauce provided was really good- it tastes homemade. The fries were perfectly cooked and the portion size was huge. The oven baked fish was so tasty that, although it is a healthier choice, it still felt like a treat. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and the menu has a wide selection of other items that I look forward to trying in future visits. Definitely recommend.

Excellent fish and chips! The portions are large and it's a great place to eat over all. The Philly cheese steak is great! The owner is kind and spoke with us after regarding our meal and made sure everything was alright. That's the kind of attitude that's not seen much anymore. Five star hands down. Support local and swing by this sweet little dining gem!

I usually visit this restaurant as its close to home but on 12/25/21 I was very disgusted at what I saw..this review is not to bring negative attention but it is written to let the owners so better...kitchen is dirty..no one uses gloves ,masks or hair nets...if I could eat hear I could eat in a back alley somewhere..as soon as I got home..I saw hair in my husband's gravy..we were so upset we called and the older gent that answered the phone said that's strange..I could give a free gravy..we dis not end up eating our meal nor did we went back to get another gravy...its not about money or free stuff ...when patrons are spending their hard earned money...u should definitely make the location cleaner and more efficient.

Bought the 4 pcs family fish & chips meal (2 cod and 2 haddock). The fish was meaty and batter tasted great (fresh and flavourful), but unfortunately the batter and fish on the thinner ends were too hard and difficult to chew. We were a bit disappointed that it wasn't traditional in that the chips weren't chunky and were actually fries that were a little overdone. The fresh lemon wedges were a nice touch, and the owner was very pleasant and also included a complimentary pot of gravy which was very tasty.

Delicious. Absolutely delicious, breaded and cooked fresh. Seasoning is just right, with a little tar tar sauce for me. This little place is perfect to order for take out and take home for dinner.

Delicious I would recommend to anyone. I recently visited this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. I had spicy fish and a chicken zinger, two popular dishes and they were AMAZING. Very fresh, well prepared food and the sauces complimented the food perfectly. There are a couple of different types of fish, and for those who don't enjoy fish there are also shawarmas and burgers. The 'chips' are cut fresh in the morning. 5 stars would recommend to anyone!
