Even after several not so encouraging reviews, upon insistence of my mom, I tried Wallys . And so glad I did - considering the location next door- ordered their breakfast special, was really yum and perfectly cooked. The decor is worn out, but the food speaks a ton. Loved it and can’t wait to be back for more.
The decor is dated and definitely looking threadbare but this place is the perfect place to go for comfort food! Not just the food, either: Queenie really makes it feel like you are visiting her at home. She is always ready to customize the menu to suit your needs and tastes. The food is scrumptious - I always have the steak and salad. The steak is always tender and tasty and the salad crisp and cool. The coffee is excellent.
I ate here today the salad was REALLY fresh and delicious... I proceeded to pour the remaining feta from the salad onto my fries to make my very own feta fries - which were delicious by the way. With just the right amount of ketchup they were simply scrumptious... I enjoyed the fries because they were exactly what I wanted - those vinegar tasting fish n chips type of fries minus the fish - u know what I mean? Had the craving for those ones. The garlic toast was a little small and not what I exactly had in mind but still good.. Probably better for my figure that they were so small anyway... Kinda hard in texture and a little burnt on edges but still alright... And a can of coke. I was very satisfied - good portions, efficient service and great food ! Hit the spot and would definitely return... Wally's sure is a gem!
Great food, awesome people.. Aside from their huge portions and affordable prices, what really wins me over is the awesome people who run the place. Their fish burger is sooo good and filling, and I always get it with lots of tartar sauce. Feels good to support a local business run by a sweet couple.
Old school faves. Nothing better than a "greasy spoon". and this place definitely is it! the food is all the classics. the wings meal is not only super filling, but the price can't be beat. the fish and chips are pretty good considering that it isn't a fish and chip place. the environment is something to be desired though. I get it, it's an all nighter kind of place, so you will get all kinds of ppl walking through the door. but overall, you get your food, eat and leave, then the experience is fine. breakfast is great too.
My favourite breakfast place in Mississauga. I am a fan of any place that has all-day breakfast, but I would have to say Wally's is my favourite. They give you big, delicious portions at a very cheap price.
Breakfast. I like this place. You can see the food being made and it feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant but that kinda makes it charming. I went for a really early morning breakfast here and everything was really good and traditional. Service was fast and it's relatively inexpensive. Would eat breakfast here again. Had eggs, toast, hash browns and sausages. Big helpings and the eggs were cooked well.
This place is a personal favorite. I've had a hard time finding good chicken wings until I found this place in Mississauga for a good price. Everyone I've brought here loves the food. Fish and chips are a favorite of my girlfriend and the hot chicken sandwich seems to be a fab of friends too
Loved the customer service, the food was really really good. Definitely coming to this place again. They have a huge variety of breakfast meals should definitely give it a try. 5 star to the place and ambiance, 5 star to the customer service and all 5 stars to the food!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Love this spot been going here for years. Would definitely recommend this spot! Open even late and the food is good. Plenty of parking and usually busy.
The food was good... Not great for a diner. Zets and Peter's on Eglinton are better options. Ordered a Chicken Dinner, Steak on a bun and Bacon Burger. Chicken dinner was very good, steak lacked flavour and Burger was over cooked. The staff was friendly. The washrooms were a nightmare. No lock on the door. No stalls on the door. No privacy what so ever and they were disgusting. 4 out of 5 for the food and value.
The brown cook is like my distant lover who cooks my food like a Greek goddess. When he dies I die best food joint on this planet especially when you eat the burger at a medium pace.
Standard greasy spoon diner. Friendly service and great food. Dining room could use an update but it’s clean. Greek souvlaki dinner is my go to, good breakfast and burgers as well.
