Food was hot and good. Didn't take long to get order even though they had to cook the chicken tenders. Definitely recommend to others.
So spicy but full of flavour! I usually get the stir fried fried chicken, cold spicy sliced beef and garlic chilli fish. Amazing every time!
Food was good (very spicy but with lots of chili oil and spices) and plates arrived quickly. However, main complaints are that they were initially too busy to seat us (though in all fairness, we came in Father's Day) and that they charge an obscenely high price for plain white rice and bread rolls - basically, a premium is charged for anything that acts to balance/counter the spiciness. Next time, we're ordering takeout and cooking our own white rice!
Authentic Chinese. If you are looking for some spicy option, this place definitely can offer you some spicy menu :)
Had their spicy chicken and when I sort out the peppers it's two full bowl (rice bowl size). Enjoy!!
Deco is good, toilet is clean too. There are a few private rooms available for private events :)
This place seems to be famous for tourist, so go early if not it will be full/ busy.
Will check out again!. Not sure if this is "authentic" as I'm not fully versed in Sichuan cuisine. However, when I visited, all the clientele was Chinese which says a lot about the authenticity.
Since there was only 2 of us, we only ordered 2 dishes. Didn't finish either, so that gives you an indication about the size if the dishes.
We ordered a noodle dish + dumplings, about a dozen or so. Noodles were tasty, not that spicy or salty. Dumplings, which I was afraid were gonna be from frozen, were homemade. You can taste it in the chewy dough and not-overly salted filling. Filling, although it was good, was on the border of being a bit bland. The good thing is that at least I know there isn't MSG overload in this place!
The only negative would be the lack of waitstaff. There was 1 waitress and 1 busboy. The place wasn't busy, but it did take some time to get noticed in order for someone to take our order. And I also have a feeling that there may be a language barrier, so be patient! Otherwise, everything else seemed fine.
If you do visit, it may be a good idea to bring a few people since you can share more dishes. Don't bring friends who aren't into spicy as this region is all about hot food.
This has got to be the best Chinese food I've had in Mississauga! The potion sizes feed between 5-6 people and the prices are fairly cheap. Will come again for sure.
Excellent, Authentic Chinese Food. I loved Bashu! I'm caucasian and some Chinese friends took me there. I don't think I would have found or heard of it on my own. Yes, some dishes are spicy, but there is something for everyone. I loved the Peking Duck, Salt & Pepper Fish, and Cabbage cooked with Chinese spices (who would ever guess cabbage could be so tasty!).
For dessert, try the fried corn pancake! It is kernels of corn that are deep-fried and formed into a pancake shape being held together by minimal batter. It's crunchy and sweet ...mmmm!
The chef came out to say hello and it turns out he is a very famous chef from a city called Chengdu in Sichuan province. My friends knew of his famous restaurant back in China. Maybe he'll be the next Susur Lee?!?!?
Ba Shu Ren Jia (or Bashu Sichuan) has two locations in the GTA, the original near Pacific Mall and one in Mississauga. My family is big on Sichuan cuisine and have been frequenting the Mississauga location of Ba Shu Ren Jia since they opened...
This is a family favourite restaurant since we get 10% off the bill...my parents are regular VIPs. The service is good and once the order is placed, stand back because the food begins to roll out quickly.
The meal was good for the most part although several dishes lacked a flavour punch tonight. It began with soup and progressed through various selections supplemented with a very large bowl of white rice and wrapped up with a sweet red bean dessert soup. (The sweet bean curd dessert is much better but they seldom offer this item; we asked and Nada again!)
We had a group of 11 people and collectively all scored this place and experience 4 stars. Total bill was $157 cash plus tip.
The kids were amused by the newly installed seafood tanks!
Good Cantonese restaurant!
Free soup at the beginning and dessert at the end. Liked both.
Ordered a 4lbs lobster fried style(bifengtang), a beef with onion on the iron plate, a mixed vegetables, eggplant with garlic sauce. Nothing disappoints. And we enjoyed the lobster a lot! They showed you the live lobster before cooking it!
Got daily specialties for live seafood, so we tried one today, steamed with black bean sauce. Very fresh and fatty, and the sauce accompanied it pretty well.
The portion was large. Six adults plus a kid got pretty full for five dishes, without rice. A nice feast for sure.
Service was good, no complaint.
My cousin had her wedding at this restaurant. It has enough space for around 150 people at the same time, the food was fresh & tasty, the staff was friendly and supported. I highly recommend this place 👍
Staff are friendly and dishes are tasty except for the dessert
Had a very nice dim sum with my family...Lots of variety and they had special prices M-F.. weekends before 11:30am S,M,L =2.90
Good food, reasonable prices, good service. Recommended.
Opened for sit-down dining. They do observe social distancing, mask requirement when not sitting at table, contact tracing info and waitresses always mask on. Food still as good and reasonably priced. Very good service as restaurant was not crowded even on Sunday. We had a safe and pleasant dining experience.
