Last week we came to Gorkha Palace for a dinner with our family while in a tour from Australia through east cost US. We found true test of Nepali food. Momo and it's companion chatni was really represent true test. Those who want to know - how Nepali food differ from North Indian food should go to this place. We felt home being away from home.

This is a great restaurant that presents a variety of delicious menu options. My take-out order included chicken (both steamed and fried) momos and Durbar Lamb Jhol. Full of aromas and flavours and presented with a blend of spices and herbs, all dishes were savoury and exceptional in taste and texture. During my visit, the manager/owner was extremely customer-oriented and wanted to ensure that my experience was quite pleasant. He generously took time to introduce to me the dishes that I could enjoy at his place. Highly recommended!
First time having Nepalese food and I was very impressed. Food was absolutely delicious, chicken was perfectly cooked and served in such a flavourful sauce. Good portions too. Will definitely come again.
I had the great time eating at Gorkha Durbar. The servers were friendly and committed to great service. Durbar Thali combo was fantastic, i would suggest people to try Durbar Thali combo. Thank you for bringing Authentic Nepali Cuisine in the heart of Toronto.

Amazing ambiance and the food just lives upto the expectation! We loved the vibe just as we stepped in with nice decor and nepali music. We ordered the non-veg thaali and that was absolutely worth the price. Great amount and even better quality. Even the achaar and yogurt that comes with the thaali tasted amazing and homemade. Definitely recommend the place! I would go again, anytime.
Got takeouts for lunch and they were sooooo good!! Honestly don’t know why it’s not more well known and crowded.
We got 2 naans, butter chicken, veg manchurian, and chicken momos. We both loved everything and are pretty full without finishing everything, so I’d say portions aren’t that bad.
Unfortunately I don’t live nearby so idk when I’ll be eating here again but I know my friend and her family will!
Staff were friendly and nice, and there seemed to be a lot of indoor seat space too.

Authentic, delicious and really fresh Indian and Nepali food! We had the sweet corn chicken soup (that was perfectly balanced and such great comfort food), followed by the Chicken Choyla for starters (it was beautifully succulent and well marinaded in the most amazing spices). For mains we had the non veg Durbar thali that came with a mouth watering durbar lamb gravy, and an assortment of veg like chhole, mixed veggies Nepali style called Bhudadilit, dal makhani, fresh rice, buttered naan and they also had a little side tray with fresh curd and mooli achaar (pickled spicy radish and ginger). The food cake pretty quick too, within 15-20 minutes.
Very impressed, definitely coming back!
